Great place to watch live sports. Live screen everywhere, amazing atmosphere, great selection on beers. We were served by Lawrence. He was great, very polite and friendly. 5 star for beers, atmosphere and Lawrence.

Great atmosphere, good music and affordable prices. The staff were so welcoming especially Inayah who was so friendly and looked after us all night. Will definitely be visiting again.

Went to watch the rugby and there's about 234,765 screens, so had no worries catching the action. Quite a few blokes on the beer which in turn meant a pile of vomit in one of the sinks, not the best smelling thing ever, but it looked like he'd had a good time also. Wouldn't recommend the carrots, they obviously repeated on him.

Had a great night out in walkabout last week with some mates. We were given free shots on entry and even a complimentary bottle of fizz! Great vibes lovely staff and banging prices. Chloe and will were very attentive and made sure we got the best deals 241 on cocktail pitchers!

Boxing Day , no lemonade just bottles of sprite as a mixer ( obviously overpriced) bonus was the exellent Dj who kept us in despite the drinks issues , single gin & bottle sprite plus half lager / black £9.50

Visited with wife and friends last night to watch the football, we were shocked by very poor attitude of bar staff, particularly the guy with dreadlocks was rude for absolutely no reason, ruined the good vibe on our group. Big team of staff hanging out behind the bar, had to call someone over to serve me a drink and they looked put out by it!

It was fine for a Sunday afternoon. Service was quick, even though they got our order wrong. We repeatedly asked for the one offer and ended up with the other. But it wasn't the end of the world. Would visit again.

Had a good time there watching Saturday football, as we were at Villa Park Friday night. (2-1 against Leeds) Had some beers and a 3 corse lunsj. Rather good, and nice and spicy. Thanks for a great afternoon with some 30 Norway Lions. 🇳🇴 🙂💜💙💜

Great location, nice spot to watch some footy. Plenty of space, good service. Food was good, not amazing. Decently priced.

Ruined a night out. Was denied entry by the bouncers because apparently my government issued ID was not acceptable to them. This was not my first time here, I've been allowed entry multiple times in the past with the same ID. Whats frustrating is that they let my friends enter the same night with the same ID. I communicated this to them and all they did was come up with lame excuses. They told me that the bar changed its rules an hour ago. Which I knew was a lie cause my friends entered 10 mins before me. We went on to chat for 10 mins and they continued giving lame excuses such as you look too young(my ID showed that I was over the legal drinking age). I just felt violated and racially attacked. I felt like I was denied entry because of how I looked and cause I was entering alone. I am never coming to this place again.

I am delighted to share my experience at Walkabout Birmingham, Neel, a bartender who went above and beyond to make our evening an unforgettable one. From the moment we arrived, Neel's warm and welcoming demeanour made us feel right at home. Neel's communication skills were exceptional - he actively engaged with us and attentively listened to our requests. He expertly recommended cocktails based on our preferences, and each drink was expertly crafted with care and precision. Neel's passion for mixology was evident in every sip, and we thoroughly enjoyed trying his unique creations. Beyond his skills as a bartender, Neel treated us with the utmost care and attention. He was personable, friendly, and took the time to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. He even went out of his way to check in with us throughout the evening, ensuring that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

What a fantastic experience. We came in for the rugby. The atmosphere was brilliant, with a DJ before the match. The service was quick and food very quick and tasty. Clearly the best place to watch sport in Birmingham. We will be going again for sure

This was a top bar to go drinking at, with a throwback design including the pictures displayed! The bar is well-presented, the staff were friendly and I kickstarted my visit with a Gold Tequila shot. Me and my friend then both had Old Mout Cider on a solid 2 for £6 deal, sitting comfortably at a clean table!

Had a great time, despite being awful at pool but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the laughter that accompanied it. JOE (Pug) was so much fun, made the day memorable!

Ok .. we didn't actually go to the walkabout we went downstairs to feltons for a beer and a game of pool. Felt a bit strange knowing that this place was previously surfers Paradise club part of the walkabout. Now it is well lit and has 6 pool tables with a Canalside view which I add you never got to see before. Great venue to go and socialise in and if you want to listen to some music and be more part of a bar environment just woke up the internal staircase to the walkabout. I have always considered the walkabout to be one of the better venues in broad Street and this has not changed. Saying that I have not been to Coyote ugly yet 😂

Good for watching sports or coming here with a group of mates as the food and drinks are cheap. They had burger and a pint for £4 which is a bargain. Nice smoking area outside on the balcony with great views of canal. The atmosphere in here on a Friday is awesome. Toilets are located upstairs and they have another large room downstairs. There are a few decent drinks always on offer.

