Great food. Great service. The shrimp & grits were the best Ever. The seafood platter with dirty rice was delicious. The cheesecake was amazing. Very generous portions. The restaurant was clean & staff friendly.

The food is very good and the service was excellent. There was a 30 minute wait but I don’t think it took that long. We both had the seafood sampler. The shrimp was deliciously seasoned but only 3. There were plenty of crawfish. The fries were very basic. I was expecting them to taste a lot better. I also ordered the banana pudding and it was delicious!! Now I definitely would go back for that. It cost $8.95. The food overall is a bit pricey for me. I don’t see it as fine dining but maybe it’s supposed to be.

Used to be good food and great service. Always order my favourite aeafood Gumbo, this time there is no oyster, used to have oyster in their gumbo. cat fish was good not great. Looks like quality not as good as usual…

I had a large party so I won't complain about the wait time. The food tasted great and our server Preston was courtesy and helpful. A+

We stopped in for a late lunch. We had the fried calamari for an appetizer. It was well seasoned and fried nicely. It was some of the best calamari I’ve had in a long while. I had the fried seafood platter. The crab stuffed fried shrimp was delicious. The crab stuffed crab was great. The fried oysters and shrimp were also very good. The fried catfish was just ok. The fried soft shell crab was great. All in all I enjoyed it very much. We also ordered a side of red beans and rice and it was very tasty. My wife had the crawfish etouffe’ and fried crawfish with dirty rice. It was super flavorful. Very nicely done. We originally came in for some king crab legs but they wanted $99.95. No thanks. But we still enjoyed our food very much.

2/16/2022 Just OK 👌. Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that. Took my hunny for a bday dinner 2/9/2022. Service was ok. Since, I do frequent Birmingham Alabama, I might give this place another shot. But, before I go the fried soft shell crab was so good. My mix drink was sweet & delicious 😋 as well. I will update the next time 😚.

Where to start. My mother called this restaurant a few days ago asking if she could make a reservation for 5 today, Saturday at 5pm. Was told by whoever she spoke to on the phone they do not accept reservations. Funny, I go online to pappadeaux general site and they offer reservations until you search the Birmingham location 🫤 Anyway, we arrive around 4:30pm on a Saturday with not a single place to park. Had to drive around several times and catch someone leaving. Red flag #1. Walk in and ask how long the wait is and are told 1hr to 1 1/2 hours. Do you see why reservations are helpful? There was a patio full of dozens of people waiting for at least an hour to be seated. We did get some bar drinks while waiting and they were good. Once we finally got seated about an hour and a half later, it took a while for anyone to even come ask for our drink orders. We ordered apps and dinner at the same time and everything came at the same time. Crab dip was room temp. Shrimp and grits were good. We spend about 3 hours at this place and for the price, service just didn’t match. This was my second time coming, prob won’t come back. Be aware if you come on the weekend, wait is RIDICULOUS and they specified to my family they don’t take reservations.

One of my best fine dining experiences ever. Visiting from Memphis on a couples trip. We had plenty of plates n every dish was exceptionally delicious. I'm a seafood lover n I wasnt disappointed

I hadn't eaten here in so long. I just relocated to Alabama, so I decided to go with a friend. And MAN! They did not disappoint! Everything was great! Even had gator bites as an appetizer. Just forgot to take a pic. But I will definitely be back. Was crowded the day we went, but also was the weekend. The wait wasn't long at all though.

The food and service was excellent. Ms Cherie was a great waitress. She made great suggestions and took great care of us. The shrimp and crawfish fondeaux was excellent. The red snapper Pontchartrain and rainbow trout was excellent. My son said the chicken tenders and fries were great too! He said two thumbs up!

Husband and I took my parents for lunch to celebrate their 82nd birthdays. Not sure if my expectations were too high or if it just wasn't what was expected. But the wait for food was entirely too long and when it did arrive it was not spectacular... just ordinary. I was NOT impressed, particularly with the extravagant prices and the "ordinaryness" of the food.

We went expecting Super and got Good. The people were friendly. The restaurant was clean and so was the restroom. The food was VERY Good and the servings were plentiful. The ambience was NICE, NICE! Our waitress was Helpful but we did get get "overcharged" so check Your receipt.

Great dining experience. Zachary is an amazing host & even carried balloons and went out of his way to accommodate our group. Aarika was so nice and she was a sweet manager who made things happen for our table. I love people who go overboard to provide great customer service. We had a large group of 12… our waitress Serena did a wonderful job with a smile. The rainbow trout was everything & melts in your mouth 🥰

The food is always really good! It's pricey so bring your coins. Definitely my go to spot for a nice date or Birthday outgoing. The swamp thing drink is a hit! The atmosphere is really nice and clean and you can take some pretty cool pics outdoors with the nice scenery! They used to have live bands but I don't know if they still do that anymore!

The server for the section where we were seated actually quit mid-shift before coming to greet us, so a lovely trainer/ bartender waited on us and provided superior service! The food was worth the drive from Jackson, Mississippi as I have done several times before.

