I've lived in blackburn all my life and like most people that I know only go in town if necessary. The town is ruined and its upsetting to see what its become. I had to go in town a few days ago (1st time in ages) and Covid restrictions are none existent. Large Groups of Young Asians hanging around everywhere with no masks and no distancing. Security around but don't do anything. Its a real dump of a place. Avoid.

Absolutely hideous experience with so many people choosing not to wear masks and little awareness of social distancing. The Marshalls were trying their best but the selfish and ignorant prevail.

They need to sort there security issues out. Yes good to see they are present but how many times today they pucked on individuals to wear masks, they seem to target younger ones ie teenagers or weaker individuals. I saw many couples or groups of lads who were not challenged. If you wantvthem to wear maskd stick your security on the main entrances, its not rickets science, dontvhave a mask your not coming in.

A perfect hub with all your daily requirements situated near the town centre is the Blackburn Mall. The basement has the eating zone where you have multiple stalls serving various cuisines. You can even get fresh vegetables, breads, cheese, fish, meat , clothing, electronics, key maker, shoe repairing done there. There are even salons, beauty parlours and nail spas. You have shops selling items needed for gifting purposes, decoration and home decor. On the ground floor are all branded clothing, show, medical, jewellery, currency exchange shops and coffee shops. The pound bakery is a good place to pick some quick snacks. There are washrooms in the basement and on the 1st floor near the parking area.

This place is quite depressing. Not a great deal of people and I understand why. Also security walking at a snail's pace through one store talking about nothing and basically just in the way, not good for the Mall and more importantly not very good for the store in question. Basically if you want town centre shopping you'd be better off in Preston or Manchester. No soul to Blackburn at all, it seems it lost itself years ago.

It was okay but it's small with very limited stock. I only wanted some drinks and they had a reasonable selection. All in all I was happy with the shop 😊

Blackburn mall is very good & especially at christmas time when all the christmas lights are on its an amazing place for shopping. Throughout the year we have a nice mall & an inside market with stalls so you can shop in comfort all year. There is everything you need & lots of handmade cards & goods you can give as gifts. A food court in the market where you can try out lots of different foods from very different countries & cultures. You will definitly find something which you can enjoy with your whole family

Blackburn used to have a lovely market full of independent local traders. Now it's half empty, nothing but commercial chains and the entire mall smells of cheap fried food and vape. Overall quite depressing really.

Nice place. Got a bit lost as its built like a rabbit warren. Needs good clear signs up. But I asked a stall holder where something was and he was very kind to help. I'm a Derbyshire girl and we were visiting Blackburn for a family funeral. And we decided to go into town for some lunch and a walk round. Nice friendly place.

With shops closing down, cigarette smokers at every entrance, empty units everywhere and at least half of the Mall customers today not wearing masks - I won't be visiting again anytime soon. At least I won't feel bad shopping online for the foreseeable.

Lovely clean Mall. Easy to access by wheelchair users. Good variety of shops and ideally situated with the bus station and market hall on the doorstep. Through the Mall to the Town Hall and Library and a selection of high street shops and cafes mixed with smaller independent ones. Plenty of choice of cafes and eateries plus very good selection of charity shops for the bargain hunters amongst us. Easy parking if you take the car too.

A reasonable variety of retailers, and food vendors, wide walkways, easy access: the Spindles Market Hall is also easily accessible from the Mall. The Spindles has a variety of cafés, and stalls for small / local traders. Well worth a visit.

There's nothing in here that you won't see in just about every other shopping centre in the UK. Boots, Wilkos, JD Sports, etc but not really anything different. It is undercover which is good in bad weather but as it's enclosed it can be a bit claustrophobic when busy. No free parking anywhere so you may as well go "out of town" as there's far better places to shop.

Well, it's a mall like any other. It's entertaining and it has pretty much anything you need. Location is town centre which means you have access to other places in town quick and easy. I like the market at the bottom floor and I've been there hundreds of times, eating and shopping. Local sellers are the best. Toilets are decent too and they have a breastfeeding room, which is appreciated for mamas like me.

