Disappointed is an understatement. I used to go here about 10-15 years ago and I’m sure a few years ago, they closed for refurbishment but its basically the same but worse. It stinks and you only get an hour to swim but prices have increased. Its a rip off. They don’t put waves on when they should be doing so. Staff give off a cold, unfriendly vibe. Also, there’s way too much chlorine in the water. I feel ill after I’ve visited. Its a shame that people will settle and still give their money to this establishment. There’s definitely better pools out there

It’s great to be able to book a splash session with my toddler and know that we don’t have to queue. It’s a 15 mile drive for us to visit, but it’s worth the effort. My daughter loves the water slide and the character floats. The changing rooms are unisex, which really suits families with children. Sometimes 2 pairs of hands are needed with toddlers 😂. Highly recommended

Absolutely thrilled with the customer service at this place ! I have an autistic child who loves water play, but gets really overwhelmed with noise and by people. I told Nick this and he very quickly accommodated, allowed us to use the changing room away from the noise- it made our experience so much joy able! Since, we have been going regularly with the children - thank you Nick for listening and making things possible! He definitely is someone that has clear passion for what he does

The gym facilities are good but unfortunately I had to cancel my membership as the pool is not fit for purpose. It’s a childrens pool. Adults can only swim short widths at the end of the pool and adult swimming times are mostly during the work day. If you don’t go in adult swimming times it’s impossible to swim because there’s loads of children even in the small deep bit and the wave pool comes on!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! At all costs. Me and a friend joined the leisure center a few months ago and recently we wanted to cancel. This is where I became aware of the scam that this leisure center has tried to pull. I was told in order to cancel my membership I'd have to speak to a third party company and I was given their number. After calling this number I was informed that the standard membership is a contract for 12 months even though there was no previous mention of this, and now in order to cancel I would need to pay the remainder of the 12 months. Of course I was beyond annoyed at this point due to the multiple hoops I was being made to jump through in order to do something as simple as cancelling a gym membership. After disputing this I was told to call another number and when I did so there was no answer and I was told to leave a voicemail which I did, I never got a call back and in the meantime another payment was deducted from my account for the membership. I cancelled the direct debit from my bank and a few weeks later I received a letter stating that I was liable to pay a fine of £60, no reason was given and on top of this, late fees were added even though I tried multiple times to get in contact with them to dispute this and I never received any reply. It's a scam to get money from you, the letter stated that they would be taking legal action if this isn't paid. Honestly the whole experience was a disaster and this leisure center is a shambles, everytime I try and call nobody answers. It shouldn't be this hard to cancel a membership and all these hidden fees and contracts should be explained clearly. Run as far away as you can from this company and don't bother getting into a contract with them. Avoid at all costs.

Went this weekend with our three young kids. The pool and surrounding area stank of urine. The floors were not clean and the place had a very tired feel to it. The kids loved the slide but the queue always took about 15 minutes (could have been much quicker if there was a light system rather than relying on staff who were slow to allow the next person up the stairs) - a long time when the sessions are only 1 hour. Felt like a rip off and will be checking out Northfield leisure centre next time.

First time going here for the splash session. Beautiful swimming pool and fantastic for kids who can't swim (almost like walking into the sea with gradual slope). Kids said it was lovely and warm. As for me I was sweating buckets on the side line! Very well staffed with very friendly lifeguards. Plenty of floats balls etc for kids to use. Only niggle which I see in many swimming pools is people leaving their stuff in the changing cubicles so lots of people walking around to try to find empty ones (I didn't as I used 2 cubicles with other people's stuff in it) However overall absolutely great place to take kids.

Lovely place, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I was seen in the gym by Sally, who was very knowledgeable, I was given a tailored workout to fit with my medical needs. If you have anxiety about going to the gym, go for it, there's a lovely atmosphere, and excellent air conditioning!

Great place. Lovely friendly team/management. Visited Aqua Aerobics twice now. Both times great fun and again Lovely instructor Could do with some evening aqua fit for those working in the daytime. Maybe a dance/zumba class in the daytime. Monday's would be helpful for me 😀 I need to get back to pre covid health

Nice pool for kids with a very good flume. Albeit somewhat crowded. The wave machine was not working and the changing facilities are cramped and could be cleaner.

Trying to cancel my son membership. I call the office and emailed them, just a rude unprofessional woman on the telephone sadly who states she the manager. My son does not attend, as very poor experience over many weeks and we now go to a professional place which is more monies sadly but you get what you pay for in life. Cheap but poor. Was told the manager would call back never did, still taking monies from my bank account and I am a key worker. My son very happy at his new place and the new place stated they should be shamed of themselves and I should put in a complaint I have tried this nothing sadly. Glad we are out of it to be honest. Taking monies for nothing that's there game folks, nice work if you can get it. Should have no star.

