Small but lovely. Takes an hour to get around when it's not busy. That's more than enough time to have have good look at everything. One way system which is great as can't get lost and don't miss out on anything. Friendly staff, nice and clean and suitable for the pram. Tanks are huge and also clean with the fish well looked after. Huge baby changing facilities which was great.

Amazing visit. Wasn't too busu, staff was both knowledgeable and attentive. The shark talk was exciting and fun. Fish are beautiful and it's very informative. Took us around an hour and a half but if you to read everything properly you can be there for 2 hours easily.

An incredibly relaxing and informational experience! I could easily spend all day watching the various fish exhibits throughout the attraction. A great day out for families and adults alike! The staff are friendly, the sections are kept clean and the pricing is definitely good value.

A brilliant experience for the whole family. I took my fiancé and our 7 month old baby girl. It was quite expensive but it was worth every penny because I’ve never seen our baby girl so happy. She was laughing and smiling throughout but took a particular liking to the bubbles in the water and the sharks in the large tank towards the end of the walk. There were many fish, crabs and sharks to see. The walk took over an hour and we had so much fun. The souvenir shop had a selection of cuddly toys, key rings and more, and our baby girl adores the soft pink seahorse toy we purchased for her. I’d definitely recommend a visit and I have every confidence I’ll go again.

Had a great time with my family here. My daughter who is only 8 months old was really excited watching the fishes, listening to the ambient sounds and looking at the various lighting on show. It's a very interactive and informative experience, the staff there were very knowledgeable and always on hand to answer any questions we had. We even had a couple of staff randomly come chat to us and take us on a one-to-one tour providing us with such interesting and useful information and knowledge. Due to visiting during the out of season period, there was not many visitors about which gave us plenty of time to explore. The attraction could have been larger but for the price we paid you cannot grumble (received a Blue Light Card discount). Thanks to all of the staff who contributed to our pleasant experience here. Keep up the great work guys!

Lovely visit and good for families. Last visit was 30 odd years ago. Plenty of toilets. Interesting and interactive. The exit was not clear. (I am sight impaired so it might have been obvious to someone else) I did need help from my partner to navigate as the flooring and design is lovely and immersive but I had to be careful not to trip in places.

Wow! This was much better than I was expecting. It's massive I thought this would be tiny but apparently there is a million gallons of water in here. The selection of fish is very varied as are the environments.

Loved every minuite, as did the whole family. Please make sure you book in time to get to the shark tank for 2.30pm as this is when they feed the sharks and this is most definitely the highlight of the sea life centre

Awesome shop and staff very very helpful and extremely knowledgeable!!! After going into my local fish shop in Bolton (not naming), I looked at there reviews and they were shocking and afew people mentioned Oasis Aquarium in Salford. Well can I say, I wasn’t disappointed at all and got fully kitted out. Just need to buy our fish now once the tank has had time to settle. Can’t wait to go back and pick our tropical fish!! Thanks very much for all your help. Would highly recommend. Was well worth the extra few mile trip!!!

Lovely trip out. The lady at the touching rock pool was lovely. The whole place was amazing ! Will be back again. Kept me and my mum captivated for the whole time. Very disabled accessible. Only downside was lots of people around and not limited number of people .

A wide variety of sea creatures which are viewable at many different heights so perfect for the whole family or if you are disabled you can still see all of the tanks.

Great Experience, I brought both of my children for the third time this year and they have enjoyed it everytime. We spent a good few hours looking at all the different sea life and learning about them. The animals all seem very happy and look well fed, the tanks and the building itself was very clean. We was in time for the "Turtle Talk" which was good fun and a learning experience in itself for both me and my children. We then ended the day on a new level when the children got to meet Peppa Pig, we pre purchased photos online with our tickets and they was worth every penny. Prices are fair Very clean facilities Child Friendly Learning Experiance Fun and enjoyable 10 out of 10 I would recommend this location to my friends and family and just anybody that is looking to experience a good quailty time. We would like to thank all the staff and sea animals there for making our day wonderful. Thank you.

