I do understand how difficult it must be to offer good food AND good service. This place has decent food but the customer service is TERRIBLE. I can’t deal with employees with bad attitudes, it overshadows good food every time. I came in to pick up an online order, upon entry I was not greeted, nor acknowledged. I sat behind the counter patiently for a few minutes before I decided to walk to the bar and tell them I had an online order. That’s when the little man exploded on me and pointed for me to go wait in the waiting area. I understand the policies, there is still a way to talk to people no matter the situation. You can’t talk to grown men like they’re children. If you want people to wait in the front, have someone to greet them at the front, or at least acknowledge guest who enter and tell them you’ll be right with them. I ended up coming back in to get soy sauce for my to go order, the little man did not seem happy that I asked for it. The little man in the photograph with the cap had a repugnant attitude and he’s the reason I cannot visit this establishment again.

First time visiting as we travelled through Birmingham and it was a great experience! We really enjoyed the curry, pork belly, noodles and dumplings. Good portion sizes and nicely seasoned food. Kids enjoyed it too! The owner really takes pride in what he does. We will be back!

I was excited to support this small business as a small business owner myself, but unfortunately several progressively worsening issues led me to write this review. When I looked for a nearby Thai Restaurant to try Yummefy came up with good reviews and decent plant based menu options. I ordered some spicy noodles with Tofu through the stated “preferred” ordering platform of Postmates/Uber per their Google Business page. When I arrived at the restaurant and picked up my order the gentlemen at the front, apparently the owner, chastised me and told me I was “hurting his business” by ordering through the platform. He told me to call or order through his website. I understand how these platforms take large cuts from restaurants as I work in this space frequently, but his approach to educating his customer base to help him could be much better and also he could keep his community engagement platforms updated so they aren’t using supposed “preferred” platforms if they aren’t what serves his business best. I wished that was the worst of it. Upon enjoying my lunch I found not only a piece of shrimp in my vegetarian dish, but an uncleaned piece of shrimp at that. From the unsanitary and irresponsible food safety issues to the poor customer service, this was an undoubtedly unpleasant experience. I would highly suggest the owner take heed of these issues and fix them while restaurants are under so much scrutiny and troubles in this time we live in.

Excellent place to eat. All the food was awesome and flavorful. The service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere was very nice, with some light music in the background. All the food came in disposable to go style bowls so I could just take what I didn't finished and go. Excellent place, don't second guess, just go here.

We ordered chicken chow mein. $12 No chicken. My 10 year can cook better. No taste. Also ordered pork belly. Come on. Zero taste. Zero texture and attention to portion size. I’m a food writer from London and have to say I spent $45 and threw all of it away.

Of course the best fusion restaurant in downtown Birmingham. What do you crave for - a Thai dish, Indian style curry, Chinese style fried rice, Nepali style dumplings or noodles you name it. They have it all made out of love. A perfect lunch spot.

Yummefy is great because it has vegan options. Went with two vegan friends and we all found something we enjoyed. I also liked the boba tea.

I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu as well as chickpea salad. All of the ingredients were so fresh. I felt like I was eating a home cooked meal I would have prepared.

It was fantastic, our waitress was a very friendly young lady from Ghana. This is our second time here, and the food was still amazing! I had the Spicy Himalayan Chicken there and got the Dragon Chicken to go. They are both very good, especially if you like spicy food. My wife got Gorkhali Chicken and Spicy Basil Chicken to go. They were very good also. The service was fast, friendly and the food was hot (temperature)

One of my favorite Asian restaurant in Birmingham downtown where you can get some authentic spicy food. I would highly recommend Spicy Mountain Noodles, Chicken Korma and Tikka Masala.

A delightful experience for Sunday lunch, served by the owner. Delicious food! Coconut soup was simple and satisfying. Edamame was perfectly crisped. The special of the day was flavorful, with three levels of heat offered. Many curries and chicken korma featured. Also sampled the kimchi; well-spiced! Enjoyed strawberry Mochi for dessert. Sipped the boba tea. Definitely will return.

Clean facility. Friendly people. Lots of variety. Good lighting. Great lunch spot. Edit to add: both times I have been here I have received excellent service. My waitress was so friendly to me and my son today. I really appreciated her talking about galangal with me, and asked her a little about Nepal. Everyone in here has been so sweet. The food is always so fresh and well presented. Thank you! I love the drunken noodles, but can’t wait to try the different curry options and coconut soup. Thank you for the mochi!

I love coming to this restaurant! I always get the chicken stir-fry or the shrimp fried rice. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the taste is always amazing. Customer service has always been good to me as well. Definitely, one of my favorite spots to go for lunch

Liked the food freshly prepared and the service from the young girl. She explained the menu and the contents of several dishes. Basil fried rice, spicy mountain noodles, tempura shrimp and edamame is what we ordered. Loved it.

