This is a delightful hotel. The evening meal was delicious. We had a trio of beets that needed to be slightly thinner but gorgeous none the less. You simply must have the coconut panacota best I have had in years. The breakfast was a delight as others have said with great coffee. Not always good in my experience. The room was spacious and brilliant bed, lovely and clean too. Sadly for me, I forgot my very expensive camera and had to return 110 miles to collect it. The domestic team had handed it in and the management called to say we had left something. Tried calling them back and after a number of attempts over 90 minutes decided I just need to collect it. Left a £20 reward for the domestic staff and seriously my undying gratitude. Chap at reception said he would ensure the lady concerned would receive her reward. Highly recommended hotel and we hope to come again if this part of the world. Summary, go if you want service, tasty food oh...you are right on the sea front too.

The food was excellent My room was nice as they gave me one of the newly renovated rooms It was so hot though we asked for a fan and were told they were only given to their special guests. My friend who was staying at the Park House next door came by with one the manager from his hotel loaned me. I’d stayed there a couple of times before when visiting and never had such terrible service before. Every other hotel we stayed at the service was wonderful. Next time if we come we will have to find a better hotel .

The Imperial Hotel was easy to find a good location right on the sea front. On arrival we found plenty of car parking spaces on the hotel premises. Check in was quick and easy with friendly and helpful staff. Room suits to building however cleanliness could been better expecially in the bathroom. Overall we had a very comfortable stay with a very good breakfast, we were seated and served very quickly with no waiting around. We would definitely stay again.

The staff were absolutely wonderful to us, dining room, bar, cleaners and reception. The food was very good, The room was a seaview, slightly dated but we loved it nonetheless. It was in our week, wet and windy so the backstreet in to the town in order to keep upright. We have been many times and will do so in the future. We loved it.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea there yesterday. Chris our server was a delight. Never had a savoury layer to a high tea before and it stole the show. Blown away with the taste if all the goodies served to us. Thank you 😊. Jackie Wareham

Beautiful hotel. Great evening entertainment. Rooms lovely, beds were so comfy. Service was great, very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely; pastries, full breakfast, pancakes, fruit, yogurts, cereals etc. Based on my stay, the location was a 30 minute walk to main places in the centre; by the tower. Although it wasn't much of a problem, might be convenient for others 😊

The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The palm Court restaurant was excellent, staff were great and the menu was fantastic for dairy and gluten allergies. Quality of food was really good too. Room service food was good, although we had to order via reception. The evening entertainment was excellent. The No 10 bar was a great place for a drink. The whole architecture and history of the hotel made our stay an interesting one. We will definitely return and stay again.

Great building on the outside but inside the decor needs updating. Hotel room was in need of attention with old dated furniture and appearance. Breakfast was just ok. Evening meal you have to pay for separately and although beautifully presented it was over priced for what you get. Be warned that you have to pay £9 per night to use their own private car park!

We were a 20 minute walk away from the town centre but there is a tram stop right outside but we didn't use the tram. We had breakfast in the hotel. It's set out as a buffet and you can have a mixture of continental and hot food. It was nice. We also had afternoon tea. It was delicious. I recommend the scones. There was good entertainment in the bar at night. The drinks were a tad on the expensive side but we didn't mind. The rooms were cosy and spacious with a little fridge which I find great. The beds were comfy. All nice and clean. I've stayed here twice now and will most likely be back again.

We had a very pleasant stay here, reception staff and restaurant staff were excellent and very helpful. We love the older hotels from the early 1900's. The rooms could do with a bit of an up-date, but you can't beat the decadence of the place it's just wonderful.

Lovely 2 night stay for our trip to the seafront. Bed was amazing, haven’t slept that well in a long time. Room was spacious, all the amenities were there. Only slight gripe was the bathroom being a little bit run down and my partner noted the shower was a bit lack lustre. For a two day stay it was totally fine for us. Breakfast was amazing, both mornings were great. The 8am slot was nice and quiet and assured we were sat, had hot drinks ordered and started getting food in less than a minute. Would definitely stay again, really was a strong highlight of our trip.

We got to the hotel in good time for check in to tea, coffee and cake. Our room was beautiful, the imperial is like an old palace. The staff there cannot do enough for you. The beds were comfortable, it was perfect. Loved breakfast, cannot wait to do it again x 💖

Came to Blackpool for only one night. We upgraded our room to a room with a sea view. It cost us £30!!! We got a room that had absolutely old window, not able to open it more than 20cm. The room was steaming hot! We got a small fan after asking for it. The hotel itself is old fashioned. Our room was very outdated. The bed was comfortable tho. Paid £12 for breakfast, each, was pretty ok. The staff members were nice. I wouldn’t come back unfortunately.

