I
booked
a
table
for
15
people
a
month
in
advance.
I
had
confirmation
of
the
booking
and
didn’t
hear
anything
else
from
the
restaurant.
I
emailed
3
days
before
the
event
to
add
people
to
the
booking
and
received
confirmation
that
they
could
be
added.
On
the
day
of
the
event
I
received
a
call
asking
if
we’d
be
attending
as
they
were
going
to
cancel
the
booking?
I
asked
why
I
wouldn’t
be
attending
as
I’d
asked
to
add
people
to
the
booking
a
few
days
before
and
was
told
they’d
sent
menus
and
not
received
a
reply.
I’ve
checked
my
emails
and
I
did
not
receive
any
menus
or
requests
to
prebook
the
meal.
When
we
arrived
someone
came
to
the
table
to
take
a
drinks
order.
Nobody
came
to
the
table
to
take
further
drinks
orders
as
more
people
arrived.
Throughout
the
meal
guests
had
to
go
up
to
the
bar
to
order
drinks
as
nobody
bothered
to
come
to
the
table
to
ask
if
anyone
wanted
to
order
more.
Everyone
arrived
and
was
seated
but
it
took
half
an
hour
for
someone
to
come
and
take
a
food
order.
Food
took
a
while
to
come
with
some
people
finishing
their
food
before
others
even
received
theirs.
Once
I
got
home
I
checked
the
receipt
and
saw
a
£30
service
charge
had
been
added
to
the
bill.
Usually
I
would
be
happy
to
pay
a
tip,
especially
on
a
large
booking
however
the
service
was
non
existent
and
definitely
not
worth
a
£30
tip
in
this
case.