Ahhhhh 😋 The mall of blackburn!! Man I love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Its really beautiful there are alot of of shopping malls inside and you can say there are reasonable brands and ehmmm u knw but the main thing is beauty inside mall is beautiful and there are eating stuff too. The one i love eating in this mall is from pound bakery because i dont want to eat that much so i try jumbo cheese thats superb and what about bubble-tea 🤤🤤🤤🤤 should try that. Overall mall is very beautiful. Wanna ask questions?? Im all ears

This is the safest place that I have visited since the pandemic. Well manned by security, staff ensure the public are wearing masks and sanitizing hands, marked walkways that have to be adhered too, staff managing numbers in shops. Most staff pleasant and amenable whilst working under this extra pressure. A really positive experience I was very impressed and would certainly return.

The Mall Blackburn is a brilliant mix of high street stores , local markets and nice places to eat . Really good find

  • 5/5 Darryl H. 3 years ago on Google
Quite surprised how large the mall is. My wife and I found a diverse range of shops as well as cafes and eateries in which we could indulge ourselves in for the afternoon. We are more than pleased with the staff at Schuh who handled the exchange of my wife's birthday present with ease. We will be sure to visit again soon. If you Google "The Mall,Blackburn" then you will be able to find the directory of businesses that are located in the centre. A further point of note, don't be afraid to ask the centre staff (security, cleaning or general customer liaison) any questions regarding the stores or facilities located in the centre, as they are only too happy to help.

The Mall Blackburn always has car park space available and is reasonably priced on the pay meter. Great range of major retailers to suit all tastes, brands, quality, price and purchase requirements. The Market Hall is downstairs and convenient to be in the same building with a wide range of traders. You'll probably find everything you need at The Mall Blackburn.

If the wholesalers that' supply the retail carries on the way it is going I'm afraid there will be nothing left to see in Blackburn because Debenhams closing is just thc tip of the iceberg which makes me wonder what the town planners have in mind for the old Thwaits brewery site maybe a soup kitchen big enough to accommodate all the people that were once employed in the empty shell that was once proudly called Blackburn shopping centre. Come on Borris put your foot down before we all perish. ..

Unfortunately Blackburn Mall has deteriorated steadily over the last few years. Shops have closed and empty units remain. There are limited options for finding women's clothing and children's clothing. There are few independent stores offering something different / quality. There are no book stores yet plenty of low market pawn style shops which is sadly indicative of the lack of culture in Blackburn overall.

  • 2/5 Simon I. 2 years ago on Google
Clichéd place now - usual stores in a pretty usual kinda town - the current economical climate has alot to answer for imo.

  • 1/5 Julie R. 2 years ago on Google
I posted recently about the markets, same goes for the mall, why pay for parking when I only really went in for a top from one store, not a bargain if you put the parking fee on, shame new look and primark arn't on a retail park yet! When that happens the mall n markets might as well shut

  • 4/5 Woody 2 years ago on Google
Decent, big shopping mall. Very clean and lots of variety in terms of shops. Best part for me was the market and the different places to eat.

  • 5/5 Aasiya S. 2 years ago on Google
Looks great, bright and spacious, a good range of shops. Shame to see a fair few closing down due to the current pandemic. Hopefully they will be replaced with something better. Could do with some seating areas indoors. Nice link to the market. King william swuare ia lovely on a hot day with street musicians out, flowers bloomed and everyone sitting n enjoying the ambience.

Nice modern everything you need,, I only go into town for my bank, primark, sport direct spec savers and my beauty shop, and the library once in a blue moon. Otherwise I go to Chorley plus I love the fact that they don't knock all their shopping centre down, they just put extra buildings up. To keep the history, not like Blackburn blink and it's knocked down sad but true.

Lots of stores available, mostly clothes shops. Slight lack of stores that sell electrical based items. Places such as Argos & Debenhams are now no longer there. Worth visiting the market on the ground floor for some good bargains and also includes a food court.

  • 5/5 Colin G. 2 years ago on Google
Light and spacious indoor market with a wide variety of shops and eating opportunities. Plenty of parking available above the market with stairs and lifts to get you down to market level. Well worth a visit.

