Used to love this place but after lockdown it's has become an absolute pile of garbage. The pricing is extortionate where you are to pay £2 for just 4 wings and chips now and everything else on the menu has seen price increase. If that wasn't bad enough, now they don't give you any sauces. The ketchup used to be free while you have to pay for mayo,but now if you want any sauces your gonna have to pay another 50p. They have lost many customers so the chicken and the chips have just been sitting there for the entire day in the heater oven. So when you eat it, it's just dry, tasteless and frankly disgusting in quality. I used to love coming here but now I will never come again.

Customer service was terrible, the lady that took my order was swearing at customers under her breath. They don’t have bags for pizzas and she didn’t tell me even though she saw my scooter. I asked her how I’m supposed to carry it home and she gave me a paper bag without handles. Walked away and gave me a dirty look. I had to purchase a 30p bag from Sainsbury’s across the street and by the time I got home my pizza was ruined cause it had to be on its side in the bag. Ok food ,terrible service.

Worst experience. The most dirty place i ever seen, and food is only chips .

Sadly food was cold , chips tasted like sat there for hours. I found the staff to be quite rude short and abrupt. No customer service at all I was quiet shocked. No manners anything. Surely when your trained your told about manners? I get it’s cheap food etc but a smile or bit of kindness wouldn’t go a miss. Freezing cold sat in there to eat with being hounding by endless homeless while I tried to eat not a good experience at all I won’t never returning to this branch.

Used to be so much better b4....old chips, HAIR IN MY CHICKEN BATTER. Have to pay for sauces, staff make a face i make at a funeral and toilets never open....

Came in recently, waited 5 minutes to be served as there was nobody on the front till, i went past the pizza toppings fridge and seen two employees , one with a black and orange body warmer with a beard and the other one a short woman with a scarf eating on the side with their bare hands and it was not until i called them when one of them served me without washing their hands and when i made a complaint about it they said the manager is not here and is going to be back in an hour. Aswell as this, after i was served, they both talking and laughing in asian while glimpsing at me which made me feel as if they were talking about me

So I ordered chicken and chips which cost me £4.50. The chicken wasnt great very fatty and the chips had a nasty taste to them. Plus the ketchup which tasted sweet and not very nice, certainly not worth the 50 pence for a small tub so dinner cost me £5 and didnt like any of it.

This is what I got today with Chips. The picture is still trying to cover the tinyness it was that Tiney. Yet the price was Over £7. Felt really disappointed when I got back home and saw it. Big Jhon is just downgrading😔

Great tasting pizza and fair prices. You can also order on the app and get 20% off; but beware, the prices are raised on the online menu, do you're not really getting 20% off at all... The shop was being run by just Asians. This is very off-putting for anyone who isn't Asian. I imagine they lose a lot of business because if it, which is a shame. It's very off-putting walking into a just Asian establishment... The staff were miserable and the guy who served me didn't say "you're welcome", after I thanked him for my pizza... There was a woman going around cleaning things, which was great to see. There were however big rips in the seating and that's not acceptable... I'd recommend this shop employs a range of people from different ethnicities, to reflect the multicultural city that Birmingham is. The staff also need to learn good customer service skills... I'd go again, but only due to the fair prices of the food.

I used to love this branch and was a regular customer however recently for the past few times I have been there, I was given old chips that tasted funny. The chicken they gave me also tastes like rubber and was old. They charge so much money and the food is disgusting and not edible. I do not recommend, and I will not be returning to this branch.

Went in to try Bigjohns for the first time and was faced with a rude staff behind the counter. The food was made carelessly. They just threw things together for the burger, same with doner. It was messy. And the chips were soggy. The only thing good were the dips, probably because it’s not theirs and you have to pay 50p for that too. What a mess Bigjohns. 🙂 Never going in again. Not worth the exorbitant price.

Terrible food, rubber fillet in fish buger. Dehydrated old chips and no mayo or sauce available at time of ordering you must buy tiny tubs at 50p each. Only one bottle/shaker of salt and vinegar for the whole front store, even that was tied down to counter at far end of shop, so I made multiple trips to the station as i purchased 5 meals. Food came out luke warm. Whilst eating, a big guy came in begging table from table harrassing customers, management just stood and watched on. No attempt made to even ask leave. Wont ever waste my time and moneygoing here again!

