Its a pleasant open area however doesn't has good shops or good restaurants. It could be a lot more attractive and I think its potential is wasted.

Their chicken is very nice... i reckon you don't go at lunch time, if your really hungry. The waiting is very long. You can eat in, or takeout. Washroom 🚻 is available downstairs.

Appeals to people who are looking for mainly fast food outlets. Was quiet when walking through the mall onto Corporation street close to the tram line. Shops not busy and appears to be a cut through by many. Not tried the food shops so cannot comment on quality or prices.

Haven't been into Birmingham for a good while, I won't be going again any time soon, didn't feel at all comfortable. I was frightened by the gangs of youths roaming around.

Lots of shops around, busy during the day, early mornings are quiet less people - after dark though it starts to look like the zombie apocalypse 😬

A small selection of shops and eating places. Though over the years this has become a bit of a neglected area of the town.

It's a small retail/food area within Birmingham City Centre. A small lane consisting of about 15max shops varying from fast food joints to sainsbury express store. Not the most ideal place to eat as its closed hidden away from the main attractions of town. But still has decent places to eat. Nothing more to say.

I haven't been into Birm9ngjam City Centre since pre-Covid. I was so surprised by the number of shops closed down and the premises standing empty. Such a shame

I love discovering fresh and delicious food places.I found this hidden gem .absolutely amazing and mouth watering food. They bake proper Italian style pizza and Turkish style kebab as well. We order Kofta kebab .will try pizza next time.Location is great next to the metro station not too far from bus station and High street. If you looking for Halal food and meat lover this place will not disappoint you. They cook their kebab on real charcoal ,when you enter in restaurant you can smell of smokie flavour in atmosphere. Recommended to try their food.

It is located in High street. Nearby shops are Argos, Delhi Cafe, Burger King, M&S, Poundland, Mc Donald etc. Bus transport is very well connected to the various parts of the Birmingham. The Bullring market is 700 meters away.

🥷 YUM YUM is in Martineau Place: THEY cook 🐔 PROPERLY PREPARED chicken & it doesn't have the RAW STENCH as can be OBSERVED yourselves IF-EVER purchasing ready to eat cooked chicken meat from ANY major 🇬🇧 SUPERMARKETS ☆ THIS LOCATION is perfect for YOUNGER PEOPLE, particularly COUPLES 💑 Only downside is a steep STAIRCASE CLIMB upto the eating area ☆ BEST MEAL CHOICE is HALF of a CHICKEN 🍗 with 🍟CHIPS; 🥗SALAD 🍅 and 🇯🇲GINGER BEER 《costs about £8》also YOU COULD have a TAKEAWAY OPTION 📦 😷 LOCKDOWN has IMPACTED this ENTIRE AREA 💸

It has a relatively small number of shops BUT you will find some really good things to buy from new to vintage clothes tech products and a new Cash Generator that used to be GIZMOS . There is a very good coffee shop right in the centre of the arcade and a great place to sit down and watch events like The World Cup and other events, unfortunately the screen isn't there the whole time

What can I say this place used to be the place for good Carribbean food, since new management I've been on a few occasions to be really disappointed with the quality and taste of the food, I've been served stale fried dumplings, over seasoned rice to the point that my children cannot eat it and are coughing with such high amounts of spice, mushy and over greasy plantin. The chef really needs to taste the food he's serving to the public it's ashame the standards have gone down so suddenly in such a short time, I can't see the this place lasting too long.

Well what to say? Couple of restaurants located there selling greasy Fried Chicken, Pizza, Caribbean food etc, there is also an independent cafe there which is for the vegans. In my humble opinion, the whole area is very disappointing and underwhelming. It’s prime location in the city centre and yet it’s wasted, their are empty units littered amongst the takeaways too, it’s very typical of Birmingham city centre unfortunately.

I visited because I was looking for a place to eat, in the end we decided to go to Yum Yums as it is a halal eatery although there are a couple of other places there as well. In future I think I will try the other places as Yum Yums is not what it used to be in terms of the taste of the food, and cleanliness was also lacking in my opinion if you are eating in, the tables were not cleaned after customers left. The staff are only visible when they are bringing your orders upstairs. Also the toilets definitely need to be modernised. Try it out for yourself though, this is my view only.

Selection of some great independent food shops serving various foods from around our enormous world all nestled under a arty (yet not so covering) canopy purrrfect for those downpour days like Tuesday! Steps lift and flat exits and a further covered alley leading out to newstreet.

I hate shopping and I hate crowd. It is not a place for me definitely. Children running around and shouting on the top of their lungs it's not my cup of tea either so I did not like the place. If you can deal with it you can go but for your own risk. I do not recommend it under any circumstances unless you are dying or you need urgent medical assistance - they have a phone there and you can call an ambulance. Otherwise avoid!

Really enjoyed the meal here. Food was delicious & I found the staff friendly & helpful. However I will sit inside next time as when I ate here there were birds everywhere.

Not a bad area. Afew different well placed restaurants all casual and date and student places. Clean and safe environment, slot of positive talk about the different types of food bailable here. So recommended.

This area have been around for many years, I believe for a few shops the pandemic put an end to there dreams closing down. But just lately there are a new shops are sprouting out. It's a lovely shaded area in the sunnier times and shelter for the more wintery climate. There 3 ways to get In to the Martineau. The number of shops that sell good food can cater for all taests.

La Vera restaurant served excellent bbq chicken with chips and salad as well as lentil soup starter for Iftar. Unfortunately there was no Turkish chai or khave (Turkish coffee) to round off a very good meal. Very friendly and supportive staff who promised they will get the equipment to make the authentic chai - look forward to it.

Ideally located walking distance from the Tram, local bus and taxi services. There are some good cafes and restaurants. And the area is very clean. Sainsbury's is no more (Aug 2022) though M&S is very close by.
