First time experiencing a Wagamama so didn't know exactly what to expect! Visited for lunch and our food turned up within minutes of ordering. I had the Katsu Chicken curry which was simple but delicious and really filled me up for the rest of the afternoon. The Nourish Mint smoothie was so refreshing too! The dividers splitting up the benches made me feel a little more comfortable with COVID. Only let down to our visit was it took ages for somebody to acknowledge us to pay up once we'd finished, you can pay using your phone by scanning a QR-code on the menu so I would highly recommend doing this. Look forward to my next visit though to try the other menu offerings. 😁

After a long day of shopping, me and my daughter decided to try Wagamama for the very first time. No Regrets. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and the incredible aroma of Japanese sauces. The restaurant was filled up (5pm) but we managed to snug a table. The setting of the restaurant is very modern and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. Our waitress Anna was really friendly and accommodating. She patiently explained the different dishes and their flavours and recommended me the Ginger Chicken Udon; I also got some Hoisin Duck Buns, Bang Bang Cauliflower and my daughter ordered the Vegan Chicken Ramen. The portion of our mains were massive; the crunchy veg worked with the chicken beautifully and the udon noodles were flavourful and chewy. Since I wanted extra chicken on my main, chef Erika gave me some seasoned katsu on the side which was absolutely mouthwatering!! The buns were little bombs of yeasty goodness and the duck was succulent. Cauliflower was also packed with flavour and spice. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her main dish, which had some sweetcorn, giving it a bit of sweetness, which balanced out the heat. Shout out to chef Pedro who prepared us a very special dessert, which included a fried bun, ice cream and seared marshmallow. The flavours were perfectly balanced and the presentation was stunning. What a great way to end an epic meal! I’d love to visit again! It’s a nice place to go with friends, family, or a partner. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant.

I LOVE WAGAMAMA !! But, after asking to move tables due to being sat under the AC unit, the young lady was more than helpful and told us where to move too. And then out nowhere a member of staff came charging over with a terrible attitude telling us that we are NOT to move tables on our own accord. I was extremely rude back to her after the way she approached me, my partner and young daughter and abruptly told her we had requested the move and hadn’t done so off our own back. The lady then spent the rest of our meal whispering into other staff members ears and looking in our direction. Do yourself a favour and stick to the Wagamama closer to broad street near where the stairs and fountains are.

Perfect for a relaxed dinner on the move.⁣ . ⁣ Verdict: To be added to the list of "regulars"⁣ . ⁣ Décor: 6/10⁣⁣ Food: 8/10⁣⁣ Service: 9/10⁣⁣ Overall: 8/10⁣⁣ . ⁣ Background:⁣ Wagamamas is a large chain of restaurants serving Japanese inspired cuisine across the UK & Europe. We had been meaning to visit for a while, firstly because one of us had never been, and also because of the recent addition of a "vegan egg" to the menu. We visited on 13 December, after a visit to the Bullring. ⁣⁣ Food:⁣ On the recommendation of my girlfriend, we went for a "Yasai Katsu" curry each, with a side of "Bang Bang Cauliflower" to share, and a "Vegan Egg" to try. The Curry was based around sweet potato slices battered in sweet breadcrumbs, and served with sticky rice, vegetables and pickles in a "katsu" sauce. The dish tasted great and was very filling; neither of us were able to completely finish. The Cauliflower side was a little spicy for our pallettes but one order ample to be shared. The Vegan Egg was far from exceptional; a little pasty and vinegary tasting and we whilst we are glad we tried it, we wouldn't be ordering it again. ⁣ ⁣ We had the "White Chocolate & Ginger Cheesecake" (great, as expected) and "White Chocolate & Matcha Cheesecake" (hesitantly, not liking Matcha from previous experience, but glad we had tried it as it was surprisingly good). The offer of complimentary green tea at the end was much appreciated.⁣ ⁣⁣ Service:⁣ The venue was very busy on arrival, which is expected this close to Christmas. Seeing this and the seating arrangements, we asked whether we could sit side-by-side but were initially refused. We made the same request to the staff within the restaurant and it was accepted. This was appreciated given that the restaurant was so noisy and had we been sitting opposite each other we would have struggled to hear each other.⁣ ⁣⁣ Decor:⁣ It was very cold the night we visited, and there was a draught blowing throughout the restaurant. Even though we were sat towards the centre of the restaurant and there was an "air-curtain" at the door, it was still felt due to the constant opening of the door. Timing: We stayed for around 90 mins, which was plenty.

The food here is delcious. The pork and chicken bao's are my favourite and the katsu curry had an amazing flavour to it. They do all sorts of food and drinks and there is a vegitarian and vegen section. It's alright for kids but if they are very fussy then this is not the best place for them.

