So much NASCAR history! We enjoyed it better than the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Many autographed items are available at very reasonable prices.

Outstanding museum with great exhibits and videos. Totally worth the trip and the signed memorabilia at the end at the prices is crazy awesome. He really is a King.

I arrived at 3:30, so only had 30 minutes to see the museum (2 barns) and wish I would have had an hour. I wasn't as intrigued with the younger Petty's racing history but the bulk of the museum is dedicated to Richard Petty. The cars left me in awe... I wish they offered the chance to drive one or sit in one. The classic 60's and 70's race cars are amazing to think how much was on the driver and rugged those races must have been. A true legend! Well worth the $12 admission.

The history of the Petty family and Nascar is amazing. There's something for everyone. New to Nascar? You will learn so much about how things started. Old time Nascar fan? You'll have fun reminiscing about how it used to be. Kids will have fun too.

Great place to visit and learn about the history of racing, and specifically the Petty family and their racing legacy. You may even encounter some of the Petty family. On our visit we were able to meet Dale Inman and Richard Petty. Very worthwhile to visit.

Well worth the hour drive from Charlotte to see Richard Petty Museum. The amount of history in these buildings is excellent. Learned so much about Petty family how they got started in racing. Staff is excellent explained everything so well. Will answer just about any question. A kids area is very cute. Petty collection of petty items, watches, trophy is very nice. Small selection of Petty merchandise to buy some signed by Richard Petty.

Don't know much about Richard Petty except he wore a cowboy hat and drove race cars. Husband loves cars so stopped by museum. $11 adult admission. Had fun looking around.

My husband and I have been here twice. Both times we have been able to see and speak with Richard. This time, we were able to see and talk with Dale Inman. What an absolute pleasure it was.

Really a great awesome place if you enjoy Motorsports and also I didn't know Richard Petty had a awesome gun collection Top notch if you enjoy Winchester's and colts must see we stopped on a Thursday evening just expected to tour the museum I had heard rumors that Richard his self was on the premises which sometimes he does during the weekday and lo and behold right before we left he appeared in the main part of the museum was very awesome Can't say I was a real Richard Petty fan all these years but after talking to him just a few minutes I was hooked for life really an awesome dude very genuine even spent about 10 minutes talking to my dad about some older racing He's a real class act I guess that's why they call him the king he truly is the king of NASCAR and definitely the fans highly recommend stopping and viewing and you never know you could run into the king yourself

A great little museum to visit if you're anywhere nearby! They have a lot of race cars that were significant in Petty's career as a driver and team owner along with a collection of trophies and a huge commemorative firearms collection. I even saw the King while I was there (but he was talking with someone and seemed busy, so I thought it would have been rude to interrupt).

Nice museum seeing the Petty history. Definitely worth a trip to see. The ladies working the ticket counter were very knowledgeable on all the questions I asked. Spent 2 hours here with my son.

Actually standing next to history making cars, looking inside and seeing how they are made is so much better than just watching old race clips. The car Petty won his 200th race in was right in front of you. The last car he raced still in the race finish condition(wrecked!!). You can look in the shop where they modify and build street and race cars. We had the chance to meet and talk to Thad Moffitt, an up and coming driver. The staff was super friendly and answered our questions. Big Thank You to Bonnie. This is not a static display of cars, this is a family sharing their heritage. We saw Richard Petty's oldest daughter and at least one grandchild. AND yes we did see Richard Petty.

This place is awesome. There is so much interesting stuff that you could spend all day here. The woman at the front desk was so pleasant and so were all the other folks who work hard to keep this history preserved. The tickets and merchandise were very reasonably priced. I would recommend this place to anyone

A must see for NASCAR fans. This museum if full of history starting from the Garage Lee Petty built his first race car. There are several cars on display as well as a large collection on guns, knives, and pocket watches. You can visit the Petty garage where they build custom cars too.

Highly recommend. Wonderful people greet you as you enter, they explain a few basics and welcome any questions you may have. So much to look at from the Petty family history. Plenty to read, some videos to watch, and more than enough things to look at. Just a wonder place to visit.

Such a great museum to go to. So much history, memorabilia and (of course lol) cars. Everything in the gift shop is extremely well priced and almost everything is signed. There is even a nice kids corner. Before my visit, I had so much respect for the Petty Family- now after my visit I have EVEN MORE respect for them based on how they (and the King especially) treat their fans. Thank you for this great museum and garage!
