Staff were lovely, the atmosphere was good but my complaint would be the chef. There are 4 meats on offer you can have a slice of each. I however do not eat turkey or gammon, therefore surely I should be allowed 2 slices each of the meat I do like? Instead I got one small slice each of pork and beef so on that basis I did not feel it was good value for the money.

We have been coming to this place for a long time. Your front house staff is lovely. Food very nice. However your chef attitude is a big disappointment. I was waiting to get my daughter's carvery as already had mine and asked the Chef for a child plate. He said 'Why do you need one', and when I said that it was for my daughter he asked where is my child. Then refused to get me a small plate saying they don't have one. Eventually he gave it to me after I insisted with the words 'You just want to eat cheap'. I was really disappointed with the way he spoke to me. He refused to cut a slice of turkey to 3 customers infront of me saying there is non as it was more than obvious that turkey was available. I suggest your manager to look into the chef attitude and behaviour or you will loose lots of customers. Our waitress Laura (according to the receipt) was lovely.

This Toby Carvery has recently benefited from a refurbishment. Lovely inside and nice and clean. The food is always piping hot and replenished frequently. The service is always good with friendly, attentive staff. We were served today by Fred. Lovely lady and great service!

NO STARS * Please don’t go if you have children, even though their menu and literature states free unlimited vegetables for children, I took my 10 year son as a treat yesterday, he was even asked if he wanted a large king size plate! No mention of child size plates, we were charged £11:95 (Sunday) for his meal, I brought this the attention of the nice waitress and management on the way out! Apparently it is up to the child to ask! there was no customer care or interest in feedback to stop this happening again, please avoid with children, will be writing to head office with my concerns.

Had a carvery, waitress was polite, very efficient no waiting time, seated & drinks order taken straight away. Drinks were on the table within 5 minutes & then we went to the carvery, staff cutting the meats were cheerful & polite, great experience Unfortunately there is one thing to be VERY aware of, you must register your car when you get inside.I have just received a parking fine from Euro Car Parks for £85 for eating here. The staff are great & have got my ticket cancelled without any hassle so that's why they get 5 stars, excellent customer service

Lovely welcome from staff and good table with wheelchair access which was as my emailed request. Food was fresh and there was plenty of choice. Good service from waitresses and also servers behind carvery counter. Very clean and a real pleasure to use the Toby Carvery Hall Green following its refurbishment.

Visited today and was served by Wardale at the carvery deck, pleasant gentleman. And then waited on by Lisa, who was very friendly and attentive. Not forgetting Bea who seated us, she was lovely too! Thanks guys 😁 we will be back soon.

On one of the hottest days of the year, the place was packed as it was £5 carvery night. The staff worked so hard (especially the guys on the carvery) and all were a credit to the company. Food replenished quickly and very tasty. Big shout out to our server Marie.This lady is what customer service is all about.

Would not know - service at the carvery way to slow. Was told 20 minutes for a table, it was more like half hour. When seated the queue was constantly to long watched a guy with a toddler, it took at least 20 minutes for him to get half way along the queue. Perhaps systems need to be in place, where customers are invited to join the queue in order of arrival. Disappointed

Staff really helpful and friendly ( waiting staff and chef). We were a large party booked fairly late on in the day. The online booking system wouldn't let me book a table for 18 so I booked 3 tables of 6 but when we arrived they went out of their way to get us all seated together - a table of 12 + 1 of 6 next to each other in a lovely secluded alcove area( the layout of the restaurant wouldn't really accommodate a table of 18 anyway) We also had people joining us who weren't eating but the staff weren't phased by our haphazard little corner of people coming and going in fact they couldn't have been more helpful. Plus the carvery was delicious

Had a great meal at Toby carvery today, all staff very friendly, made very welcome. Served lunch by Lisa who was friendly and helpful, very attentive. If in this area again we would definitely eat here again 👍

Excellent service but roast beef and roast potatoes fatty, slightly burnt and raw. Desserts good quality and value. Overall cost of meals very good but score slightly low due to fatty beef and burnt potatoes.

Never disappointed when we visit here. Food we had tonight was top notch always. Fred was our waitress. She made sure we had everything we needed and was lovely and chatty. It’s always nice and clean here with a calm atmosphere in the week. Looking forward to visiting again :)

Lovely clean and tidy . The waitress seated us by a window after asking. I asked because most Toby's seem quite dark inside. This was the exception the whole place was bright and welcoming. It was a good atmosphere. After shopping down the road with the wife in Solihull it was a welcome rest stop before travelling home. We both had the carvery and drinks. The food was very tasty and fresh. I had the lamb and the wife the turkey. Overall it was reasonably priced and very enjoyable.

You are always guaranteed a genuine & friendly welcome at Hall Green. The facilities are always exceptionally clean & well looked after. Staff are always ready with advice regarding allergies/dietary requirements & a short but lovely chat with their customers. I witnessed two customers who wanted to move from their original seating & they were respectfully moved to a more suitable place. Food from the menu was exceptionally tasty & the deck was tidy and clean & full of delicious looking & tasty food.

We eat here whenever we fancy a carvery, the problem is its very popular and quite busy, if you're OK with waiting or eating in the pub rather than the restaurant then go for it. There's nothing negative to say, it's just decent food at a reasonable price. When we do stay and eat we enjoy it. It does deserve 5 stars really, it's just we rather to be around less people. ENJOY!!!

