I could give this place 0 stars. Incredibly rude staff, came with my boyfriend for food only to be told we weren’t allowed to be served and were told to leave despite having been in there multiple times and served by this woman (Lauren) previously before being told this. Asked if there was anyone else we could speak to and was told there’s no one else here, not even a manager, and that she was just told that he wasn’t allowed to be served for something he did last time he was there (he was there with his family). We decided to leave after being treated poorly by this member of staff, to then be told that she ‘might have got the wrong person’, and ‘I was happy to let you stay’, even though we were just told we weren’t allowed to be served by the same woman. The way she spoke to us was incredibly rude and was quite shocking, we were spoken in a manner that felt like we had done something awful even though we were there for food. Will never feel comfortable going there again.

First time in a long time in the hornet and after earlier being in the bishop vesey boldmere unfairly I'd say it seems dark and dowdy . But the staff on duty a young girl and lad and a blonde haired more mature lady were extremely efficient and friendly through our visit.. good service

Just popped in for breakfast and was really impressed. A welcoming pub. The food was great and real value for money. The staff were friendly and the service excellent. Would definitely come back again when in the area.

Love eating here. The pub isn't too big, and not too busy. Everyone is so friendly and the food is really nice

Been coming here for years and seen many changes in management but have to say Sue and Jamie and their team are absolutely brilliant! Always make sure we are okay when they see us arrive and happy to help with anything. As for the food, I always recommend the fish and chips! If you come here you won't be disappointed 😊

Been going here for years with my family, including only 2 weeks ago. Went in today with my girlfriend and was rudely told that I'm not allowed in and would not be served due to "something I did the last time I was there", despite the fact that I had already ordered food. I'm fairly sure this was related to something my friend had done almost a year prior, totally unrelated to me. I have been in multiple times since and have had no issues, including times in which I have seen and spoken to the manager (as has my friend). Asked to speak to a manager today and was told there wasn't one there for me to speak to. Extremely disappointed and currently awaiting my refund, and quite frankly, an apology.

The staff are attentive, polite and welcoming. They offer a range of alcoholic beverages. The food is always received within a timely manner and nicely presented. My son who is a picky eater loves coming here for food and he gives it a 10/10.

Lovely pub. A really nice atmosphere in here on a Saturday afternoon. Portion sizes were much better here than in our local Spoons. It felt a lot better value for money. Manager was lovely too. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Went there for breakfast. Very friendly staff, Sue brought the food out and was very accommodating, letting me know where additional sauces were. The food was very good and I was satisfied that it was good value for money. I would happily go again.

Pleasantly surprised at our visit here on Sunday. Food was presented nicely and cooked well. The other people in the pub were welcoming. It's clean and the staff are friendly. There's always staff around cleaning and are happy to help if you need assistance. The best part was the fudge cake. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Visited this pub tonight and first time ever being I'd by a woman who didn't even look old enough to work there never mind askin me for I'd lool she also had an attitude problem when I guess in the. Owner said to serve me as she's seen me a few times the young girl kept watching my every move for no reason what so ever clearly u need to learn people skills and get some bloody manners and respect for customers u work the bar collect glasses and plates for god sake get some music on so there's an atmosphere in there and not let it look like a care home for the elderly for crying out loud

The atmosphere is warm and the staff are very welcoming and polite. We had had lunch with friends. The food was delicious, definitely the best pub in the area. Will definitely be eating in there again. One of the best Wetherspoons I’ve been to

Lovely friendly staff. We had the boneless chicken basket and an all day brunch. It was cooked to perfection and served swiftly at 9:20pm Wednesday. The place was almost empty.

Visited last Saturday night for some food with family. Not local at all but was in the area so popped In for some food and was pleasantly surprised. Food was top tier spoons quality. The staff were really nice and friendly. Who I assume to be the manager was very customer based and gave a great impression as did the rest of the staff on.

Very nice place food was hot and tasty. l asked for a cup of hot water for .y own tea and the barman got it for me free of charge. The last in a wetherspoons l got charged a pound, so it was very nice not to be charged. Nice Staff and friendly people who were having breakfast there.

Exstremly Busy Maybe due to being the most local and location not far for the stadium, Not well managed as tables were not cleaned after meals and glasses left.

Dirty tables. They don't take empty glasses off your table. .... I heard bar staff talking bad about customers. The toilets you need arm bands or waders to enter. They don't clean then offten enough. Staff rude and favour regulars photo of the toilets for disability users was taken about . 8:30

They had no mixed grills after ordering them, and the roof in the bar started leaking causing us to have to move tables in an already rammed pub. Too noisy to talk and to rammed to relax. Beer was fine and staff were great, so likely 'just one of those days' there, as I have been once before and was great so I'd definitely give it a chance just don't expect anything special.

Just down the road from the Tyler, The Hornet was quieter. I liked it. Pleasant staff and very happy locals by sounds of it.