We booked a night here for £140 for a double sea view with breakfasts, we parked easily for £9 a night and check in was easy the hotel is traditional and grand it’s had a refurbishment so it’s not tired looking. Our room was very nice on the 4th floor but next to the lift a spacious bathroom and great view. Breakfast was superb with self service only one complaint if I had to have one was the room was a little to hot but we could of had a fan by request. I would definitely come back

Fantastic all round experience during our stay at the Imperial Hotel. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and food was lovely. As a coeliac with lots of other intolerances they catered for me beautifully which made a nice change.

We tried to upgrade our room but hotel was full. Beautiful hotel but needs a lot of money spending on it, our room was very small, very basic, found a pair of socks at the side of the chair, no idea how the cleaner missed them. Our friends room, when they turned the water on in the sink, just leaked out the bottom, fixings obviously needed looking at. Staff were very friendly.

I stayed in a double room at the back of the hotel. It was clean but small even for a double room. It's very dated and the floors creaked everywhere in the hotel. I was in the reception and noticed the wallpaper peeling and a hole in the curtains. I was shocked when I looked out of my bedroom window to see scaffolding at the back of the hotel. It was like looking at a building site. The food is good, but the hotel is very dated and needs a whole revamp. It's far from being a four-star hotel. The swimming pool and gym was out of commission. I will give it a rating of 2 stars.

We stayed for 1 night. Hotel is lovely, great check-in very relaxed atmosphere. Rooms and bathroom could could with an upgrade. Breakfast was fantastic great variety of food. It was lovely to be able to get food late at night after we had been out. Would stay again.

OK, so like most of these grand old seaside hotels, this one would benefit from a refresh (especially the shower!) but nevertheless, it's a gorgeous place to spend a few nights. The sans-aircon rooms may get a little hot during the summer, but the rest of the hotel was so characterful. Wood panelling everywhere and a lovely, art deco bar. Breakfast was good and the public rooms were spacious. The location is faultless: right on the seafront and a tram stop virtually on the doorstep. Would definitely return.

Booked a DELUXE Double sea view room for extra money !! Looks just like a basic double loads of issues on our arrival. Big tea or coffee stain on duvet cover, howling gale through the tiny sash window had to insulate with towels radiator in bathroom not working, worn out patches on the headboard, no bathrobes or slippers as stated had to ask for them. Cleanliness could also be looked at … This is definitely not what I would call deluxe so don’t waste your money

We had the festive afternoon tea in the Derby room with a Seaview. Really loved it, amazing food which was done fresh and the waiter Chris was great, really informative about the history of the room and building. We had a lovely time perfect for a Christmas treat/present.

Fantastic place to stay as Blackpool is notorious for cheap seaside bed and breakfasts. This was most definitely not one of those. A real hotel 😉. The hotel itself was excellent. The lobby, lounge and bar areas were superb. The rooms were a little dated and rundown but still clean and functional. Nice to see a 32" TV, for a change. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous. Reasonably priced and definitely better than 3* pub grub. Could not fault that. Breakfast was similarly very good and extremely varied, which made a nice change. Still a serve yourself buffet style, so you know what you are getting there. All in all, a great hotel in a popular location. We will definitely never take a cheap b&b in Blackpool ever again.

Pending reviewvia mobile Remarkable building. However, asked reception about dining in the restaurant and was told it was closed as they where to busy. Had to eat in the bar. Food good but would rather the restaurant. On my way out discovered that the restaurant was open and now fully booked. Lack of communication, something the reception should know as they are front of house and the first person the client sees. Reception is very miserable along with the bar staff. I have a premium room at a premium rate. The main room is very good but the draft through the 3 main single pane Windows is horrendous and the sashes are knocking in the wind. A premium room in my opinion shouldn't have loose tiles in the bathroom and is very dated. Unfortunately it looks nothing like what I looked at on the Internet when I booked directly. Damp in corner of the room as the wallpaper is loose. Its just all a bit disappointing when you pay a premium to stay here and your room isn't a premium and neither are the staff welcoming especially when I regard myself as being polite and friendly with good manners.More

Great hotel. Staff are fantastic, food is excellent and great value. Rooms are clean and comfortable though it was a bit warm during the night. Good location, only 10 minutes walk to centre. Highly recommended.

Hotel was very nice. Our bedroom was very big and we had a king size bed which was nice as some places the room are quiet small. Our breakfast was buffet style so you helped yourself to what ever you wanted. Staff were very polite. Was a lovely break.