The lady serving me was brilliant. Warm, genuine, friendly and kept me informed all of the way, this was particularly helpful as it took a bit for my drink to come (just because the place was VERY busy) but she kept me informed at regular intervals which was great

The roast carvery was excellent. The beef was so tender and tasty. Roasters lovely flavour. Loved the green beans, cabbage, cauliflower and peas. Everything was hot, even the plates. Plenty of crispy yorkshire puds as well. Great friendly staff. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant in Hall Green.

Took the kids to have breakfast with santa which was okay but when it come to the food it wasn't the greatest infact it was quite poor, mg daughter found hair on almost every item she picked, 5 people out of 12 found shells on their eggs which it is what it is. They also lacked sauces considering it was 9am which for some people makes the whole meal over not a great experience will probably try somewhere else next year.

Brought my partner here for his first ever Toby Carvery and it didn't disappoint! Really good prices for good quality food and portions. He had the meats while I went for the salmon (which was absolutely amazing!). The chef cutting the meat was a delight and made for a fantastic visit. The service from Alex was amazing, really polite and super attentive 👍Checked on how we found our food, if we wanted drinks, just an exceptional member of staff. I think he finished at 9, the girl that took over forgot about us - we didn't get a check back and could have just walked out without paying, we had to ask at the bar to pay and even then they weren't sure what we ordered or which bill was ours. She then started to open moan about the other server (alex) we previously had which was extremely unprofessional infront of guests. Pity about that as it let down an otherwise perfect visit, perhaps communication between servers could be improved.

Used to come here when I was a young lad. Came here with the family today and got a very bad experience thanks to the carver. People in them positions if not happy use there power to sprinkle a bit of there negativity upon you and he did. He cut me 3 slithers of meat the smallest I had ever seen the lamb was all fat and he'd done it to the customer before. So I asked to have some gammon as it's my choice of meat and he refused. I tried to explain but he did NOT seem to speak English and was mumbling under his breath. Iv been to many today's harvesters and Sizzlers so I know the score probably better that this guy. Anyway over all bad experience to the carver drinking a cup of tea of a Grinch cup and putting it on the glass above the meat. But I'm guessing the manager loves him for skimping back on the meat. Avoid this Toby carvery due to this negative man. Google have many recommendations within a mile or two. 😊

We went there on a Tuesday night. We had a drink first then decided to have a snack choosing sandwiches. Our server was excellent, we think his name was Oscar. The food was just what we wanted and we enjoyed our drinks. All the staff that we met were a credit to the company. Excellent staff, good food and drinks.

We are regulars at this toby carvery but this evening we visited and there was no table until 40 minutes which was fine so we waited around even though there was tables available for our sized party. After around 20 minutes of standing around (there was no room at the bar)with a wheelchair with us, I went online to book at table and then went to the reception where a lady seated us at a table which was free all along. The manager working tonight (Mondays) left us standing there when one of us asked him about our future table which he just replied with saying it’s ‘unavailable’ and seemed to get annoyed when all we wanted to do at this point was sit down at a table on a very quiet Monday night. Not a very pleasant or professional experience from the manager this time but the rest of the staff were lovely.

Excellent meal. 4 meats to choose from I had beef which was beautifully cooked, melt in the mouth! All vegetables cooked to perfection, no crunchy carrots. Lovely Yorkshire and gravy like mom used to make. 3 adults and 2 children all enjoyed our meals! Also had bonus of £10 birthday voucher, which made cost better.

Nice warm, hearty food. The vegetarian option and gravy were tasty. I'd definitely have it again. We went quite late on a Tuesday evening, but food was still tasty, pudding delicious also. Can use Blue Light Card here also, which saved us money off the bill.

We were served today by Marie, who was brilliant, friendly & bubbly, nothing was too much trouble 😊 food was delicious, we're vegetarian so we had the brie & broccoli bake. The refurbishment is great, was much needed. We will definitely been back! 😊

Able to go in to buy drinks and sit outside, tables spaced far away enough not to be troubled by few smoking. Popular pub. Older well behaved children there with parents and altogether a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were friendly, cheerful, and super attentive as always.

Perfect meal food was hot and well presented staff were lovely and friendly and on the ball .thank you defiantly recommend .

Went there for lunch, ask for an apple juice, they had none, had a carvery which wasn't much at all, the tiny half a very thin slice of turkey and a very thin slice of very tough beef...not impressed. Ask for a chocolate fudge and ice cream...they had no ice cream...had an apple pie and custard in stead....the custard was luke warm...didn't eat it....such a let down for such a nice pub.

It was ok.....nothing special. Had to wait a bit when queueing for carvery, the roast dinner take out meals were getting prioritised. I didn,t realise what was happening until my daughter explained. Anyway with regards to the Carvery, I do like some flavour to my vegetables...these vegggies quite frankly didn.t have a lot of taste , even with the addition of "Toby,s Famous Gravy".

Great service. Although there wasn’t any parsnips for the third time (out of six) the carvery was still decent, and the pleasant waitress got rid of our finished plates pretty much soon as we was ready for them to be taken, and offered to put our boys ice cream back in the freezer as he was still eating which was nice! Usually put off going here as first couple experiences weren’t the best but today made up for it!
