Incredible spot in the middle of the ocean to take in the beautiful clear waters in Jamaica. Be warned that this entire spot is a ripoff but you have to go in mentally prepared for it. From the boat ride costing $25 to each beer costing $5 and vendors hustling you to carve names on a piece of wood, it’s all a glimpse of the tourism gotchas in one single spot. Now that I got that out of the way, the bar does deliver. The views and the vibe is unlike anything else and despite the crazy prices, once you’re there and soak it in, there’s no where else you’d rather be. Highly recommend if you’re doing tours to ys falls, black river safari etc.

Super unique experience. You have to take a boat there which can get expensive but that’s half the fun. Have your boat driver call the restaurant first with your order bc there is no electricity or running water so it takes a long time to cook. Food was great. Drink selection so so but you don’t go here for fancy cocktails. Tons of locals there hanging and helping out. Had an enjoyable time getting to know a few of them. BRING CASH!!!!! MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU’LL NEED!!!

A nice place to spend the day and get lots of sun. The bar is accessible only by boat. These boats charged us $50 US for a round trip. The coming back was not seamless. We had to call our driver to tell him to come back. The food was very tasty but a bit expensive. I paid $2,500 for a small snapper and French fries. Drinks was at the bar. No mixed drinks only limited sodas and small bottled drinks. The four hours we spent was delightful. We took in lots of sun and lounged around.

Nice, cool, relax and chill, excellent vibes, excellent food and friendly people. Time stops here. Forget it all and knock back a few cold beers. Unique. If you are into the salt life this is a bucket list destination.

Very authentic and cozy spot on the sea. This was my first time visiting and the experience was great. A special big up to the man Floyd himself who guided me along the way. He got a boat for me but even if he didn’t, boats a lined up waiting to carry dinners to the hut. The food was delicious, escovitch fish 👌🏼 Visitor have to opportunity to leave their “signature” to show that they were there. Weather it be by carving their names on the wooden structure, leaving their shirt, flag, I even saw a bra lol, etc. A must visit! Oh, and yes, they take cards 💳

Love this place staff was friendly food was tasty but the portions were small. This place does not have a bathroom so if you need a number 2 please do before you get on the boat. If going to pelican bar calling the manager directly is the best option the boat ride is cheaper and the ferry team is very professional.

There is nowhere like this one. A calm boat ride to the bar, where you can drive, eat, have a vybz and swim. A nice place to enjoy yourself. It was a fun experience. Highly recommend. People are really cool and calm.

This experience was one of a kind!!! I enjoyed the boat ride to the Pelican Bar. We had a few beers and watched the sunset. I felt like I could fall asleep just sitting there watching the sun set and listening to the waves. You can actually swim in the water around the restaurant and also find a spot to carve your name on the floor or on a seat.

This spot is beautiful! The food and music vibes however weren’t really. It’s feels like it caught somewhere between being designed for tourists and a local spot. You’ve gotta come if you’re a 20-30min journey

Probably the best experience in Jamaica for us. Unique and fun place about 500m or yards of the shore. Fun bar in the middle of the water, kind of like Waterworld scene.

This place was a very unique experience that I'd definitely do again. The atmosphere was very chill. They had good music, good vibes and great food. We got fried fish which ran us about JMD$2500 each. Drink prices come at a premium they charge like $1500 for mixed drinks I think and about $500 for bottled drinks. The water is shallow enough around the bar that non-swimmers can safely get in.

A MUST GO while in JA!!!!! Not only are the views 🔥 but so is the food, music, and the vibes. The water is waist/chest level, but does get deeper in some parts. The water is clear and warm. If you’re still reading, it’s a bar & restaurant in the middle of the ocean, just so yourself a favor and go!!!! FYI - the boat ride to the bar will cost you anywhere from $5-20 USD CASH per group depending on how well you can negotiate.

What a hoot! It was so much more than I thought it would be. We watched manatees, had a bite to eat and drink. You could hop off and have a swim and bought some souvenirs. The breeze was very pleasant. I loved the many visitor names carved into the structure. The bathroom was a little weird!

You get hackeld a lot from the people offering boat rides there and back. Don’t pay more than 5 USD per person there and back. Still a worthwhile place to see. Nice and unusual

What a great experience! Hire a boat and they will take you to this awesome place built on a reef in the middle of the ocean! Cold beer, good food and lots of nice people hanging around and swimming. There is no restroom so if you're going to drink, bring a bathing suit!

This was a good experience..called And spoke to Floyd (the owner) and he directed us all the way to the bar. He even sent a boat for us which cost us $1000 JMD. The boat man was very pleasant. When we got to the bar in the middle of the sea on a reef. When we got there, there were so much carvings of peoples names and memorabilia for all the persons who had visited there. So much history in one place. The staff, chef, cashier as well as Floyd was very pleasant and provided great customer service. The food in the picture cost $2000 JMD. It was well done. It was a great experience.