Only used the gym today ( first time I had visited the gym here ) Plenty of apparatus to work out on, excellent air conditioning & all the people that were there when I went, made sure they wiped the apparatus down after using it. Changing rooms were very clean & tidy.

Lovely clean swimming pools, need more shower areas as I wanted to have proper shower but the only shower was pool side also changing rooms were abit tight for space as family rooms go very quickly ofn people left their belongings inside so you couldn't use it. Cafe expensive not alot of choice vending machines available. The pool for infants was great but just need more to entertain little ones my 2 Yr old kept running off into main pool. Water slide was fantastic and overall experience was excellent would definitely recommend.

Free parking available outside - good amount of spaces. There is also a small playground near the car park which a seemed to be popular with children using the leisure centre. WiFi is apparently available, but we didn't have any cause to use it. Inside, it felt like there was the right amount of staff on duty, all of those we spoke to were friendly and seemed to be engaged in their jobs. The pool itself was clean and clear. The tiled floor round the outside of the pool was slippy (smooth without any texture to grip on) and appeared to be a bit dirty (not sure if it was actually dirt or not, but that's what it looked like). There's one water slide, there wasn't a particularly long queue to use it when we went and it was popular with the children - some of the children were getting up some good speed. There is a wave machine, but it wasn't in use for the session we went ("splash session"). One of the activities is a set of cones which fill and tip out above the pool; of the five cones, only three were working properly because the other two kept getting stuck on the frame at the side (maintenance opportunity?)

I signed up last week, and I've been swimming twice. The facilities are great 👍 changing areas are clean. Covid-19 rules are well sign posted. The staff are fantastic and friendly. I was struggling today with swimming, and a lifeguard T (Teresa) showed me where I was going wrong, and when I thanked her, she said she was happy help, and it's her job to keep everyone safe. I'd just like to say another huge thank you to T 👍. Im also happy and impressed to see that safety is Cocks Moors No.1 priority. It's also simple to book sessions on the app, exercise made easy and accessible.

RIP OFF 😡 BE CAREFUL … I joined Leisure Centre on monthly rolling contract having freedom of cancelling whenever I want and that’s how they advertised on their website. So, No. 1, if you want to cancel, it’s not straight forward process, you either have to write an email or call another company to terminate your contract. No 2, I told them I want to cancel my membership and they said yes you can but with one month notice. Means I am forced to pay for another month even though I don’t need it. Very disappointed 👎

Lifeguards were awesome. Really friendly to my 2 year old. Pool seemed quite clean, the changing rooms not so much. Even the guy at the counter where we paid was really nice and said to my daughter to have a good time. Will definitely be coming back. Little one had a blast and the toddler pool was just right

We really enjoyed our visit, loads of parking. The changing rooms were ok, bit cramped and could do with more regular floor cleaning but not the worst. The pool is a great size and they manage the number of people well so it doesn't feel crowded. Loads of floats and a good slide.

Coffee from the cafe is pretty awful, and there aren't enough family changing rooms - we ended up having to change in the disabled toilet as all other cubicles were taken. Sadly, the wave pool wasn't working either and the queue for the water slide was quite long - it seemed like there were far too many people in the pool at one time, as you could barely move around. Cleanliness-wise, there was a lot of dirt and grit visible along the pool.

Well equipped gym, with all the gear for weight training. The personal trainer who is available is excellent. She is a sports therapist and can help with rehabilitation after surgeries and injuries. There are lots of other facilities and classes for various exercise regimes. Swimming pool and golf course. The place is clean and well kept. Cafe. Family friendly place. Good parking too. On the 50 bus route.

Standard family swimming, great for smaller kids with the water ranging from ankle depth at the front to 1.5 metres further back. The twisty slide adds bonus points but a lack of booths in a communal changing area and many lockers out of action is a bit of an inconvenience. Staff were excellent! Approachable, friendly and very helpful

  • 5/5 Mike A. 10 months ago on Google
I am incredibly delighted with the exceptional customer service provided at this facility! The children enjoy the water play. Ideal for young children, the standard family swimming area offers varying water depths. People regularly visit this place with their children. The staff members were helpful.

I cannot give this pool more than a 2* because the wave machine and flume were not working and more importantly the changing rooms were very dirty. Outdoor shoes aren’t allowed in the changing rooms but somehow the floor was still covered in mud and muddy water. As a former lifeguard I can’t understand what’s so difficult about getting the hose and squeegee out once in a while and giving the place a rinse down. Hairdryers were also broken and the place is generally extremely tired. On a positive note my 1 year old did have a great time and the receptionist was lovely. However I won’t be returning for fear of catching a fungal infection/verrucas (which is surely inevitable).

It’s a nice leisure centre the pool and slide are nice. I was amazed by the lifeguards with actual aids to help save you if drowning looking very professional they look like they take their job’s seriously which is great. A little hello or a smile would’ve been nice from the lifeguards but we can’t have it all. The shower facilities and changing area not great for the amount of people they have in the pool had to wait in line for the showers then to get a cubicle, besides that nice place.