Disgusting food ,cheps looked like they had bites in them ,wrap had no flavor and they ask you 50p for a ketchup.Worst fast food I ever had

This used to be an amazing place to go of a night, really busy with a varied and lively clientele, some of whom were actually buying and eating food. This time it was very quiet and I got the feeling that the chicken I was eating had already had an illustrious career in the egg laying industry before being boiled and then fried in breadcrumbs. Omg. and I had to pay 50p for mayo... in Big John's!!.. seriously.

I went with family on sunday as i am very old customer of Big johns but i am very disappointed this time, very poor and rude customer service. My kid got hair in chips. When i complain to manager he said this is your hair not ours. I spent 55 pounds last time. Never come again. Its total waste of time and money. Worst brach in uk. I am giving advice to all families never go there with family and kids because this place is totally waste of time and money.

Disgusting. Chips were undercooked and bland mixed with bits of hard overcooked chips. Pity I had to give them a star.

Absolutely disgraceful came in with my children, my youngest was dying for the toilet, the man seen my child crying for the toilet and told me to go to bullring. You know what is disgraceful to see that most of the staff are Muslim and my children are Muslim and you denied a young Muslim child the opportunity to use the toilet and relieve himself. All due to your arrogance absolutely appalling No child or pregnant lady should be denied the right to use the toilet in any establishment. The way you have no humility or humanity for younger children under the age of 10 is absolutely absurd. My child was seriously upset and the harm you caused him emotionally I hope that you seek forgiveness whoever turned him away. Absolutely ridiculous you have a toilet for customers we were ordering food as well you denying my child made me go to the baguette store next door and left my child to wee in an open space because he could not hold it there let alone go to the bullring.

Terrible Service and Rude Staff, clearly said I wanted a burger meal but nooo they give me a burger on its own and had to pay extra for the chips. Staff need to fix up after the guy gave me the chips with a rude attitude he's lucky I didn't throw the chips back at him 🙄😤

This is the worst experience ever in the history my life. I was on the toilet for a good hour. The chicken was drier than the sahara deserts. The chips had no flavour. The staff showed no enthusiasm. Overall I would not recommend this anyone.

Big portion especially for the fish and chips. Quality was alright. I would recommend getting the garlic mayo dip!

I ordered online at 6.10 for a collection at 6.40 because I was in a hurry because I had a bus to catch. I arrived at 6.45 the order was not ready. I waited again 10 minutesbefore I got my order and no apology from them. The staff was chatting quietly and didn't care. There's no point in ordering in advance

The food was the worst I’ve had. I offered masala fish through Uber ways and what I got was slop. One big mushy mess. It was disgusting. Good also arrived Luke warm. Will never order from here again.

When I go into a decent size eating place with plenty of seating. I don't want to use plastic knife and fork to eat my meal. Even though, there's plenty of bench seating here. Theres posts in the way. So my group of 5 people cramed onto a table for 4. The food food was good, but drink sizes were tiny. Reasonably priced meal though.

Never again must be one of the worst meals we've had, chips tasted like cooked in the same oil as the fish, pizza no better that asda one . Burger no what I ordered, girl who served us not very good English. So never again

Good cheap food... 3 star isn't for any particular reason other than it is what it is, it's cheap, quick and tasty... You know what your getting.... It isn't quality food by any stretch but always tastes good... Better chippys in the near vicinity but big johns is always good for a cheap lunch.

Been to big john's and didn't like the food there items were not prepped the wait was long service was long and staff were rude and just trying to get rid of customers. Very disappointed as I come far away just to try food. These staff have to be properly retrained in management of food items and also how to talk to customers. Probably head office should walk in as mystery shoppers and see there performance, what they do to customers. Staff just wanna get rid of customers and they are lazy you can tell by faces they don't like serving customers. Won't be coming back again.

This is a great eatery! It's nice, very clean and tidy (thanks to their sanitary operative, Raynata) and also very spacious. I've got a Big John's just a couple of meters away from my residence but I jump on the bus to town to treat myself to some great fast food. I particularly like their grilled spicy peri peri chicken (my favourite 😋). Do check it out whenever you're around town and need to relax and enjoy great fast food.

Place is very busy and always looks like it needs tidying up. Decent amount of seating. Like most food places, somethings are better than others. The 9' pizza at £5.99 was good value for money and decent in taste. Seating is hard to get due to how busy it is. Location is quite good.
