Absolute Absolute rubbish.... it takes more than 45 mins to pick the call by the RECEPTIONIST. After talking, receptionist will decide to give appointment or not.... she's the one who PRESCRIBE PARACETAMOL. Why UK medical service following worst procedure?? Sick people calling them to get medical service... but what getting instead ?

I've been registered at this place since birth and it used to be fantastic when Dr Murdoch was in charge. Now it's an absolute shambles. Opens at 8am but the telephone queue isn't set up until 9am then when you do finally get through they want you to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. They need new receptionists who can actually do their job and be available when they're supposed to be.

Tried calling all weekend for an appointment gets to Monday I get told it would be over the phone but can’t be done till Thursday offered to send in photos to speed it up but was denied. Would rather go sit up in hospital all day than call them back for anything all I needed was basic antibiotics and they couldn’t even do that. Takes over a week to talk to a doctor no matter what is wrong with you. This practice has really gone down hill.

36 hours waiting for a telephone appointment, 85 years old with an immune surpressed system. No it's not COVID it's a chest infection. I need antibiotics. Can't wait to see how lond it takes. In the meantime I suppose I must just take it on the chin and suffer. They really have not heard the last of this.

The worst GP that I have ever come across with. The receptionist who picks up doesn't know her job and they are super rude as if they are doing us a favor. Some of the doctors such as Doctor Smith and doctor Black do not understand a word. I have told the GP that my mum needs an interpreter and filled out the form that would allow me to speak about her health conditions but whenever I get a call from these 'doctors' they won't disclose the information and still speak to my mother eventhough she is unable to speak in English. Ridiculous Sometimes these doctors gives me the vibe of being racist.

I've been to this GP at least 3 times to get myself registered. The second time I went, they almost lost the completed registration form I had given them, and they asked me to fill a new one. I got my second dose of covid vaccination from the Blackburn cathedral yesterday, which is when I found out that this GP hasn't registered my name or changed my address even after 3 months of giving them my completed registration form.

I think Shadsworth Surgery does a really good job - the staff are always friendly and helpful. No one gets it right all the time, but this is easily the best GP practice I've been registered with.

So not only is it a complete nightmare to get an appointment, you cant even see the doctor in person without their permission AFTER a phone appointment. The appointments are given with a range of time rather than being specific. Honestly tried changing my GP to get away from this awful ‘care’ but unfortunately nobody is taking on around here at the moment. However i have to say what a warm welcome i got from all other gp practices i went in to ask about changing. The first opportunity i get i’ll be leaving this practice. I’ll just wait a week for my phone call appointment in the mean time… what a joke.

Absolute waste of time having a phone! "Engaged" most the morning finally gets to ringing half hour on hold only to be cut off. Call again and I'm cut off again. It's a joke. I am now looking for another surgery. Past experiences are laughable.... rang once worried about daughters asthma playing up I was told I couldn't speak to Dr and to ring following day and to give daughter fresh orange to ease her breathing!!! This was the receptionist.

Absolute shambles of a surgery. Called this morning and was told a video appt would be made between 10 am and 11.30. Ok no problem. Get a call from a private unknown number, and because of call centers gave them in divert. I was not told that it was from a private the Dr would be calling. She rang at 11.44 to say missed appt and call. Back. Where on earth is the common sense. I sent photos in prior to 5he appt, she had all the information to make an informed decision there and then as what to do but no. Might be 3eduated but clearly lack common sense. Look at the photos Dr see what yiu would like to be done and leave a messege if not to difficult. If you need a Gp this ain't for you go somwhere else.

Absolutely 5star. Took my daughter this afternoon with conjunctivitis, was seen 5 minutes before the appointment time, the Doctor was lovely with my 4 year old daughter and put her at ease explaining what checks she was doing. The Doctor was very thorough, and my daughter says she was as kind as a princess. Thanks so much

If I could I would give zero for todays experience, going from 3 hours of trying to get an appoitment to Dr. Adam Black hanging up on me mid way through the appoitment. I could literally write a book on the bad experiences that I have had with this surgery

Absolute shambles. Would definitely give this place a big fat zero !!! If I remember what nurse gave me advice id definitely sparkle her up but shame I just don't remember. Had pain in my wrist and had phlegm and the only advise she gave me was its your hormones. Can never get thru reception either. Needs a close down !!

Absolutely awful. Nosy non qualified receptionist demanding to know why you need to see a doctor and you've more chance of meeting the pope than seeing one.

I would like to share my experience I've had with DR Marquee, she is an excellent GP who goes that extra mile for her patients. DR Maquee sadly Is a locum and only does one day but she is an asset to shadsworth surgery. Each time I have to see/speak to a GP I try and book myself in with her. I recently had a face to face appointment with her and honestly she is so approachable and and compassionate. it's not very common to meet a GP that is very thorough and takes your concerns and health seriously. We need more GPs like Dr Maquee please work more days DR Maquee your patients need you. keep it up nice to see good GPs still exist, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I'm a health care professional myself and it was lovely to see how kind DR Maquee is and the care she delivers is outstanding :)) WELL DONE PLEASE DO MORE DAYS WE NEED YOU.

Can never get through, have to hold after very long winded message. Costs a fortune to ring this place. Doctor was suppost to ring me between 9 and 1300, its now 1500 hrs and nothing. Cheaper to pay for petrol and drive there. THIS SURGERY NEEDS INCOMING CALL REVIEW. WHY ISNT THERE PROPER APPOINTMENTS ANYMORE? YOU CAN WITH A DENTIST WHO GAS CLOSER CONTACT. FED UP WITH TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO THIS PLACE.

Second time I've tried to call the surgery since 8:30 and keep getting 'line busy' why is the line busy?! Do you not open at 8am? Shambles!

  • 1/5 Danny S. 2 years ago on Google
I personally heard one of the doctors joke to the receptionist telling her "don't bother with the phone before 9am, nobody in shadsworth is up before then". Really bad attitude and terribly unhelpful, should be avoided if posdible

👍👍 Had a peanut reaction from a meal out on a Friday night, more severe than ever before. 111 recommended A&E but was told it’s a 5 hour wait when we got there and there wasn’t much that could really be done. After getting back home and getting warm my entire body broke out in hives and 111 got a docto...
