Cute pub, just a short walk from The Bullring. Friendly staff, good cocktails, and really fun bar trivia night on Thursdays. They have outdoor seating, a pool table, and some rooms that are more private away from the bar area. There is no kitchen though, so no real food (only small snack bags for purchase).

The Anchor Is one of the best pubs period. Between the staff who go the extra mile to keep everyone smiling and safe, to the atmosphere created by an eclectic collection of people, to the exemplary cocktails dreamt up by Charlotte and Lewis, you'll not find a finer place on a Wednesday evening to get your thirst for conversation and copious amounts of well balanced drinks quenched. Theyre also all manors of pet friendly.

Just had a quick pint of cider before I got a bus. Really nice bar with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't hesitate to pay a visit!

Great local pub. Great drinks choices and fun and quirky atmosphere. Pop in for a quiet pint, or go to one of the many events they put on.

Really lovely pub. We visited just after opening on a quiet mid-day, so were the only customers. Great time to appreciate such a clean, well maintained old pub . Very good choice of beers on handpumps, unusually including several ciders and a perry. Good music choice, and a very nice pool table. Several rooms for all tastes; note that the craft beers are expensive for this area, but worth it.

I've been travelling around the UK for 3 months, this is the best hand pull beer I've had! A random stop but the cracking beer and staff made it worthwhile.

Used to visit quite a bit years ago but not been recently. Always loved the Anchor and it's a little different now but still a chilled place, love the little beer garden. Pale Brummie was really refreshing and well kept. Nice staff and friendly gaffer.

Great little pub with outside seating. The bar area is a little small but otherwise great. Good selection of beer, cocktails and spirits.

We stopped off here for a quick drink, and very swiftly fell in love with the place - a lovely welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful decor... and best of all, that rarest of Tayto crisp flavours, PICKLED ONION!!! 🧅 Couple that with a wonderful local cask ale or three, and you've got some happy customers!

As a non-drinker: Decent pub, no pub food, has some snacks. Prices seem ok. Some more private rooms and spaces available as well as outdoor parts. Music can get very loud during the evenings, along with the crowd. Area around isn't great to walk to and from at night.

Seemed interesting. I went in, looked around, stood at the bar. The barman was less than 10 feet away but totally engaged with his phone. I waited. Nothing. I waited. Nothing. Eventually I got bored and walked out, you shouldn't reward that sort of service. Maybe another time.

Beautiful old pub just 5min walk from city centre and bullring, over the road from digbeth coach station and O2 Institute. Great selection of ales, ciders and cocktails. Music in the pub was excellent. Pool table. Outdoor seating front and back of pub. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

My favourite pub in Brum, staff always friendly and welcoming. The pub has a genuine sense of community . If you remember what the best of Brummie pubs were then The Anchor is well worth a visit.

Superb pub. Fantastic real ale and cider. Interior a bit tired but quality of real ale and politeness of staff is all that matters. Within 3 minutes walk of Brum bus station, Digbeth. Great for a quick liquid refreshments stop gap between buses.

Been a little while since I was in this classic Birmingham Boozer..there are a few still left around Digbeth. Lots of little rooms around a central bar selling a handful of well kept ales and craft beers. Maybe a little higher priced than average, think 5 to 6 pounds a pint, more city centre prices than back street Digbeth. That said, the pub and punters are friendly. There is a pool table in the bar, and you can pick the music by an app. It's handy for the start or end of a night out, and like the handful of pubs left in this end of the city needs lots of thirsty support. Recommended just to enjoy the old fashioned pub vibe but definitely with a modern twist.

Lovely little pub with fantastic, friendly staff that are more than happy to help. Would definitely go back again. No car park attached to the pub but one across the rd you can pay £4 for all day

The staff are super friendly and I enjoyed the quiz nights that I managed to get to on Thursday nights. The quizzes are different each time I go and so fun. The cocktails that they make are amazing and I would definitely recommend going and trying them. I had the cherry blossom and it tasted amazing.

Still the Great Public House that it's Always been, it's been a long time since I've been here. The Atmosphere and the Staff are Extremely Friendly and Approachable, especially the Young Lady. I wouldn't Hesitate to Recommend this Pub for a really Refreshing drink or two. Only fault I've got is that I can only award 5⭐️ as that's all I'm allowed to give. I'd easily give 10⭐️

Great vibe. Want somewhere quiet? This place has the front bar with a pool table and darts. A side room which I see people doing all sorts of cool stuff in (from playing warhammer, book club, knitting, etc). 2 back rooms, 1 fairly big and 1 which is much more intimate. It also has a sheltered courtyard with heating in the booth. On top of that., awesome staff and an eclectic mix of music 🎶

What an awesome little bar. Pool table, beer garden, outside tables. 1700s built (apparently) 1890s kit out. Spot on

The Anchor has a great range of beers and cider on draught, as well as a selection of cocktails on the menu. The outside area is great as well as it's covered but you still get some fresh air - plus, the staff are all so lovely!