First time here and we totally enjoy! It was really amazing if you don't eat meat they have plenty of choices soo tasty, it's not noisy around, the staff was very friendly with their customers and the food came quickly, very generous portion . Everything was perfect we will come back here without hesitation 🍲👍🏻

Nice food, but not the best Ramen in town. Service was good, but the restaurant is a little on the noisy side due to its acoustics. I enjoyed the food and reasonably priced, but as with a lot of restaurants offering a type of food from another country or culture the food has been changed to better fit local tastes (IMHO having dined at many Ramen, Soba and Udon restaurants in Japan), but definitely worth visiting if you like the food and relaxed atmosphere. We have been before and I would go again, but probably not for Ramen.

Food was delicious but communication and attitude between waitresses were horrible . Starter after main course , 4 people at the table but only 2 forks worst of them all is they threw the plate and left ... who’s plate is it ? What’s In it ?

I will give 6 stars for the authentic food experience. The beef ramen was definitely the star. Tender beef shredded with rich broth and ramen just made my day

Very very busy and loud everytime we've gone. Still, I love getting food here as it's always yummy and there is such a plethora of vegan options to choose from.

Quick service, great food, nice atmosphere. Servers are very attentive and quick, food was delicious highly recommend katsu curry and beef donburi for something filling. Chilli squid is always a go to (: Free green tea always goes down nice and you can pay on by scanning a bar code which is helpful so you don't have to wait around.

I had a great experience at Wagamama, a Japanese restaurant, when I visited with my girlfriend, her parents, and two friends. The food was exceptional - I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and prawns, and everyone else had dishes like grilled salmon, duck, ramen, and chicken katsu. We also tried six fresh fruit juices which were delicious. I'd rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. However, I have to deduct a star for service. While most of the staff were friendly and attentive, one of the bartenders was a bit rude to us, which left a slightly sour note. Overall, we had a fantastic meal, and we're definitely planning to come back in the future.

Place is ok. Staff are friendly, food is freshly prepared we had the Grilled Chicken Ramen & Firecracker. Chicken was a bit chewy but other than that the chicken broth was full of flavour, conveniently located and the disable access opposite the markets.

I had Frankie today. She was absolutely amazing and wagamamas is lucky to have her. The service provided was great, warm and welcoming. Could not have been happier. She was fast, efficient and helped everyone around her. I can't wait to hopefully come back in the future.

one of our dishes was meant to be only prawns yet we found chicken within it - thus suggesting there had been cross contamination. when we went to ask the waiter about it, they brushed it off lightly. made a new dish but couldn’t explain how this mistake could happen. this made us very wary about what was going on behind scenes in the kitchen, wouldn’t risk having it again.. even if it was a so called “vegetarian” option.

Can’t ever go wrong with a wagamamas. Firecracker is my fave, do hope for more vegetarian soupy noodle dishes. Staff were very attentive and caring with my friend who has an allergy. 10/10❤️

On a week evening it’s not too busy so you would get seated almost immediately. They are very big on allergies (which I really appreciate) and they were meticulous when taking our orders. There was a good selection of vegan/vegetarian options. In particular, I tried the vegan ribs and it was full of flavour and didn’t have that meat substitute aftertaste. The food portion sizes were huge and good value for money but sadly the drinks weren’t in my opinion. Very tasty but not worth the price. I would also say that there’s an attempt to mix different traditional dishes together and I don’t know if it works. I had the katsu ramen and i couldn’t help feeling like it would’ve been much better if they had served it with rice. Overall, I would visit again and try the corn dogs next time.

This was probably my first lunch here at Wagamama Birmingham where their menus and dishes have improved enormously compared to my last Wagamama dinner in Leeds 3 years ago. I enjoyed my Beef Udon Soup and Crispy prawn Tempura. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I returned to this wagamama branch again today and had chicken ramen broth, tama squid, prawn kushiyaki and green tea.

Fantastic food as always - vegan Pad Thai was lush and just what we needed in the middle of a mom / daughter post-exam girlie shopping day. I have been here multiple times and the food and staff are amazing, however I can't express my gratitude to the staff enough after the experience I had today, I was having a panic attack and just popped in to ask to use the toilet to try and calm down, Jack and the lovely lady with green hair and awesome tattoos (I wish I caught her name) really looked after me, sat me down and got me a complimentary green tea plus a refill. I massively appreciated this gesture of kindness. Great people ❤️

A tasty restaurant where you can enjoy Asian and Japanese inspired dishes to warm you any time of day. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and help make the experience even better. There are other Wagamama's in Birmingham but the Bullring unit is by far the best quality in terms of the location and friendliness of the staff.

Came here tried the Yasai Yaki Soba and it was delicious. It would have been a five star review however, i feel like there should be seating that is less public, like booths for example. Overall good tasting food and a chill vibe.

Delicious food, courteous staff, reasonable prices and good ambience. Was in the waiting queue for 10 mins and the staff came and explained on the menu, waiting time, even offered an umbrella for the light rain. Will definitely return with friends and family. Tip: Only thing to remember is the food comes whenever it is ready, so don't order everything in one go as main course will get cold by the time you finish your starters. Order the starters first and then main course.