Amazing got tickets as a bundle pack with tower etc ( make sure to check time on the ticket as you only get to a certain time). Had a look around and met the amazingly lovely staff. They were very informative and the animals were all clean and well looked after. Had a lovely shark, turtle and sting ray talk off of Kyle and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Used the Kellogg's cereal box vouchers to purchase tickets for myself and 5 year old. We went at 10am during the holidays and it was lovely and quiet. We were able to go around a couple of times. We stayed for about an hour and a half. Staff were very friendly and the gift shop had some very reasonably priced souvenirs. Will definitely go again.

First time here! Polite staff in the entrance and we where told where to go etc which was nice! Lots of things to look at there and the tanks look well kept indeed! Lots of information plates to read and keep you active as you wander around so that was a nice touch! Loved the giant tank with phoenix the turtle that was amazing! Well done folks!

Charges 20 pound per person.. it was good and have good varieties of sea creatures. But my expectations was more like tunnel with glass and we can see all those creatures as if we are beneath ocean.. fortunately at least there was such thing but a small one.. worth a visit. one time watch and good for kids..

Loved it. Amazing place. 3 children loved it. Especially the pop up tank where the children can go inside to view the fish. And the fact you could touch the star fish and crabs in the first rock pool on arrival. Big place. Pram accessible. And has a cafe too.

Nice place to visit while in Blackpool. Its not massive but its big enough to spend an hour or 2 looking around. They have staff giving talks about the creatures, Kyle did a great job doing our talk. I definitely recommend booking before you go, we didn't and had to buy our tickets and then come back a few hours later at the next available time slot. Its also cashless so you need a bank card to get in, if you haven't booked online, and to buy photos and gifts from the gift shop etc

Really enjoyed it but would only go as part of the package deal with another attraction, they also need to spell check their signage as treasure was spelt wrong on every single sign also the stingray sticker was a bit confusing but they don't take anything away from what you're really there for the the variety on show was great and the talk at the end was really good I just wish I could remember her name to give her the credit she deserves

Great attraction for all the family and of all ages. Small part were you can touch the starfish & sea urchins. Plenty of interaction points. Great tunnel to walk through with the sharks and sea turtle swimming over and huge sting rays. Lots of varieties of fish, lobsters, eels, seahorses and much more! Very informative and friendly staff and a great talk and get to know the sea turtle. From start to finish it was an hour and we didn't rush round so not an all day experience but we'll worth a visit. Tanks are beautifully kept and all the fish look healthy and well looked after. Has a gift shop at the end and small coffee shop.

The family and I visited SEA LIFE Blackpool during the 2023 October half-term. This was our second visit and the first for a few years. . I had fairly low expectations of the experience having previously found it fairly underwhelming. However, I was really impressed with the changes and improvements made to the venue. . We pre-booked tickets as part of the Merlin Blackpool big ticket offer. Purchasing the tickets via this offer makes the cost of entry much lower and I'd strongly recommend exploring this if you're planning on visiting other Merlin attractions whilst in Blackpool. . The venue takes you on a journey through different water creatures and you can really get up close to the tanks and even touch some of the sea creatures as they pass you by. . The highlight for me was definitely the walk through tank where you can get 180 degree views of sharks and turtles amongst others. . The experience ends with a talk all about the sea life and its history in the area and beyond. My kids found this really engaging and Gill was an excellent and knowledgeable host. . We didn't purchase the mandatory Merlin photo as it was pretty poor. I must be honest, I do think the photo shoot on entry has really had its day in the era of smart phones. I guess people still buy them but I think a more creative idea should be adopted. . In summary, SEA LIFE Blackpool is an underwater adventure that shouldn't be missed when visiting Lancashire's historic seaside town.

