The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The waterfall feature helps to dampen noise in all rooms, I got very peaceful rest during our stay, and the beds were very comfortable! This is also one of the only dog-friendly hotels in Rapid City (and the nicer option of those available). Breakfast was also delicious, and bar service was top-notch. We won't be staying anywhere else while in Rapid again.

About to be a very nice hotel. I'm not real happy with the $12.50 they add on to your bill for parking in the $5 drink coupon. I'd rather that does not charge me the $12.50. The room was good the pillows are great in bed was comfortable the shower pressure was good the restaurant people in the bartender very friendly and helpful. The shell guy was great there's a great park across the street. It's a nice

Loved this hotel, had a great stay. Perfect walking distance through the park to downtown. Awesome breakfast that we used vouchers for and got to order anything on the menu for free plus a free kids meal for our toddler. Clean comfortable rooms, nice atmosphere.

We won a "Free One Night Stay" at this hotel. We expected to be placed in a 2-Full/Queen Bed Room, but they instead reserved a "Plaza Suite (King Size Suite with a Pull-Out Couch) Non-Smoking"! The atmosphere inside this hotel is AMAZING! Perhaps it's the "openness" of the hotel, or the cascading waterfalls in between the see-through elevators. The first Suite we were given keys to, the pull-out couch was locked and it didn't have a "mattress". We called Front Desk and we were immediately transferred to a similar Suite, but with an actual pull-out couch. The Suite was VERY clean and modernized. It had a mini-"living room" area, with a mini-"kitchenette" that had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink. The King Size Bed is in its "separate room", inside the Suite. The bathroom is also inside this "separate room". The bed, with its sheets/covers was VERY comfy. There were "Firm" and "Soft" pillows, to accommodate everyone's preferences. This hotel also has a pool and 2 hot tubs, we thoroughly enjoyed. They also provided 2 $5 Off Drink Coupon/Voucher to be used at the Restaurant, called Gold Bison Grill, inside this hotel. Thank you SO much for making us feel like "royalty"! If y'all can afford a room in this hotel, we highly recommend them!

For the price this place is like a motel not a hotel. Bathroom was nasty dirty, mold on the walls, very old carpet throughout. We stay at a holiday inn a few days ago that was amazing and cheaper that is only a few minutes from this one. Wish we would have gone to that one.

We had an amazing stay. I will say when we pulled up we were pretty nervous about what we were getting into when we saw it was under construction and many workers were parked in the parking lot. However, to our surprise it didn't interfere with our stay at all. The front desk gentleman was yawning the whole time and not really saying much, but the other lady was fantastic and interjected some information and was really kind to our daughter. Maybe he was training? The pool area, hot tub, sauna, and fitness area were really nice. The hotel room was clean and had plenty of space in the king/ sofa bed for the three of us. And the breakfast??? amazing! Breakfast coupons were included with our room booking and kids ate free. We ordered from a menu and all had great food. Our server was also great. The glass elevators and open concept really elevated the experience as well.

Rooms were very clean and quiet. Loved the 8-story waterfall in the lobby. Restaurant and bar staff were great and so was the food, plus they are open late. The shuttle service is very flexible and accommodating. Short walk through Memorial Park to shops and restaurants in downtown.

Absolutely filthy room. Beyond what was in the pictures (toe nail clippings, hair and filth on toilet, moldy grime on/in sink, bandaid on the floor next to the hot tub) there was old food under the TV cabinet/dresser and along side the bed. Carpet was dirty and had very thick layer of dust and debris accumulated all along the edges of the room. The comforter was covered in dog hair. I have never been so disgusted by a hotel room. The rest of the hotel was also generally dusty and dirty, especially the floors.

I really enjoyed staying here, the staff was super friendly at check in. I was upgraded and it was a beautiful room. Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was nice and spacious. Water was hot! I’d definitely stay here again.

Didn’t stay overnight as this hotel didn’t have functional A/C that could cool a room down. When I arrived and the room was a damp 68 and after a couple hours was 70 and getting warmer. I also happen to be staying the night IHG was in the middle of a system change which meant the staff wasn’t able to confidently see if people were in occupied rooms. Picked up and left a few hours into my stay, I will give one specific staff member credit as she really wanted me to be comfortable. She was checking multiple rooms for me, it was just so late I needed sleep. The pool and surprising sauna were nice but even the pool area was way too hot to enjoy.

Had an excellent stay here!! Room was clean and comfortable, and everyone at the front desk was very friendly. Steve was especially helpful and super nice every time we interacted with him. He truly made our stay worth repeating. Would highly recommend!

Made reservations on Expedia, gave credit card for incidentals and was charged $15.00 both nights for 2 bottles of water we did not drink. Also the second night we were overcharged for the room. Nice hotel but I don’t like being lied to about the price and then charged for something we didn’t use.

Found this hotel via Google and called the number associated with it. Phone call was routed to someone in India (Neel) where they ask for a credit card number and 3-digit code as well which nobody ever asks for. Also told that once we reserved the room, we cannot cancel. Now we get to the room which reeked of marijuana. The lobby bar area, appeared shortstaffed and the young guy cleaning tables was spraying his cleaner on the tables AND the salt/pepper shakers. Pretty sure nobody wants cleaning spray with their salt? On the positive side, comfortable beds and really comfortable pillows. Showers have good water pressure. Also, the food in the restaurant is quite delicious, I recommend the pasta and salad.

Beds were clean and the bar is good. However the rooms need to be fixed. One of our rooms smelled like sewer. They had to spray the room to keep the odor down. The ceiling was literally falling apart. The carpets are stained. Location is nice. The staff really did not have anything to offer for the bad smells and ceiling falling in. I just expected more with the other reviews.

Overall we had a good stay. It was clean quiet and comfortable. The rooms could use a little updating. The food from room service was good and the restaurant inside the hotel had a good breakfast and the service was good.

The hotel was amazing! The staff was super friendly, the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. Our room was so nice and clean! I would highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn! Thank you very much for everything!

Great experience. Coffee maker had water handy for a cup of tea before bed. Everything in our room was handy for each task. Easy access to charge our phones. Free Breakfast (excellent omelette) with the waitress serving every need. Beautiful surroundings. Superb price.

Very nice hotel - inside and out! Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We did have an issue with the air and the maintenance staff came right away to take care of it. The restaurant on site has some pretty great food.

This review is from my 7 yo's perspective: I really like this hotel because it looks so cool! The pool and hot tubs are good, but the water is cloudy. The fountains and open inside of the hotel are fun! I would like to come back here again! Lots of parking. Convenient location just a half hour from Mt Rushmore!

Honestly not worth the stay. Thought we were getting a good deal at a good hotel. Feel like it was way over priced. Food options, very limited and over priced. From hotel and restaurant. Under staffed and under construction. Possible 1 elevator working for the whole hotel. It is in a convenient area to get around tho. Was hoping for a better stay atleast for my wife I brought for the first time to Rapid. I would look around for different hotels that have better deals and have better complimentary services and options.

Good prices, some discounts possible if you check. Staff was very nice. Close enough to the city. Nice rooms. Stayed 3 days and loved it. Good location to drive out and visit the Geology museum, Custer national park, Mount Rushmore and more. They should work on offering a cheap complimentary type breakfast, nothing fancy.

My experience here was awesome! Chris at the counter was extremely fast and helpful. Quiet room, comfortable bed, fast elevators. The breakfast was amazing and Mr Fajar my server was arguably the best I’ve ever seen. Nice job guys. The hostess at the restaurant was also a complete Delight. I’m not often able to give such a shining review!