  • 4/5 John P. 2 years ago on Google
It's alright I suppose as a local shopping hub. But it's not somewhere I would visit for a day out. With the market below it has a reasonable choice, of shopping, and some very good quick eat and coffee shops, nearby. The market seems to have a few empty stalls. Blackburn because of a numerous factors seems to lack the certain image and shops to grab people into wanting to visit, from further afield If it perhaps had a better night life scene it may attract more visitors and encourage a wider range of shops. Train station and bus station located nearby and parking above the mall, whenever I have visited there have been spaces

changing facilities for babies failed again after refusing to use for just short of 3 years after the last time I tried to use the feeding room when my lad was a newborn and it being baltic in there today I bit the bullet. Still no better this heat plus the unemptied nappy bin 🤮 the smell was atrocious and this was just after 9am so just hadn't been emptied I'd like to say just yesterday but I imagine it was a few days worth. No one at help desk and no staff to be seen , lovely security guard though that got message passed onto relevant staff . Please sort out this changing room ( subway side )

Good mall good selection of shops a small issue is the escalator up from the market (floor below) isn’t working and the stairs can be difficult for some people and only one lift working and this has been like this for at least a month or two you think a tradesman should come and fix it clean place good security.

What on earth is the multi-story car park all about? I literally felt thick as trying to manoeuvre my way around it, no signs up for exits, seriously was like guess the way out! Money needs to be spent on signs and arrows re painted! Was only a short stay but the shopping centre looked nice and clean tho from what I saw on my short walk from the carpark.

Lots of empty shops. Parking was a nightmare. Pay stations for marking had huge ques and the lifts were out of order so 8 flights of steps to walk up. Lots of elderly and people with pushchairs struggling. Visited the marker which again had lots of empty stalls. Wouldn't be in a rush to visit again.

Visited Toyland grotto yesterday with my Grandson. Experience was so magical Lewis was enjoying every minute. Looking forward to next year visit.

It's an amazing place. If you can't buy what you want here, it doesn't exist. The fish stall is arguably the best in the area for miles. Clothes, butchers and cafes are everywhere.

Didn't enjoy the experience at all. The best thing to do is to knock it down and start again. The person who approved the plans should be sacked. And the car park completely redesigned. There isn't adequate signage, I wandered around for ages going round in circles. Been in mazes that were easier to negotiate.

The mall is good for most things I have found most shops have good staff who are helpful ( thanks you Holland and barrett). Its a bit of a wind tunnel at times along parts of the mall. But all in all I found my experiences good, people polite and friendly. A good browse in the market downstairs can reveal hidden gems. I found somewhere I can now buy kimchi. Fantastic!!. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Shopping centre in Blackburn Town centre, served of many shops like Primark, Poundland, poundbakery, Gregg's, Vodafone, Pandora, KFC, subway, at the bottom floor you can find the market where there's many shops like a fisherman's, fruit and veggies, meat, and multi ethnic food stalls

  • 5/5 Bilal A. 10 months ago on Google
Very nice place with good shopping area. Food options are a bit scattered around the mall instead of having a single place as food corner. However, the overall vibe and feel of the Mall is very decent and plenty of venues are available for everyone to shop & have fun. Paid parking available.

Nice , clean and everything in one place. It's no Westfield but does one really need one ? It does the job just fine for most. Security working hard to keep chavy teenagers out but some do manage to sneak in. Don't cause too much havoc though so it's fine.

Lots of shops, both clothing and food outlets, a new Waterstones. Parking is good, and uses a reusable plastic token system rather than wasteful card/paper tickets. (A future upgrade could be similar to the ANPR plate reader that the Fielden Street carpark uses) good toilets to the rear of the mall near the courts

  • 3/5 Luke U. 5 months ago on Google
Good shopping centre overall. Just lacking some good bargain shops. The old set up in Blackburn, though dated, was much better in my opinion.

  • 5/5 Paul J. 5 months ago on Google • 1 review
Excellent variety of shops (especially now Waterstones have finally come into town). Didn’t notice any vacant premises during my last visit which is unusual these days for shopping centres of this size. Very clean and well laid out. Numerous places for coffee and cake! Plenty of parking at reasonable cost