Very good attraction for any visit to Blackpool. Family of 6 entered after booking online with a pic "n" mix tickets. Fantastic information was given by staff during the visit. Walking through the tunnel was amazing adults, and children really enjoyed the visit. Waiting time was only a few minutes.

We really enjoyed our trip around sea life. We took our 1 year old, she’s too young to really know what was going on, but it’s a great sensory experience for babies, lots of colours. It’s a perfect place to go on a wet, winter day when you need an indoor activity, that’s not to say you can’t enjoy it all year round. Prices in the cafe and gift shop are expensive, but you kind of expect that nowadays so go prepared with some drinks and snacks.

This is a brilliant day out for the whole family no matter what the age. We loved seeing all the animals and the best bit was experiencing the largest tank which has a giant sea turtle and sharks in and the even tell you about the animals. It's reasonably priced and there is wheelchair access. You can buy souvenirs and also get a commerative picture while your there all at a good price . We had a fantastic day out and its close to other attractions.

Beautiful well kept healthy aquariums of large scale. Beautiful fish, crustaceans, sharks, rays and a few turtles. Expensive entry and the one way system means you go through once and then you're done but can be done in just over an hour so don't plan your whole day there.

Thanks for a brilliant day !

Really recommend it! Make sure you look carefully in each area, and look closely in each tank! It was bigger than we expected, and well worth the money. Combined our ticket with one for the tower eye, and it worked out cheaper.

Small, but packed with lots of things to see and touch. The underwater tunnel is one of the biggest I've been to. Lots of sharks and rays, and the tank that they are in, you can walk around and get loads of different angles to take pics from. As aquariums go, it's not the best, but its pretty darn good and worth the price of admission.

Me and my boyfriend visited during our holiday in Blackpool, we didn’t know what to except being adults however we had a lovely time! It is more children orientated however we still had an amazing time, it only took us about an hour and half to get around the whole place so would recommend doing the morning and making other plans in the afternoon

I took my 1 year old and he loved it, the only issue is that there is one lift that is quite small. I love going to the sea life centre its amazing

  • 4/5 Ellis Annabelle W. 2 years ago on Google
I enjoyed it but my 4 year old son didn't. He was scared. The way it is set out is very dark and creepy. I entered through the door and two men asked me to sit down so I did and thought I had to sit and wait to go through or something. I was so embarrassed when they said it's a photo lol. Then I started sitting straight and smiling for a photo but my son wouldn't... Lol. I wish they had said would you like to have your photo taken? If I said yes then ask me to sit not just immediately ask me to sit.

So during my visit we were originally supposed to go to the Blackpool tower but this was changed to the Sea Life due to them not telling us that the tower was under maintenance. This was obviously a bit of a change of what we were supposed to do but it was a really nice experience going here instead and we really enjoyed ourselves seeing all of the sea life.

  • 5/5 Trevi Y. 1 year ago on Google
It had been great to see the wide variety of ocean animals, from all kinds of fish, seahorse, the green turtle to the gorgeous, fast swimmers: sharks. Didn't have to wait for too long at the queue to purchase the entry tickets, it was a weekday going there, not too crowded, there are clear signs visitors can follow for a suggested route, so that going through the amazing tour around the aquarium would be even smoother in terms of better time management.

  • 4/5 Gary C. 1 year ago on Google
Worth a visit but try and go at less popular times of the day. The centre is accessible but there is only one way in and out which can cause queues at the lift. The tanks are clean and the fish appear to be well cared for.

We visited here whilst on holiday in Blackpool. It’s a fantastic place. We were able to touch some of the animals in the rock pool at the start and then we walked through the attraction. Lots to see and activities for the kids. The sea creatures seem to be content and very well looked after. Their enclosures look clean and spacious. Staff are polite and helpful I advise a couple of hours for a good visit.

  • 5/5 Sam S. 1 year ago on Google
Perhaps not as long as some other sea life attractions, however Blackpool more than makes up for this in the variety of animals. Having visited other sea life attractions we found that Blackpool had numerous unique parts, for example it’s large focus on sharks including a shark nursery! We really had a fantastic visit and the shark talk we saw at the end was amazing and interesting!

