Yummy Oriental produce including many items that are unavailable in "the big four" supermarkets. The kids also love seeing the "fresh" crabs and lobsters moving around in their tanks; crustaceans which are also for sale to boil/cook and eat.

Lots of free parking and a large range of products from many different Asian nations at a very reasonable price. They sell individual products to the front of the store and bulk, wholesale items in the back.

Great store with great selections of asian goods. Prices are a little above average. I am a regular customer, and not once have i left the store feeling appreciated. The staff is always rude, and it does make me wonder why i come back. I guess it’s because it’s the only supermarket in the area with such products. (If someone knows any other place with similar products in the area, please let me know!) Also, bring your own bags. They used to not have bags for customers, but now they sell them. For 50p each! Crazy prices.. my plastic bag even ripped the second i left the store! I would not suggest coming here unless you’re desperate for a product :P like i do

Tha absolute best Chinese Supermarket chain in this country. They have everything you could possibly need for Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, Cantonese, Filipino and Malaysian food from what I could tell. The only thing I couldn't find was 宜宾芽菜 and 香辣酱 but there were plenty of alternatives. The absolute best place to get anything you need for recipes from chiaonea mentioned above as well as any steamers, bowls, chopsticks etc.

Awful service from a supervisor called Joe Joe was very rude, without any professionalism, impatient with customer's enquire. He talked to me very harshly and he was rude to his follow co-workers as well. He gives people's very bad shopping experience, he needs to have some training to improve his customer service skills and communication skills. Otherwise, he will continue to ruin the reputation of Wing Yap Birmingham superstore. Many cashiers are serving without any greeting to customers or just showing miserable faces. Varied selection was not available, and certain products only have a few brands available, limited choices for customers.

Love it here, there's not just full of Chinese products, there's also Malaysian, Indian, Japanese and Korean food too! Such a wonderful place. Don't forget to bring your own bags! Parking area is huge too.

I am a regular customer of your shop but today got very bad experience from one of your floor male staff with one red eye( May be something happens with his eye) very rude. He should learn how to behave with customers. Thank you and please take care of your lovely Wing Yip.

What a mess who ever is managing the store needs to learn to manage or get replaced. Everything gets moved constantly and it changes every time i visit. Trolleys with supplies also get left around when the staff are not even using it blocking people's way. It's really a shame when wing yip use to run efficiently.

Huge place and very spacious and clean they have another section were you can buy big bulks of items and big storage rooms with different foods veg meat ect they have every think that you would need to buy in one place that great every think all laid out nice and have numbers on to fine items in the right sections staff very welcoming and polite large car park

We haven't used Wing Yip too much but they have much more stuff than you will find in the international isle of your supermarket and cheaper Great selection, all those hard to find goodies you need to cook your own meals plus more Not worth visiting if you only want a pack of noodles but well worth a visit if you need more

Has a huge car park with disabled spaces and a small business area. Inside the superstore it is quite big with different oriental foods that you will not usually find in regular supermarkets. You will need to know how to cook these kinds of foods to be able to buy them as they are usually used in Asian cuisine. Overall it is a good superstore with alright prices.

Dim sum. We entered Wing Yip determined not to purchase too much. Huh! Fat chance (I'll let that pun slide by). Well, we enjoyed a great selection of dim sum when we got home and now the freezer is bulging with the rest of them. I think that these prepared frozen treats have improved in quality and Wing Yip has an irresistible selection. In addition they have pretty much everything foodish that you need, and plenty you didn't know you needed. It's fun to visit and peruse such a variety of unusual ingredients. The parking is easy. The staff are friendly and helpful and this vast store is well equipped and laid out.

Great for ingredients, meat, poultry etc, which they have in abundance. The only thing that lets the place down for potential return visits, is the staff (albeit, not all of them) miserable, unhelpful, when approaching the till, only to be looked as as if you're an inconvenience. Maybe a better experience next time, if not, I will purchase my ingredients online.

The reason is that you can't return it 30 minutes after the sale. UK law does not allow you to resell other people's used chicken. It is a hygienic hazard . Also, you charged 10 KG and the weight here is not enough. This is consumer fraud.

First time visiting here bought some snacks they were super good, they also had some flavours you could taste for free with cumbers or carrots

Well stocked with most of your Asian essentials. Been going there for years. Only odd thing are the cashiers and the random extra person at each till. Really confused about their purpose because they don't do anything.

Really poorly stocked. Place is clean, staff are nice. When I go to the other wing yip in London, we easily end up spending lots of £££s. But this one was so poorly stocked, we only bought a few things. Will not be returning unfortunately. OK place to come for basic essentials.

A traditional Oriental Supermarket that also sells in bulk for restaurants, takeaways & smaller shops. It has a great, array & choice of food & ingredients. If you like cooking Chinese & Asian food, then it's well worth a visit.

Always interesting to visit Wing Yip. So many different Asian food items to choose. Fantastic range of sauces and Chinese buns. All new fridges installed since last visit with great gange of frozen seafood.

They've just finished refurbishing the place. It's a lot brighter but a bit harder to grab stuff from the higher shelves. Staff (apart from some of the older ones) are rude and have been for a few years now. The female toilets only had 1 working cubicle and more recently they've decided to switch the male and female toilets around confusing all of the customers. Men are going into the female toilet to pee in the urinals (urinals are still in there and the doors are wide open so men automatically go into what used to be the men's toilets). Females are going into what used to be the female toilets (now gents) and screaming on the sight of men in there. Complete shambles!

Is there a ban on taking photos in the shop? No signs indicating this ban. However today one staff member shouted at me in the wholesale warehouse saying I couldn't take any photos. Seems lots of other customers are taking photos of their trolleys and the products, posting photos with their reviews, and this would seem to be a good thing to get free publicity, especially when your website doesn't work. If there is such a ban, put up signs. If not, retrain your staff, as this staff member was very rude shouting.

Good selection of different foods. Visit here every couple of months or so. Prices are reasonable. Selection of Dim sum is not as good now. Cashie staff member however was abrupt, did not say hello or thank you.

Brilliant selection of items, mainly focused on food selling as the alcohol selections where quite small the shop is currently under renovation so we will have to go when the renovations have been completed as from speaking to family who go regularly there is much more on offer after the renovations

Excellent wide selection of items at affordable prices. Everything from fresh to frozen and even fresh fish and Desserts. Try the cheesecakes - they're delicious and some of them are made in the Arcadian, Chinese Quarter. Very well stocked and clean. Helpful staff make the experience even better. Cashiers leave a bit to be desired in customer service.
