Lovely place. The arcade and the shops around make the place very happy and lively. There were many seagulls around and dogs by the beach! also some horses on the main road.. I'd recommend for a day trip, not longer.

What a lovely old fashioned pier the North Pier! Interesting things to look at and enjoy as you stroll along, wheelchair accessible and cafes, pubs but not rowdy ones along the way, traditional seaside gift shops, ice cream and candy floss etc. Sooty and the story of how it all began, raising money with a slot to put coins in if desired for the RNIB (people that are blind or partial sighted) . Great theatre at the end of the North Pier with pics of acts past & present that have performed in the theatre. Bloom bar is lovely, pricey but quality in a great setting, DJ Desmond played some great Motown & Soul music , and you can dance or relax either under cover, or in the garden part with lovely comfy outdoor tables & chairs, with beautiful views of the sea and Blackpool Tower.

Love the vibe of North pier. There are coffee shops, souvenir shops, pubs and bars on the pier that people can enjoy! All with the view of blackpool tower!

It's showing its age slightly, I'm sure some of the wooden boards need looking at but this is one of my favourite piers. More open to the elements than the others it doesn't have lots of attractions on it but it is home of the Joe Longthorne theatre right at the end ....along with a lovely bar called Bloom. The views here are great as well the perfect viewing point for the Tower and the promenade

Traditional pier, theatre at the end along with a sun lounge, bar and carousel. Amusements and cafe at the land end but not ruined by kiosks and rides. Lovely for a quieter stroll.

Pleasantly surprised how calm and peaceful this pier was compared to the other two. Something for all ages from classic carousel, arcade, seating and show bars. We visited around lunchtime during the summer holidays and it was quiet and only some of the attractions operating. The carousel and train were reasonably priced. If you are weary of wooden structures probably avoid as you can feel movement in the wooden planks otherwise if your after a peaceful spot with good views it's the place to go. The pier also hosts many well known acts imagine it could feel lively later in the day.

We love North pier. Great view of the coast and of course the Tower. Not been on here since 2019 and this time we found the pub at the end. Absolutely loved it, really comfy place to rest you achy feet from all the walking in Blackpool

It's the nicest of the three piers because its largely kept its traditional appearance and it has uninterrupted views of the coastline north of the pier with the Lake District in the distance.

Good old traditional wooden pier, enjoyed my many over the decades. There's a few stalls selling candy and ice cream, aswell as a few rides. Best of, it's a lovely place to sit down and relax, listening to the waves crashing below you. On a clear day, there's a view of the isle of man to your right and the welsh coast on your left.

Amazing day with beautiful views over the Irish Sea and great food at home of the wrap while we watched the gorgeous sunset. The pier is wooden and is longer than it looks whilst walking down, well 8 am a bit unfit but I still enjoyed it very much.

Loved it on this pier. Really sunny day. Quite a few shops on here, selling food and novelty gifts. Great to see so much information about the pier over the years (including Sooty and Harry Corbett).

Historic pier with scenic views of the seafront. Some safety concerns with the benches, as there is nothing stopping small children from sliding over the short backs of the benches and into the watery depths below. Quite a rusty relic in places with no recent plank replacement. Mainly just has bars/cafes on it with inflatable area and a carousel.

Visited the bar at the start of the pier and as it was a warm day sat outside where there are tables and chairs for you to use, there was a dj inside when I was there and you could request a song to be played ,this can be heard outside as there are external speakers, at the other end of the pier there is a theatre where you can watch shows and their is an even bigger bar with a large outside seating area for warmer days.

Fab view of the firework competition and nice clean well maintained penny arcade. Amazing waffle/ice-cream place outside too. Defo take cash they prefer it over card payments especially with the ever increasing bank charges.

Great place to visit. Lovely views from the pier, and plenty of choice of eateries on it. Even some live music adding to the atmosphere of the seaside holiday.

For family day out - you'll have a wonderful time at the North pier promenade in Blackpool. It has the nostalgic feel to it, with the vintage arcade games, the Ferris wheel, and the charming shops. The pier was lively and colourful, with plenty of attractions and entertainment for all ages. I enjoyed the views of the sea and the beach, and the breeze was refreshing. The promenade was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend visiting this place, especially if you had little children and you are looking for a fun and relaxing day out.