Wonderful stay from Friday till Monday with my husband. While there was a little bump at the start, this was very quickly rectified by Chloe, the manager of the hotel who ensured our stay was comfortable and complete. The staff are friendly, the theme of the hotel is gorgeous with its history, and the views from the rooms facing the front are wonderful. Would love to come back again for another break at the imperial hotel ☺️

Will definitely be going back. Excellent sea view ( albeit of the Irish sea and not the Mediterranean). Lovely size room with all the expected facilities, very clean and serviced daily. The staff were all very helpful( I believe the manager was called Alison and she helped find a suitable room that was accessible for my partner). The entertainment was not your run of the mill performances but a cut above. Food was excellent ate in both nights, why go out when food is so nice.

Had a short break here and it was great. Superb Victorian hotel beautifully maintained in top condition, and immaculately clean. All the staff without exception were excellent at their work and friendly and cheerful with it. Restaurant serving faultless first class dining. Sea front location handy for catching the tram for the short trip into town, and has it's own well organised car park. For us the Imperial Hotel is a bigger attraction than Blackpool itself!

I was given a first floor room that was spacious with sea views. The staff were amazing. Everyone was extremely helpful with particular thanks to Chris who was acting Head waiter in the dining room who was particularly helpful. The food served was beautifully prepared and served. Thank you everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay .

Just home from a fantastic stay at The Imperial Hotel. Room was lovely, we had a sea view room. The rooms aren't modern but they have character for the age of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. We were on a DBB rate, the evening meals in the Palm Court restaurant were fabulous, head chef Phil should be praised for the outstanding meals he creates. The staff are all very welcoming, two in particular that went above and beyond to help us were Tony on reception and Ron in the restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is really well located, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I don't think the hoovers work particularly well as there were lots of bits of a broken bracelet in the bedroom carpet. We would stay again. Breakfasts were fantastic!

I loved the history of the hotel and the period decor. Room good size and clean. Lovely comfortable bed. Like other guests have said it is looking a little tired but it is an old hotel. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. My mum was in a wheelchair and I found it very accessable. All the staff were very friendly and polite. My one and only criticism is the bar prices on the soft drinks. €2.40 for a small lemonade was over the top in my opinion but I would definitely stop here again.

It was definitely a very welcoming hotel, the staff were so kind and extremely helpful. Was there for work, had room service and that was very nice, my room had a sea view and was very warm. Only downside was the tiny bathroom, I have stayed in a couple of different Blackpool hotels and the bathrooms have always been tiny, this one was no exception! Maybe I will have better luck next time.

Great place to stay. Very, very good. Okay so it has faded a little but is still glorious. The Palm Court Restaurant is probably the best in Blackpool, wide range of rooms to choose from and ours with sea views was great. The staff, all of them, were extremely professional. Can’t wait to return.

Apart from being a grand old Victorian hotel, largely (in a good way) unspoiled by reckless modernisation, what really sets this hotel apart are the staff. The hotel manager, Alison, has a fantastic team - all of whom genuinely care about customers and providing good, caring and above all, friendly service. The restaurant (the recently refurbished, Palm Court) provides a wonderful setting for a hearty breakfast and some wonderful dinners (well done Chefs and your colleagues in the kitchens) - all made more enjoyable by the waiting staff, headed up by the wonderful and convivial host, Ron. In terms of UK Seaside Hotels, we’ve yet to find it’s better and will definitely be returning many more times.

Our stay at the Imperial Hotel has been very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room rate was reasonable for the size of room. There was no fridge in the room which could be improved upon especially during hot summer months. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good selection of fruit, cheese, cereal and croissant. The hot food was very good and a good variety on the hot plate. Tea and coffee was brought to the table and everything else was self service. I would stay here again because the hotel very close to the centre (Blackpool tower).

I visited this hotel with my family for 2 nights. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff (older man with glasses) who welcomed us, explained the car parking system and also told us what room we would be staying in. My family and I were very pleased with the size of the room that we given. We were provided with a double bed, single bed and sofa bed. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. We were also pleased that we were provided with an iron, TV and fridge. We had booked a buffet breakfast and we were greeted by a lovely lady at the front of the restaurant. She provided us with a high chair for my toddler. I didn’t know how much of the food would be catered for Muslims but we enjoyed hash browns, fried and scrambled eggs and beans. There was also a selection of cereals and bakery food. The waiters also provided my wife with tea. I would like to thank the hotel staff at The Imperial Hotel for a lovely experience; all staff members were polite, courteous and lovely.