Went here to watch the cricket. Great atmosphere in the place. The food is just basic pub food. The drink selection is good but the service is poor. They have a balcony overlooking the canal with a great view of Birmingham.

Cheesy but had a great night. Floor was really sticky! Punters rude not walkabouts fault. DJ was blasting out some old cheesy tunes.. and even gave a shout out for my cousins 21st. Photo booth in the entry was a nice touch!!

I went in with friends to watch the football and have some food at 17:00 in the afternoon at which point they had a DJ blasting bass boosted pop at painful volumes for about 6 people who seemed to care. 45 minutes for fairly cold food to arrive and couldn't enjoy the game due to the strobe lights and being unable to hear a word or even speak to my friends. Left at half time. Horrible experience.

Came in for a Saturday night. Not been in for years. What a night. Friendly doorstaff, the staff were great, friendly and quick at serving us. Reasonable prices and the music and atmosphere was fantastic! I would 100% recommend a visit

Walkabout Birmingham: Came to watch the Euros (Czech Republic vs Denmark). A bright, clean pub/sports bar with plenty of TVs. Social distancing made easy and attentive staff made sure we were never short of a drink. Particular thanks to Marsi, Adam, Luke and Lidia. A great afternoon of football. Many thanks guys. We’ll be back!

Love going here to watch the footy. Place is spacious amd features a balcony which overlooks the canal. The food is surprisingly good the burgers and wings are anyway. Always super busy on weekends.

We went in to watch the second Lions Test having booked a table online. However, on arrival their booking system had contrived to erase our booking so our table was not ready. The situation was saved by cool thinking staff member Phoebe. She apologised, gave us a drinks discount and took our orders. The situation was not helped by the door staff who refused to believe my friend (who had made the booking) was legitimate in spite of showing him the booking confirmation. Well done Phoebe!

Was in Birmingham for a gig and all restaurants in the basin area were absolutely rammed. We walked a short distance and found walkabout which was not busy. Food arrived quickly and was really nice. Polite service and really good value. Walkabout will be our first stop next time in town.

I feel outrageous and disrespected. I visited tonight with a group of my friends and my girlfriend was unwell. I took her to the toilet to look after her and as I was using the toilet myself, security opened the door and came inside. I asked them politely twice to leave as I was busy using the toilet but they would not. They violated my privacy while I was using the toilet and when I tried to speak to them calmly afterwards to ask what the interruption was for, they refused to respond in a calm and responsible way and instead ignored and pushed me. The security on the door agreed with my points and said he would have done the same thing. Walkabout security should review their policies and respect the privacy of others.

I wouldn't usually consider hitting a bar like this, however on a busy Bank Holiday weekend in May I absolutely did so, and smashed in several very decent beers. The weather was top so I lightly fried my pastey white skin in the UV rays on the upstairs balcony area. The view over the canal watching the canal grafters graft and people pass by was top! Inside, the footy was on and the vibrations were cool: just the absolute right side of rowdiness for an afternoon drink. Next time I visit Birmingham I'll be back in here smashing a few more ales in.

Very spacious place even when busy. 2 smoking areas and a decent food selection. Food is of a high quality. Honestly makes me crave the Mac and cheese chips everyday 🤤. Staff are amazing and they look after their customers really well. Every time I’m in the venue I feel safe compared to the other places on broad street. Would highly recommend.

I went there on a night out with some friends and we went to the bar and someone called Nathan was telling us about deals on shots and stuff and he was so nice. Would recommend. Very spacious and staff look after customers so well even when its busy, and the food is so good.

The Walkabout Birmingham is fun place and sure knows how to throw a party. During the Commonwealth Games it truely rained Green and Gold for our Aussie athletes and their families! Great atmosphere and a perfect deck for afternoon drinks on the Canal! Staff are outstanding and always happy to help!

If you want to watch a game there’s not much better place than a walkabout but the food was a massive let down. I’m guessing they had run out of burgers and gone to bookers because this burger was nothing like the ones I have eaten before. To put it simply it was dry (hot held to death) and each patty was only just thicker than the slice of bacon. Come on guys you shouldn’t cheep out I have had better rustlers burgers that were microwaved to death.

Extremely poor management and customer service. Was sat at table 2, which was reserved for 1900 and we arrive at 1600, to be rudely escorted from the premises at 1720 because the table was supposedly reserved, yet NOBODY sat at the table. We even had food and two rounds of drinks with no issues. Management require a lesson in people skills! Bouncers were spot on and only doing their job.

Had a good night here impromptu visit, music varies between decades, security team helpful and pleasant. Bar staff provide good service and lots of room to dance

Best Walkabout I’ve been in. Breakfast was tip top. Egg on top of the toast was actually an awesome idea. Music was chill and so was my pint of Brewdog punk IPA. Highly recommend this site.