Everything was at a high level! Looking forward to returning. I ordered the fried seafood platter and my husband ordered crispy alligator and seared grouper.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest. It sure did surpassed my expectations, it was beyond delicious. The atmosphere is great and very enjoyable. The waiters were very knowledgeable and helpful with our platter choices. This is a perfect place for a date out with your partner. The dim lights, not too noisy, and especially the flavorful food. Loved it.

Pappadeaux is by far one of my favorite cajun seafood chains. I have not been disappointed yet. I have frequented the location in Texas and Atlanta several times. However, I decided to take my mother here on a mother-daughter date. You can tell from the pictures that she enjoyed herself. ;-) The drinks were incredible, and the food was top-notch. Our waitress was exceptional and went out of her way to ensure that our food was made to order. I had the blackened red snapper, and my mother had the trout. We also had the calamari for an appetizer, which was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

Goodness gracious!!!!!!! This restaurant right here is the absolute truth!!! I love it and I'm sure anyone else will too. Go try them out by all means. The service was just phenomenal and the food was divine plus some. Whew! EVERYTHING was FABULOUS!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and I've got to say that we were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, our server, and most importantly our meal. Everything was top-notch and more than we expected. The blackened catfish and the red beans and rice meal was absolutely amazing. The fish was extremely tender juicy and exceptionally well seasoned. The red beans and rice was exactly what we would have expected had we eaten at a restaurant in Louisiana. We will definitely go back when we are in Birmingham next.

I've made it to Pappadeaux in Alabama and it well worth the wait. Out here for two weeks for my job coming Memphis TN and most definitely will be back at this location or another one 🤔!! Food was great but IF YOU DON'T HAVE PATIENCE CAUSE THERE'S A LOOOOOOOOONG WAIT!!! Place was packed unless you don't eating at the bar. Overall my experience was phenomenal. The Crispy Gator and Stuffed Grilled Shrimp 🍤 😋 were 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾.

I agree with all the good comments for this restaurant. Yum yum moist golden brown seasoned just right. The wait is worth it it just shows they take their time because they know what they're doing. Look forward to going and sitting down and enjoying this menu that is so filled with seafood that is so hard to come by and they also have where you can buy it fresh.

The Wait wasn't tht bad but the food was VERY DISAPPOINTING. WAY TOO MUCH OIL IN PASTA, CAUSING THE NOODLES TO GET SOGGY!! My husband's meal was way better. And seeing tht we finally had an opportunity to eat here I hate to say it might have been our last.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and we were pleased. Although it was pricey, the food and drinks were delicious! We definitely would come back! Our waitress was very helpful as well.

O.M.G. This food was so good. I have never experienced such a delicious meal that after one bite I was in awe. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The wait was outrageous but after eating the food I understand the almost 2 hour wait! The dessert was a massive slice of cheesecake I had to just trash after 3 days of eating it. The spinach and crab dip was just buttery warm goodness. My chilean sea bass was flaky and flavorful on a bed of sauteed spinach and dirty rice, I think was the side. I think of this meal in a longing, lovingly way. I was expecting an overrated experience but I was so wrong! The pictures do not do this food justice. The drinks were very good too. The service was very good.

I could believe this was a chain restaurant, it was the best Cajun food I've had, and I've been to New Orleans several times. I said what I said. I had the shrimp and grits and I'll be dreaming of it for a long time. Absolutely adorable atmosphere and very attentive staff. I'll be coming back for more!

My husband decided where we go to eat and it was delicious. The wait was alittle long, but they have an outside bar and TV. So while we waited we had some drinks and got to watch the football game

We had a great experience. Good service did not wait too long, and the food was amazing. In my opinion, the salmon & scallop dish was the best salmon dish I have eaten. Dish has some heat, and I loved it.

We were visiting Alabama and heard great things about this place, but unfortunately, it did not meet those standards. The server was great! The food was okay, and the drinks were watered down. Everything was brought out closely and 8pm. Being from New York City, the prices definitely did not collate with the taste of the food.

Food was EXCELLENT! Service was great and the Mangers came over and spoke. Highly recommend this place. Just like being in New Orleans!

First time eating here. I have been wanting to try it for a long time. Arrived for lunch at noon, it was not busy. Tables seated after us were greeted and ordered their drinks and food while we sat and waited on our server. Meanwhile we ate the crackers and bread and were not hungry by the time we got our food so we had to take it with us. Fries were basic. I wouldn’t consider it fine dining. Mr. R was our server, he was pleasant but Joseph is the one that took our drink order then came back and took our food order. We were not given silverware/dinner napkin. We asked for napkins and were given hard paper towels that looked like they came from the restroom… Had to ask for our drinks to be refilled twice. I had high hopes but was very disappointed.

First time eating here and it was fabulous! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Went for a late weekday lunch and even then had a 20 minute wait but well worth it.