Good food, terrible customer service. I'd like to note that this was my third time in the restaurant, and it will be my last. When I arrived, the only other customers were already sitting at a table and eating. I was quickly seated. The woman who seated me didn't take my drink order. I sat there for about five minutes, being the *ONLY* customer who had not been waited on, when two more guests came in. They were also seated. About five minutes after that, the man who was working in the front went over and took the orders of the two men and got their drinks to them. This entire time, the woman was repeatedly moving across the dining area, completely ignoring me. At that point, two more guests came in and the woman promptly went to the front to greet them. It was at that point I got up and walked out. I've never seen service this terrible, and I will never go into this restaurant or order their food ever again.

I have visited this establishment 3 times and each time I had no issues. Food was hot and fresh. I drove back to my home over 80 miles away after a doctor's appointment and the food was still 🔥.

First time visiting. Very fast and friendly service. Went in to grab supper to-go, ordered Pad Thai, and they had it ready in only about five minutes. The Pad Thai was not what I’ve become accustomed to from Thai restaurants (it had lots of bell peppers, very few bean sprouts, and the sauce was less sweet), but I wasn’t disappointed - it was good. The serving size was generous and it was fresh and hot. I’d like to return and try some of the curry dishes and other items on their expansive menu.

The food used to be good but now the quality went down. I ordered a coconut chicken curry and the chicken they used is not tender. When I told them I need a replacement the chef shouted at me to get out. I was shocked by their behavior. Please guys chicken should be tender and soft don’t accept anything less if the chicken is hard it means it is old don’t accept. Stay safe stay healthy.

This place is terrible. The picture is pork fried rice and that is all fat and gristle no real meat. Do not go there unless you’re a college student drunk and 3am The worst

The Food was great and full of flavor. I had the Spicy Mountain Noodles (Delicious) and my wife had Tofu Drunken noodles and we shared dumplings. The dumplings were OK, but the noodles absolutely fantastic. The problem, which was very upsetting was that the Very Hot food was served in plastic containers. And if given the option i would have had a metal fork and plate. For that reason I give this restaurant a 4.

Friendly workers, entertaining music, food is delicious! Depending on the day it may take long to get your food so if you are in school or work and come here for lunch don’t expect your food to come out immediately. I wouldn’t recommend eating here if you have 30 minute lunch but overall i love this spot so far ! I’ve ate here three times so far and the drunken chicken noodles and pad Thai are delicious! Definitely give them a try if you are in town or looking for a yummy Asian cuisine. :)

Server told me I couldn't have dragon chicken without peppers and onions. He suggested I try the sweet and sour chicken. I agreed. My meal arrived covered in cilantro. I asked if I could have the meal redone without the excessive amount of cilantro. The server stated I didnt request and everyone at his restaurant has to have something green on their plant. I told him I didn't know the food would come with cilantro. The server chatted with the cook and came back with a menu and informed me that they don't recook the same meal for the same person I had to choose a different item. I ended up not eating and leaving extremely disappointed and hungry.

*Really* good food here; my first experience was a takeout order and, once home, the food was fantastic! Ordered two orders of the Spicy Drunken Noodles (one tofu, one chicken) and both were delicious! Also ordered a veggie dumplings but discovered once home that they were pork; so lesson carried over from placing takeout orders from any other restaurant - def. check your food before leaving (even with it bagged and stapled shut). Despite the order error, definitely looking forward to eating here again, maybe next time in-restaurant. Casual atmosphere, easily locatable - parking *might* be a bit of a challenge depending on when you go. 👍🏾

I came on a Sunday around 8:15pm with my mother. The posted closing time on the restaurant door and online was 9pm. When we arrived, they had already closed off seating. We were told we would have to order take out, which we did. 10 minutes later, a group of four men come in and are immediately seated. We were told the kitchen closed at 8:30, why were they seated so close to "closing time" and we were not??? It was not only incredibly misogynistic, it was simply rude. When we got our food we kindly voiced our issue to the bartender who was also very rude and dismissive. 1) If you're going to say you close at 9pm, stay open until 9 or update your closing time. 2) seat everyone, or seat no one.

First time eating here and it was fantastic! The restaurant serves several types of Asian food (Thai, Chinese, Indian and Nepalese) You get a choice of heat level with the entrees and be aware that spicy here is very spicy! Which is very good but if you are sensitive to it order mild because you can add heat later. Each in our party got a different type of food so we had a good selection to chose from. The specialty is Nepalese food and if you haven’t had it - it is amazing. A sort of wonderful blend of Indian/Chinese/Thai with the best of all genres in a dish. Again be mindful of the spice level so you can enjoy it. I got mine hot (not a boast - but it SHOULD be!) and loved every bit of it. The place has a great atmosphere- sort of Asian-fusion, modern with a heavy dose of Nepali - it’s wonderful, open and inviting. I read some of the reviews and I have my doubts about them - the folks take such good care of the food and it is so amazingly fresh. I highly recommend giving it a try it’s a great addition to the Birmingham landscape.