Hidden costs when you cancel your memberships! So me and my husband cancelled our memberships here as we just wanted to visit the pool over the summer. Cancelled over the phone and was told last payment will be coming out on so and so date and that we have a month left to use the facilities. So we thought ok great went down for a few more swims and then we were told we have to pay £55 fee cus we’ve cancelled and that we are not allowed to use any facilities until we do! There was no mention of this over the phone when we cancelled and I don’t understand what the £55 charge is for. Anyway we left and won’t be coming back next summer. Be careful what you pay for.

You get what you pay for here in the swimming pool. It's really dated, the changing areas are grubby (people don't follow the no outdoor shoes rule in the changing rooms) and the pool is like a primordial soup. There are upsides though. Evening lane swimming is generally quiet in term time, especially the women only session on a Wednesday night. If you're not that confident it's great as the pool is not deep, the deep end is only 1.5m deep. The school holidays are a bit of a nightmare though even for lane swimming. It gets so crowded families encroach in the lanes and won't move. I'm sure the lifeguards are safe, but they are pretty useless at encouraging them into the splash area. The reception staff are friendly and smiley. Having said all that negative stuff we keep going back at £6 a pop and haven't caught anything yet!

I took my daughter this afternoon because she wanted to use the water slide and experience the wave pool after they were closed last time. Both were closed again. The pool area wasn't very clean and there seemed to be a bad smell in there too. A real shame as it used to be a great place to go

  • 1/5 Kirby D. 7 months ago on Google
Arrived at 8.30 on a Sunday morning for a family swim. Staff were friendly, but the changing rooms were already filthy, clumps of hair in the showers, dirty foot prints in the pool area, hair around pool, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. People were walking with outdoor shoes straight from cafe area into the pool area, including staff. Showers were way too hot for the kids to use for more than a few seconds. We usually use Fox Hollies, and hadn't been to cocks moors for a little while - really disappointed.

Welcome to Britain, home of whistle happy pool attendants! The pool is ok to be honest, family swim has floties, and a slide, the wave machine seems to have been retired :-( I go there because it's local & cheap.

  • 4/5 Sylvia W. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice and polite staff. Changing room was very clean and tidy and staff cleaned the floors after each session. It was a not a lot of people in the pool which was very nice. There were lots of different colour floats for people to use. The water looked clean and inviting. Had a lovely session with my daughter and grandson.

This has been a good gym to go to this last year. It's equipment is decent but limited, and with only 1 bench press machine I would highly advise against going at peak times unless queuing is one of your exercises. It's a friendly and welcoming environment that I've enjoyed.

  • 4/5 Vic 1 year ago on Google
I go for swimming. Very clean love the new rules of no outdoors shoes in the changing areas to limit outside dirt getting on the floor were most people will be bare foot. Always feel safe when I go swimming here and that my stuff won't be touched; however, wish there were more places to put your things on the side of the pool other then the floor. The prices are very good for the lane/leisure swimming

Classes are 10/10 with amazing instructors that help encourage you no matter what your fitness levels are. Great facilities all round. Should bring the cafe back and WiFi facilities.

  • 1/5 David B. 2 years ago on Google
Like most leisure centres in Birmingham the opening hours are misleading. If you want to go swimming you need to dig around on the website or call and wait ages before you can ask somebody. I'm sure it's very nice, if you happen to go at a time when the pool is open.

Turned up today to take my toddler son swimming for his very first time as I have been going here for many years myself. It states on the website that you no longer have to book as restrictions have eased so turned up and got told that I should have booked and that they are all full so had to turn back around! The website is very misleading and was not impressed!

  • 1/5 CeeCee G. 2 years ago on Google
Never again!!! Booked a waves&flume session and the flume was closed! The mushrooms were broke the buckets were broke half the showers were broke half the lockers were broke the toilets smelled like a public loo from the early 90s! The hair dryers are USELESS so if its cold out and you have a daughter stay away. There's no cafe anymore!!! Thank god we brought packed lunches or all our bellies would have been rumbling! I am honestly furious!!! We won't be returning!!!

Well run. Swimming classes are enjoyable for children. Decent gym and reasonable sized car park. But their communication is very poor at times which isn't really acceptable. They never reply to emails for example.

Booked a family session today for my sister and I and our three children. What a seamless process; helpful staff and very clean. It made our day when they opened the slide and the lifeguard (named T) went out of her way to help us and our girls. The most fun hour we have had in a while - thanks to T and all other lifeguards for making it a great experience. Smiles all round ☺

Excellent. Not too crowded. Waves and slide really good fun. Made a 3 year old girl very happy and we enjoyed it too.

Decent pool, the building interior outside the pool looks great and has been recently refurbished, however the pool itself could do with a great update
