The
classy
Rectory
pub
is
an
establishment
in
St.
Paul’s
square.
It
has
been
serving
quality
craft
beers
to
generations
of
customers.
I’ve
never
had
the
pleasure
of
eating
here.
I’m
happy
to
say,
after
my
visit,
I
am
chuffed
with
the
experience.
It
is
21st
century,
COVID
sensitive
culinary
experience.
The
customer
downloads
an
app,
allowing
them
to
choose
food
and
pay
for
it.
Once
paid
for
on
the
app,
all
you
have
to
do
is
patiently
wait.
The
food
selection
is
humble,
but
a
familiar
pub
affair
with
modern
twists.
The
standout
dish
for
me
was
the
duck
and
pork
sausage
roll.
It
was
a
perfect
combination
of
light
puff
pastry,
meat
and
sauce.
It
looked
beautiful
too.
Each
dish
was
prepared
to
a
high
quality
and
tasted
superb.
The
serving
staff
were
humble
and
helpful.
The
back
yard,
outdoor
seating
area
is
enclosed,
stacked
with
garden
brollies
and
out
of
the
wind.
Just
bring
a
puffer
jacket
in
case
the
British
weather
does
something
unusual.
