As a family, we have been looking forward to our overnight stay at Blackpool for a little while! Upon arrival at the Penrhyn Hotel, we were greeted by two lovely people, we were invited in and instantly my children were impressed, especially by the Halloween decorations! This immediately told me that this hotel is considerate towards children. We were taken near the bar where we had a conversation with the owners, they were very knowledgeable about the local area and even suggested a few child friendly venues to check out during our stay. We were shown up to our room and it was a lovely little room. A bunk bed for the kids and a double for me and my husband, tv, toilet and shower. The room was nice and cosy and just about perfect for a great family night out. Once returning after a night out to see the lights, we were greeted by friendly faces again before we made our way up to our room and settled for the night. Where do I even start with breakfast!? We were all treated like royalty, we were given so many options, English breakfast, toast, Cereal, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice for the kids, fresh fruit and yoghurt all were offered to us with no limits! The kids loved the hotel and didn't want to come home (neither did I to be honest!) The location as well, one of the side streets just off the promenade. A few minutes walk to the tram station and you're off to the attractions! I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you have children.

Had a lovely overnight stay, we were on the top floor so, had great views of the tower. Room was spotlessly clean, we had a standard double room which was small but really comfortable. The hosts were great, really friendly & a mindful of information on places to eat & entertainment in general. Overall we can't honestly find fault with anything plus, a lovely filling breakfast to start our day. Thanks again for a lovely stay

An amazing hotel I went for a 1 night stay with my family we booked while there to go back in 4 weeks time. Breakfast was great full variety available and the hosts waited for you to be ready rather then rush everything onto the table. Rooms were spacious and well kept and throughly cleaned.

Very warm welcome on arrival from Caron and Laurie. Room a good size and clean , tea and coffee facilities , plus some biscuits and bottled water which was a nice touch .Good sized TV where you can actually see it ( sometimes they are mounted / placed off to one side but this was fine). Shower a bit snug for me but having said that I am 6'3" :) , good towels and a few bathroom products. We had the full English for breakfast and it was pretty damn good ! We managed to park right outside but there is street parking all over the nearby area. 3 min walk to the tram or 30 min walk into Blackpool centre. Taxi out of town in the evening was £ 6.75 . Both Caron and Laurie enjoy having a chat with their guests and offer advice and tips which is nice , definitely service with a smile and personal touch. Overall excellent value for money.

There is a sign in the bar that says " come as guests leave as friends". This is the perfect way to describe this B&B The owners are incredible, nothing is an effort or a problem and they certainly do anything they can to make your stay amazing. Breakfast is 5 star, freshly cooked to perfection. The rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. I try very hard to be fair on my reviews as I appreciate that this is people's livelihoods and even constructive criticism can indeed help. I struggle to find anything that I could say that would fall into this category. The owners have worked very hard in these testing times to maintain a viable busines. Where many establishments have raised prices. These guys went the other way. I wish them all the very best for the future and I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. I will certainly return. Thank you very much for an enjoyable stay

Our hosts couldn't be more helpful telling us about buses, trams, where to eat etc. Lovely room with everything we needed for our 2 nights. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Dont think you'll regret staying here.

Left a constructive review for this hotel on booking. com. Was horrified by the owners response. was told that we left our room very unhygienic and and in disgusting state. Keep in mind that we still haven't checked out at the time so host has no rights to complain whatsoever. Apparently chinese left overs on the plates was too much for an amazing Karen . When checking out all the rubbish was put away in bags and nothing was left behind. I worked in a hospitality for 4 years so trust me Karen I know what a messy and disgusting room looks like. Your so called cheap folding out chair was broken already when my son tried to sat on it. Just forgot to mention it at the time. Yes there are sockets in the room, but none near the bed, so you can't plug your phone in and use it while laying down. Mentioned no available parking spaces, was told that I was advised on tram tickets. Cheaper to pay 4 pounds parking in the town than tram tickets for 4 people. Bear in mind that owners are always in your face as well, you will have no privacy there. Just millions of questions every single time you come in. So avoid this place if you want a peaceful holiday.

