đź‘Ťđź‘Ť We had a "less than impressed" experience at another pediatric dentist in the area, which resulted in one of my children having to be held down and crying during the exam, so we decided to give Goebel a try after asking a few friends. We were very, very HAPPY with their visit to Goebel. The dentist... People often mention kids, Katrina, dentist, braces, time, care, Neice, appointment, amazing, experience,

My 4 kids all go here (and have the last 3 years), and we’ve have exceptional service EVERY time! The doctors are very caring, fun and efficient in the way they do check ups, fillings.. you name it! The hygienists are all trained well and do an outstanding job! We LOVE coming here! I can’t recommend them enough!!

This is just amazing. There are some kids my age or younger who don't like going to the dentist because they had a bad experience or have had stuff done on their teeth. Well, good news, neither have happened! Even though I've had nothing done on my teeth I've seen these AMAZING people calm and soothe people during this tough time quite well! I enjoy that these good people are patient and actually acknowledge that someone may not like what is done, so they calm these people down exceptionally. Plus, these good nurses are the BEST I've seen ever excluding one hospital in Fargo. Plus, the head dentist is sing-songy and he is a joy to be around. I just love coming here because these guys are amazing! Fantastic job guys.

My son was recommended to this dentist for the 2nd time August 2023. The 1st time was 2019?? Both times were awesome!! The staff is phenomenal!!!!! My son is special needs and these doctors didn't skip a beat in treating and interacting with him. The 1st visit called for sedation, deep cleaning. Filling and space savers added!! The last visit was a simple extraction, in office with relaxing gas!!!!!!! Hands down, thee best pediatric dentist EVER!!!!! I honestly can't say enough praises about this family!!!!!! Kudos! Kudos! Kudos!

Staff was very friendly. They listened to our concerns even after our pediatrician brushed it off and they fixed our daughter's lip tie that very day! It was an incredible blessing to have a baby immediately that was actually able to eat and be comfortable. We will never forget their amazing kindness.

I always had horrible experiences at dentists as a child. I didn't want that for my son as it became a lifelong fear of dental work. At Goebel, they take such good care of him that he actually ASKS to go to the dentist even after one cavity filling he had done. I will always recommend taking kids here.

We have been sending our kids here for 5 years and the staff and service is amazing. All my kids can get a cleaning at one time and the doctors are so affirming to my kids and sing them songs to make them comfortable. The Goebels are amazing and so generous to their patients!

I'm truly impressed with this dentistry. My 3 year old needed to have a cavity filled and the dental assistant and dentist explained every single step to her and made her feel so comfortable. The whole process took probably less than 20 minutes. After, she got to pick out 5 toys and a balloon. I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else. This place is the best!

We had a "less than impressed" experience at another pediatric dentist in the area, which resulted in one of my children having to be held down and crying during the exam, so we decided to give Goebel a try after asking a few friends. We were very, very HAPPY with their visit to Goebel. The dentist was understanding of my child's past negative experience and took the time to make her comfortable with him and made adjustments. The environment was inviting, the staff was very friendly, and I thought the fees were very reasonable (we do not have insurance). Very pleased!

I took my Neice to Goebels because she’s familiar with the staff, we saw Katrina for her and both appointments were extremely rushed and cold. Katrina didn’t introduce herself to us nor did she even acknowledge my own presence to tell me what work my Neice needed done. For the first appointment I had to have the dental assistants tell me what just happened and what was going to happen at the next appointment. When I inquired about braces at the same first appointment for my Neice the assistant went to get Katrina to speak with us about braces and she appeared visibly annoyed that I called her back to us and when I asked about braces she stated “we’ll discuss this at her next appointment and only if she even brushes her teeth everyday” So queue our second appointment with Katrina. Her assistant did not discuss exactly what was going to be done. I was waiting for either of them to let me know what work was being done and neither of them did so when Katrina came in and immediately started drilling without any introduction or information about the procedure I had to stop them and ask what was being done. We expected an extraction and fillings but at the last appointment I was also made to feel like it could change and we would know what would happen when the appointment came up. Katrina maintained a really cold demeanor with me and when she finished I brought up the subject of braces for my Neice again and she said “yeah I can’t approve a referral until her next cleaning which should be in November but you didn’t schedule a cleaning and I’m not available until march next year” Which is fine but what really bothered me is what happened next. When I discussed with her that because of my Neice’s age we wanted a jumpstart for braces and how long will it be before she does refer us to an orthodontist and she cut me off by speaking over me and stated that she can’t refer braces because it wouldn’t be safe for her because kids like her come through all the time and need extensive work because they don’t take care of their braces on teeth. She implied that we wouldn’t help her take care of her teeth because “I see kids like her all the time that get braces and need more work when they get braces” what does this mean? What did Katrina mean by “kids like her”? Native kids? Kids in foster care? Kids on Medicaid? And why is she being put in a category purely based on “what she’s seen”? Before we could discuss it further Katrina left her assistant to try and explain what she meant. After I called in our complaint about our experience with Katrina we received a letter stating our Neice will no longer be seen in office. I kept these kids in goebels care because they’ve been through a lot and I wanted to keep some kind of familiarity but Katrina absolutely took that from us with her cold demeanor and her remarks about “kids like her”. Frankly the remarks radiated bias. When I checked about care for other native families that frequent Goebels, we were told that when they’ve been paired with Katrina she had the same cold and pre-judgmental demeanor towards other families. I know that I shouldn’t take any of this personally and that Katrina behaves this way because she is going through something in her own life and mind but I think that it’s important when working with these families and kids that her issues should be left at the door and not placed with every family she works with, or even just the families she treats this way. Our experience with Goebel has been negatively impacted due to Katrina’s unprofessional behavior, cold demeanor, lack of communication, and unnecessary remarks. Our experience being validated by other families has solidified our belief that there is a bias of some form, and further solidified once we were told they would not be seeing our Neice anymore.