  • 4/5 Anthony H. 10 months ago on Google
It’s a great place to see all types of sea life but better in the summer months as you have workers in there in different sections talking over a microphone explaining in a bit more detail than just being there and looking around. It’s great for kids but I would recommend booking in advance but you’ll only save a couple of quid. If you can get the 2 for 1 coupons from cereal boxes to packets of crisps then that’s definitely a must as will work out a lot cheaper . We still paid £39 for a family of 4 and under 3s get in free. Pictures included are a tiny example compared as it has a big underwater walkway through the 10ft tank where you can see the big ones. Good day out

  • 3/5 Kevin L. 10 months ago on Google
Was looking forward to visiting this place, my expectations were that there would be a long section that is a glass tunnel underwater, but actually it's a very short section 5 metres at best, the rest is like looking in fish tanks. Many of the interactive sections no longer work, there are some beautiful fish in there but I feel overall it's expensive for what you get.

  • 5/5 PBD 10 months ago on Google
Well organised. Online booking makes it very easy to get in. It is on a main tram stop on the front so easy to get to. Rather small so only takes about 90m to get around and it is a bit crowded inside. Worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Adrian P. 1 year ago on Google
Two words..."So good" I arrived late in the afternoon but the staff kindly squeezed me in as I'm not local. There's a variety of displays, tanks, walk through areas, curved domes that you can virtually reach into as if you're touching the fish. Turtles and rays were so relaxing to watch. Sharks and Angel Fish always entertaining..worth going I'd say, but book the day before for discounts etc.

A great day out, can be a bit tight in some areas if you have a wheelchair but other than we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots 9f different sea creatures that the kids will love.

  • 4/5 Adeyemi A. 9 months ago on Google
Sea Life is a very interesting tour. You get to see different types of fish in their marine environment. Some are bigger (or smaller) than previously thought. There are guides to explain what you are seeing and even pantomime guests to take pictures with. All in all, it was a pretty wonderfully family attraction

  • 5/5 PA P. 9 months ago on Google
Absolutely amazing day out. My shark obsessed partner had the time of his life. Even though part of it was down for maintenance there was still loads to look at, the tunnels and viewing areas for the shark tanks were amazing. We even got a great view of Pheonix the turtle which I loved. Will be returning.

Visited to see the live mermaid show. Loved the sea life displays, even the show was great. Really made my little girl (and wife) day. Only issue was too crowded which made the place too hot. Everyone walking around using the exhibition map as a fan. Prices in the shop and cafe were high too. But still a good family day out. Worth noting. We didn't know if we could get blue light discount for NHS, so we decided to pay at the door on the day. At least 50 people queue in the 'paid online or booked tickets' line. Where there was no one in the pay on the door line. We walked straight in. No issues. Seemed a bit backwards really.

Lovely place to visit! We used National Lottery tickets so it was half price. We only spent an hour in the centre so it would have been pricey for us full price

Rude receptionist! We arrived slightly late (4 mins past the official last entry time) for our pre booked visit due to being unable to find appropriate parking (we did call to say we would be late). Needed to beg the Receptionist to allow us in. She was unnecessarily rude. Anyhow, we proceeded upstairs and were met by a lovely chap who talked to us about starfish and crabs. We spend the next hour wandering round and enjoying the attraction. The little ones loved seeing the big fish, rays and sharks.

Great sea life with car parking right behind. Friendly staff and clean centre. We enjoyed the shark talk with Kyle this morning! Will definitely return!

Wonderful experience for my children as us adults, so much to learn and pretty interactive. When we went there was a mermaid there and my daughter was absolutely BUZZED!!! at the end we stopped for a bite to eat and there was a pirate show live which invited kids and adults to join in singing and dancing and playing along with the story