Our 4th return visit at the Penrhyn, the owners, Lawrie and Karen giving us a warm welcome on arrival. Room was ready no problems clean and tidy . This B&B is great value for money with a cracking full English breakfast inc . It’s about 15 minutes walk from tower or trams stop at end of street for £6.00 per person, but that’s for 24hrs and you can get on and off as many times as you want. We like the location due to its in the quieter part of Blackpool and not in the town centre we’re all the bars and clubs are located ( NO SLEEP) …. There is also off street parking which is free, if you’re lucky you can get quite close to the B&B if not you usually find a space quite close. So in nutshell, if you want value for money cracking breakfast, great owners, nice clean rooms, free on street parking, NO loud music from the bars & clubs this is the place to stay 😁 Gary & Becky. ❤️

A lovely homely wee hotel in the King Edward Road up a the Cliffs area of Blackpool - lovely and quiet at this end. The tram stop is just a 2 min walk away. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Karen and Laurie husband and wife duo who were very friendly and helpful. We checked in and after settling up, we were asked what we'd like for breakfast the following morning. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were then given our key and directions to our room for the 2 nights we were staying. The double here room was clean, and very neat and tidy. The bed was very comfortable - a soft mattress which was perfect for sinking in to and didn't cause joint pains as I suffer mobility issues. There was a flat screen TV on the wall with access to YouTube, Netflix etc if you have your own log in details which we had, so we were able to watch from our own list. There was an en suite with sink, toilet and shower. Shower gel, face soap, facial wipes and liquid handsoap was all provided. Also towels were provided too! Thre was a kettle with a selections of hot drinks such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, with a selection of biscuits. Bottled water was also provided. Breakfast options are cereals, toast, yoghurt, fresh fruit and hot options; full English, scrambled eggs, and French toast (eggy bread) was provided for my 9yr old. All in all a fab budget hotel with a very warm welcome and Laurie is a fountain of knowledge on local amenities and attractions. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Booked earlier on in the year for the fireworks display. Didn't realise how far from the centre it actually was. To be fair, it was a short tram ride. But im used to staying central. The hosts were fantastic. The room was fair, but for the price breakfast included, I can't complain.

Love love love! Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, my sister and I came just for the night but they couldn’t be more accommodating if they tried! We genuinely felt like we were staying with relatives they were that welcoming. Even gave us a brolly when we went out because it was raining! Rooms were clean, tidy and had everything you needed. Breakfast was divine after a heavy night out! Definitely come here to stay again. Thank you so much xx

Very welcoming and friendly couple who runs the place, willing to help and make your stay comfortable. Their breakfast was excellent, not made from cheap stuff like most b&b. Warm and comfortable room. Would definitely stay if am in area again.

We booked the Penrhyn for one night to see a show in Blackpool. We visited a couple of days prior just to get our bearings and was greeted by the most lovely owners. In the bar area is a plaque saying Arrive as guests, leave as friend's. Most definately. Well Laurie and his wife know customer service through and through. Explaining rules, local area and the warmest welcome noting breakfast requirements and taking an interest in us as visitors. Shear quality service. Our room was on the 1st floor and clean warm and provided everything some well established hotels fail to offer. We had the most comfortable nights sleep for a while. Breakfas was of a good portion and choice. Bearing in mind this is there home and business combined,we will be reccommending the Penrhyn and revisiting even just to say Hello to new found friends. Super service and a good quality premises and couple . Thank you both Mike & Linda x

Very nice and the owner was warm and welcoming, couldn't offer enough for breakfast, no English fryup but she will make sausage butties. Rooms are immaculate, small as are most of the accommodation in Blackpool but you do get on-suite which is always a bonus. There is free parking outside on the street but does get busy. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the tram stop and beach. Close enough to be convenient but far enough that it's lovely and quite.

Just home today from ANOTHER stay at this outstanding bed and breakfast... But honestly, I would not go anywhere else. Why? Well why would I when it has everything including perfect rooms, a brilliant atmosphere, a bar, the best breakfast in Blackpool and above EVERYTHING else, two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet running it. I put my family's holiday into their very capable hands every single time now we plan to go to Blackpool- and if they have no availability- I change our entire holiday to a time when they have. THAT is how much I rate this place. Absolutely 100% recommend. Still 😁 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff are so friendly, helpful and down to earth, we all felt so welcome, and made to feel at home, rooms and hotel in general is spotless, nothings dated like other hotels, clean, foods lovely, beds comfortable, everything is well thought of. Every room is well stocked with essentials, and things you don't usually think of, everything to make your stay as nice as it can be, my children was also made to feel at home, and enjoyed everything too, will definitely be coming back again, highly recommend.