You can't go to Blackpool without going on to one of the piers, their a study in design and engineering from years gone by, which unfortunately is beginning to tell , a lot of the ornate railings have rusted completely through and are boarded off though you can still sit on the original seating which runs down both sides, some of the original decking is still in place as well as some replacements but they've gone for the cheap and easy fix of putting big sheets of marine ply down which does spoil the look somewhat. There's a few little refreshment kiosks along the length as well as very small fair at the end, price wise it's completely free just to wonder along and enjoy the sea breeze and views of the promenade or the Irish sea and to be fair the kiosks aren't badly priced I had a triple scoop ice-cream in a large cornet (there was a lot of ice-cream) and it cost Β£4, in comparison I've paid the same for a small cone with one scoop in Windermere

Sadly the pier is looking shabby - brittle, cracked, uneven floorboards that need replacing... some with holes developing. Ornate metal work rusting, that clearly needs treating. So annoying that owners are not showing more care for this once beautiful historic structure 🀬 On a positive note .... you can get lovely views of Blackpool from this neglected pier.

Best pier on the prom. Beautiful bar at the end, with a real victorian feel. Gorgeous carousel too!

I have got to say, Blackpool has improved dramatically over the past years. Including this lovely north pier. It was fairly quiet as it was on a Monday afternoon. The place was clean and very scenic during the heatwave sunsets. I will keep on coming now. Its free of charge to enter the pier.

This pier is more calm and peaceful compared to the other two. A lovely classic carousel, Arcades and plenty of seating. The carousel and train are reasonably priced. Very Peaceful with good views. Worth a visit, and the ice cream is lovely at the front of the pier too.

Couldn't find anywhere to eat so I went on the North pier and was served lovely fish and chips by a nice young lady while I watched the sun go down.

I recently visited a pier with a nice restaurant at the bottom. The pier itself is picturesque with stunning Blackpool tower and the Irish sea views and a lively atmosphere. This is my favourite pier in Blackpool and is not yet infested with low life ,drunk people.

I enjoyed this in a different way from the central pier. It's quiet and old-fashioned, and you can have a v expensive drink looking out at the Irish Sea.

Lovely old English seaside pier. One of 3 in Blackpool. Great old carousel from early 1900s at the end a good under cover gin bar.

Very busy for the fireworks took a long time to get through the lights but we'll worth it. We visit every year. The fireworks were great

Went to the Bloom Bar at the end of north pier. Great selection of Gin's, good dj Saturday night playing a very good choice of music. Both the garden bar and inside really well set up. Great view of the tower and prom from inside the Bloom Bar. Altogether a great night out!

Cold rainy and windy!!! ......but this is Blackpool. North Pier lost a couple of rating stars today as none of the on-pier rides were open. It still remains part of Blackpool history and worth a walk down if close by. Of course, it's close proximity to the Tower also gives great views of the sea front, arcades and illuminations.

  • 4/5 Yvette S. 1 year ago on Google
First time here, at least I can tick it off my bucket list. Did not get on to the Tower due to high wind, it was closed twice, unable to refund tickets, so given other free entry to other attractions. Tickets are valid for one year. Just be aware of this, no signage to state anywhere by ticket desk, no cash refunds. Lovely to visit but not stay, lot's of attractions and Cinderella type horse and carriages that are lit up.

Pier was nice to walk on - very long, Β£1 train service to take you to the end - can see the beach and blackpool pleasure beach across from the pier nice and relaxing

This pier is alright. It's a nice walk with a good view of the other pier and Blackpool tower. If travelling by bus there is a stop few minutes away. Some of the walk way wobbles but I'm unsure if it was the insane winds that day.

Lovely town, known for beauty and prosperity. The sunsets here are one of the bests in the country and was amazing letting my family go into the dungeons, although I wouldn't recommend bringing anyone younger than 7 in. Nonetheless, they still had a fantastic time dancing on the strictly come dancing floor. My wife and grandparents would've loved it.

A lovely example of a Victorian pier - as with most it is looking a little dated. Facilities OK, toilets are available but busy and not overly clean. Bar at the end is better than its been, but watch out for kids no entry (we were asked to leave at 5pm) and the pre-mixed cocktails on tap are nice but expensive (Β£11ish). Carousel is lovely and has been here for many years - worth a quick ride for Β£2

Went to Bloom Bar to see the illuminations and it's beautiful. I'd never been in North pier, it was late in the evening but the carousel is gorgeous and there's a little motortrain that drives to the end of the pier and back. It's amazing how the 3 piers are so different but I really like the Northern one, it feels a bit more genteel 😁 The view of the illuminations and tower was super too πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Really enjoyed North Pier, it was a step back in time as we walked along the wooden walk way and took in the sights and sounds of the pier. Enjoyed a turn on the merry go round and watched the train going up and down. Didn't realize that it was the home of sooty.

Really liked this pier as it’s much quieter than the central and south piers. Lovely stroll down to the bar at the end to just sit and chill and listen to music. Dogs were allowed in too. Victorian seating the whole way down the pier and a little train too.
