We ate at Syriana for Iftar yesterday and absolutely were impressed with quality, food and service. The food was amazing, delicious and a generous quantity. Ahmed our waiter was attentive, kind and generous. Absolutely recommend the restaurant and will be returning soon for Iftar! Thank you

Food is very delicious, you should try it if you visit Birmingham, price is reasonable and they have various Arabic dishes. The atmosphere is quite and nice. Staff especially (Sarah) are very friendly and smiley. The food was very authentic and delicious. They also served us tea after we finished, and it was on the house. Really recommend it 👍🏼.

Service was great here, were fasting and they provided us with dates. It was a quick service, the South African guy that served us was very welcoming. Food was great too, highly recommend the vermicelli rice and Lentil soup!

Nice restaurant and pleasant staff. Location in the city centre is not ideal but we managed as it was a quiet evening. Starters are nice and fresh from the set menu. Mains were good food, but nothing that was special outer made it stand out. Sides salad was very mediocre and evident they were produce of the local supermarket bistro salads. Only have a 3 star rating as we were initially served with a chipped glass. When this was highlighted and asked for second drinks and plain water, we then got shards of glass in an empty glass. Very very fortunately we spotted this and alerted the waiter. If my wife had poured herself water, God knows how the evening would have ended up. The waiter apologized and said he would give the manager feedback. At the end of the evening we had the bill and the waiter asked us if we wanted to give additional payment. I don't really know what for considering the lucky escape we just had.... Summary, food is ok, nothing special. Won't be returning anytime, but if you have never had Lebanese starters, worth a try. Photos look great, but food was part for the course.

We really enjoyed having dinner at Syriana restaurant. There was a C shape sofa, at the end of the restaurant, we really like it, that we had our privacy. The food was supper good, except that a few starters were a little cold (dolma). Sarah was a friendly person, who smiled and she was always there.

First thing first, we have been waiting more then 40 minutes before we had our starters. And there were literally only 4 people in the restaurant. Besides that, the starters (lentil soup and kibbeh) were of very good quality and taste. For the main we had the Bamieh B'Lahem and the mixed grill. The Bamieh B'Lahem was very good cooked and tastefull but unfortunately the mixed grill was dry and not very tastefull.

We ordered 🐔Chicken freekeh 10.95, 🍹Syriana fruit cocktail 3.95 (amazing) 🍗Farroujj meshwi 11.95 (big chicken pieces) 🐐 Shakreeyah 10.95 (nice curdy dish. doesnt feel like curd) 🍆Mahashi 9.95 (veg dish. Stuffed aubergines. Mind blown) Ended with mint tea on the house. Loved it. WIll recommend. Order a pitcher of their fruit juice cuz it's that good.

First time trying freekah - I had it with lamb. Absolutely delicious! Very well seasoned, moist and flavourful. And even better with the accompanying yoghurt and tomato sauce. My husband also enjoyed his Lahem Meshwi. Tender lamb cubes and pillowy rice. Also served with small sides of batata harara and lahmachun - both were tasty. It would be remiss of me to not mention the wonderful service. Unlike the somewhat tired looking exterior, the venue is clean and comfortable. All in all, a great long-standing halal Syrian/Lebanese institution in central Birmingham. We would definitely visit again with friends and family.

I have visited twice over the past few weeks - The staff are always friendly and the food is fresh, vibrant and most importantly tastes amazing. There are loads of vegetarian options and you can take your own drinks in too. The set menu is great value. Love it here, 10/10 every time!

This is the first time having a Syrian cuisine and it was a good experience. We ordered the sheesh tawook and freekah. Freekah was a very heavy dish careful when you order hoping it to look like a grill platter but it's not. It's more of a rice chicken with grains and almonds. Overall it was a good experience with a very welcoming and warm staffs and an amazing ambience. Enjoy eating 😜

Very good food with a lot of different tastes. We got the food pretty fast and the place looks clean and very well put together.

As a Syrian, this is as close to home food as it can get in Birmingham. Been regulars here since moving to Birmingham 3 years ago, the place itself is always clean and staff is very friendly and cheerful and quick to serve. Food is always fresh and tasty, we had the hummus, kibbeh, cheese borak and mixed grill which were all prepared freshly and portion size was good. Couldn’t take a picture of the rest of the food as my party had already had all the delicious food

Really nice! The restaurant is a short walk from city centre. The staff is friendly and kind. Food was great and tasty. The restaurant is quiet. Definitely worth trying it and deserving more exposure! I would recommend it.

We had a lovely dinner at this place. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly, it was like being guests in somebody's home. It's not a problem if you're not familiar with Syrian food, the menu is very accessible. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Be warned, portions are huge.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is so good, 10/10 no doubt. Perfect portion of meat, rice and salad. I got the mixed grill which comes with rice and salad. The flavours were bursting throughout the whole meal. The presentation is also a big plus. The decor of the restaurant, top notch. The best restaurant I have been to so far in Birmingham. The staff who served me, I can’t remember her name, she was so kind and very helpful in explaining the menu. It was my first experience trying Syrian/Lebanese food and it was definitely a good one. Please please please try this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed

Great experience all round. Food was great and the service matched. Felt very authentic. Prices are very good for what you get and considering the location. My only negative would be, and this applies to all Lebanese/Syrian restaurants I have been to, is the portion size. You always feel like you could eat just that little bit more. The mixed grill is a good example, the meat is amazing but could do with just that little bit more. Would definitley visit again though. Visited with friends and they all thought the food was amazing too.

Went there for Ramadan dinner, and told us to order set menu. All starters came on one plate which was a little sloppy and very small portions. The main dish wasn't very pleasing , the shish tawook wasn't fully cooked and the waiter claimed we should have ordered it well done. Overall experience wasn't pleasant at all.

What a great experience we had. The restaurant is a little out of the city center but absolutely worth it. The food we had was exellent quality, fresh and quickly produced. Exactly as we expected. We were served with a smile and the manager (I think) was so lovely and attentive. I'm shocked at the value for money per head! This place would suit everyones budget. Very happy.

Absolutely fantastic food! Managed to get a table with 5 friends late on Friday night. The staff were brilliantly attentive and patient with us (we’d had a few beers by then) and they suggested great dishes for us. The food really was top drawer. We ate like kings, had a couple of drinks and the bill came to just £25 per head. We paid £30 to give a well deserved tip. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you

Nice restaurant and respected staff working here, they provide Arabic plate especially the BQQ. The taste was not original as it should be however I am sure non Arab people will love it. Something was missing to make the food 100% delicious, the lentils soup was amazing though. It is still a good place to try our Arabic traditional food and enjoy your time.
