Kabul Darbar Alumrock Road

Restaurant β€’ Afghani restaurant

😠 Visited on the 17-Aug-2022 it was one of the worst food I have ever had in afghan restaurant, I mean look at the meat of Kabuli Pulao it is so dry and it has been boiled so much to the point where there was no taste and and the karahi was so oily that the taste of meat was not there at all. People often mention karahi, good, kebab, restaurant, lamb, service,

Tasty fresh food, the mixed grill is surprisingly good as is the chapli kebab. Haven't had any issues with the food whenever I have visited but giving 4 stars as the place does not appear to be very clean and wait times can be long during busy periods.

On a cold drizzly Monday night. This restaurant was packed with customers. Not a single table was empty. Wow the food tasted amazing. Not many restaurants can be full of customers and the telephones constantly ringing for delivery/takeaway orders on a Monday night. Keep it up πŸ‘πŸΌ

Visited first time this place, was a nice experience, Had Charsi karahi, Kabul karahi, Kabul pulao, chappal kabab. All were good but Kabul lamb karahi was above of all. Nan was really big, enough for whole family of 5.

Best chappal kebabs in Birmingham. No frills restaurant but what you do get is top quality afghan food at a reasonable price l. Restaurant is always busy which highlights its popularity.

This is an average Restaurant we ordered Lamb Saji we wasn't happy with quality it was over cooked and was too hard even we ordered day before and we was on right time, service wasn't bad, i would suggest if order small portion's if u are going first time and if y like than you can order as u want, They increased prices in one go 33% which not looks normal so have eye on it also ...

Food was really good. Staff just need to learn some customer service and greet customers with a smile not straight grumpy face. Mixed grill was good so were the lamb chops. One of the best Kabuli pulao in Birmingham. Lamb Charsi karahi was top notch. Bit slow on serving the rotis/naans.

Food was mediocre, the charsi tikka is quite nice but the food is quite greasy full of oil. the customer service is abysmal, the guy said that he’ll come back to take our order as he doesn’t have time to tell us about the menuπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. The toilets stunk and the waiter forgot half of the order. Really Annoying to waste time and money on rude people.

The tastiest food in UK . I live in London and I literally drive there to have Chapli kebab and lamb chops. Service is also outstanding.

Great choice of traditional dishes on the menu. Have eaten here many times over the past year and tried the various karahis, lamb chops, tikka and my fave chaplis kebabs. However, I ate here on 21/10/23 and sadly, they have changed the chapli kebab recipe not for the better. Kebabs was too thick and not the normal fall apart texture. Probably bulking out with more chana flour and ingredients but incredibly disappointing and as such I won't be returning anytime soon. The chops was amazing though. The establishment could do with a upgrade, especially the toilet area, which I only ever use to wash my hands.

Ordered the afghani chicken karahi, the lamb karahi and Chapli kebab. Took a while to arrive. Chapli kebab was ok. Chicken karahi was good. Not too much tomato like some places. Great flavour. The taste of the lamb meat itself was very very strong. Had too much of a gamey taste.

Superb Food πŸ₯˜ especially Karahi Bit oily but it was tasty though. Not recommended their Mix Grill as some of stuff they use I know it’s more than one day before they marinated. Grill stuff was not fresh and dried you can’t even smell for fresher stuff

Food use to be really good, but my last few visits the quality has gone down. They have definitely changed the chapal kebab recipe. Big piece of ginger in the kebab and too much chana flour.

Food quality is generally good. no complaints. Service on the otherhand needs improvement they're that busy that service generally degrades due to being ignored. They had hygiene issues a while back but with the expansion of the shop may have been resolved, ain't seen the latest hygiene rating.

The food was delicious and the service was good but needed some improvement . I've ordered Kabli pilau( rice and meat in afghani way) I recommend it.

I went to buy Afghani lamb karahi and special chapli kebab to take away for my son. I was the only female in the restaurant but was treated politely, helpfully and respectfully. Thank you.