I loved this place. Very different. A locals hang out in the middle of the ocean. Fresh catch foods. You order, they catch it then cook it. This is not fast food.

It was truly a great experience going here from the boat ride to being in the bar, it was wonderful. The bar is bigger than I thought it would be; it was not as full too but it accomodated a large number of people. The scenery is spectacular, great for taking pictures. The food too was amazing. This place is a must if you're within the area.

A great experience and bar, a trip well worth doing if your in Jamaica, its so cool along with the story behind the bar. Make sure you take something to leave behind a local flag / football short ect or you can get your name carved into wood that builds the bar

Great experience to visit the bar in the sea. The food is a bit slow, so make sure you order it early. Maybe because we became hungry while waiting, the food tastes really good.

It's a nice vibe. You have to take a boat ride to get there (short trip). It's a bar out in the sea...just enjoy it. Bring your friends and vibes... Enjoy the shallow waters, swim, snorkel,lounge...take pics...👍🏽. It's quite windy so don't bring things playing cards

One of the coolest bars I've seen. It is set in the middle of the water. You have to take a boat to reach the bar. The staff are great, and the food was AWESOME! If you want to get in the water, it's only about 3-4 foot deep and very clear.

Absolutely enjoyed boat ride people grerted us on approaching. I fould it different and exciting. People were pleasant, just relaxing having a great time. I had some good laughs ...the bathroom is pee only cannot poo. There was a group sitting below steps of bathroom just waiting to see the expression on peoples face when they see the pee only room...hilarious. Thew woukd burst into laughter...priceless. I was told by boat guy there was no bathroom. Use the bathroom before :). Something to enjoy...novel. Food is available, bar and drinks. Definitely a must experience...leave something behind

Man, everything is better at Pelicans bar. pretty much a boat has to take you over to the bar. It differs in prices as it depends on where you choose the boat ride but its affordable. Takes about 8 mins to get there [ depending on your location]. now at the bar it was remarkable. you get that true Jamaican vibe. The reef was very beautiful and what better way to enjoy it than with some icy cold red stripe. The depth of the water differs so swimmers and non swimmers will have a ball. If you're a nature lover, you'll see some great marine life and pretty much it's a great experience too. highly recommend :)

The experience is pretty cool to see this bar out in the ocean. We did order food and drinks. Drinks were fair priced. The food while good was extremely overpriced. Beautiful views.

Be prepared for the wait time for meals. Other than that the view is amazing. You get to catch the sunset. Everyone is pleasant and it's overall a great experience. If you've never been you definitely need to go and I'm sure you'll want to go again

Incredible excursion - a must see if in Jamaica. The journey is around 2 hours from Montego Bay. My partner and I did this excursion with the Black River Cruise and Pelican bar for £130pp. It’s an all day trip- starting at 7:30am. Pelican bar is a the last stop of the excursion. You are taken to the bar/restaurant via boat as it’s in the middle of the sea. The boat ride is under 5 minutes. It’s amazing - the food is all seafood and was sensational. There is a small gift shop and bar all reasonably priced. You can also get your name craved on the floor of the bar. You can also swim in the sea near the reef.

Lovely place in Parrottee, St. Elizabeth. I didn't know waters this beautiful and calm existed in St. Elizabeth. A must see if you're in St. Bess! A jettee type setup in the middle of the ocean. You can eat food, drink, swim, dance and purchase crafts and souvenirs. Floyd the owner is very hospitable. $1000 round trip for the boat. A 7-10 minute boat ride. The bathing is lovely. However, the access to the water is busy with boat traffic dropping off and picking up guests. There needs to be a proper stairs to access water from platform. The rope stairs is not easy to climb up out of the water. Food was good. You can get seafood , chicken, fries, festivals, etc

Loved Pelican Bar in the middle of the ocean! It is a cash only so bring lots of it because the drinks and food are delicious! Bring an old license plate to hang if you want! They also carve your name in the wood! It's a great experience, we will be back again!! #onelove

The staff was helpful and friendly. The water around the structure was clean. Good vibes and nice music. The boat ride over from Deans Cafe to the Pelican bar was fairly priced as well. Can't speak to the food quality as I didn't try it, but it did look delicious and very well presented to the other patrons. The craft items on sale are beautiful and well crafted.

Floyd's Pelican Bar is about 20mins from shore in Negril Jamaica. ($20 boat ride) It was built on top of a reef and the water around is about 4ft in depth. There are food and drinks for purchase at the bar. The atmosphere is laid back... good drinks, music and vibes... if you are able to catch the sun going down you are in for something special. I give Floyd's a 5 Star and a definite must do if you make it to Jamaica. **Covid guidelines are being adhered to**

This is not for me, but it is basically a bar in the middle of a bay With good views , need a 5 minute boat trip to get there, all you can do is drink or eat, you cant take your own on, but the place is always crammed, you can have a swim as it is quite shallow, and carve your name into the woodwork which is cool, but the guys on there are smoking the funny stuff and are well oiled with booze.
