๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Still a beautiful beach. Not been since I was a child. Forgot just how beautiful it is. The tower never fails to impress, along with all the sea front shops and amusement arcades. Nice to see joke shops still exist. A real pleasure to visit People often mention beach, Blackpool, good, sand, front, walk, shops, visit, lovely, time,

Lovely well kept beach. Life guards on duty but tide comes in very quickly. Beautiful sunsets if you're lucky

We visited Blackpool on Sunday 1st August I've not been to here in over 20 years, not much has really changed. The beach โ›ฑ was lovely a relief from the the arcades and promenade. We visited all the piers which are in need of an upgrade as looking very tired now as is alot of the building. I'm not complaining as we did have a good day but think Blackpool Council has to seriously invest in this seaside resort as its falling way behind other similar places.

Take a tram from Fleetwood to Blackpool and enjoy the Pleasure Beach or shopping in the town centre. A very friendly English NW coastal town, with loads of things to do for the whole family. Loads to do from playing on the slots, seeing a live show, enjoying the sea front to riding the roller coasters.

I am so glad that we didn't listen to all those who knocked Blackpool. We had a brilliant time. There is no end to the sights and sounds. We were very lucky with the weather so that helped. We will definitely be going back.

Look, we all know what to expect when it comes to Blackpool Beach. The waters brown, almost certainly not safe to go in. The sand is pretty awful, there is a constant.fpul smell, the poor donkeys don't look too happy etc etc etc. There are much better beaches, but Blackpool typically has the most things going on. There are some wonderful views to be had and the kids usually enjoy it.

Glorious day so first time we had been on the beach. Kids loved to play in the sand. Although beach was busy you didn't feel cramped or couldn't move as there was plenty space. Also kids went on donkey rides I didn't actually think still existed and it was only ยฃ4 per person which seemed so cheap. And the donkeys looked to be well fed and happy.

The Beach front walk has been improved over the years and it's now a nice walk. The promenade is paved and wide so is good for people with prams and wheelchairs. The beach has been cleaned up. Lots of investment has and continues to go into Blackpool which can only be a good thing. The shop front side of the road can get very busy and I would recommend keeping children close as it's easy to get split up . If you don't like the tat shops just cross to the beach front!

Blackpool gets a bad reputation of being a bit rundown however, apart from a few glitches throughout our very 1st stay their, we enjoyed it immensely, apart from the freezing windy weather, during the first few days. We picked up on the amount of places that were boarded up, due to closures, or, refurbishments. We stumbled upon "Andy", a blind busker, &, his guide dog, whilst finding our way around, playing an electric guitar. This guy is an amazing performer, &, seriously needs to go on 1 of our talent shows. He has even made c.ds that he's selling for a fiver. He is in the same spot, near to "Blakpool Shopping Mall', in all weathers, every day of the week.

It's an amazing place to visit. I went there with my family and friends, we had great time. Our children love the beach and the ice-cream ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ–๏ธ

In the right light, the right weather, with crowds & people everywhere, Blackpool beach is unmatched. We swam in the sea on our recent trip to Blackpool and the water was lovely. Little bit of rubbish here & there but that's to be expected at such a crowded resort. Waves were slight & the sand perfect, it was just a great experience. I recommend swimming near Central Pier as that's where a lot of the activity is & steps to sit on. Can't wait to go back. I fact I'm still here ๐Ÿ‘

The actual beach is lovely and clean. The regenerated prom area is really nice to walk along and the sand is nice for a bare-foot shuffle ๐Ÿ˜€โค๏ธ

The council has spent millions on the promenade and seafront in the last few years. The prom is wide, flat and with good disabled access. It's also good for cycling. especially at the north end. Traditional striped deckchairs are now available for beach hire too. The beach is clean and well kept. Lots of bars/coffee shops/burger/doughnut outlets close by.

Found it very peaceful when I reached there in the morning. It was not that sunny what I expected, but you have a saviour here, trams. Buy a day tickets for tram ๐ŸšŠ which is ยฃ6 for individual or ยฃ18 for a group of 5. You can enjoy the whole beach from one end to another by tram in rainy days. When you are at the beach โ›ฑ๏ธ you are tempted for the fish & and chips, but you can not eat it at stairs it's not because it is not allowed it is because of sea gulls they can carry your whole containers along with food. ๐Ÿ˜„ I also like their Pier, which was having 1 roller coaster on the edge of the sea. Love this place, honestly.

Caught Blackpool on a sunny day. A wonderful walk along the beach. You can do as many miles as one can do. Great looking out to sea and admiring the winter sun.

Great family day out, beware of the locals (jellyfish) on the beach and in the water but other than that so much fun for the kids. Plenty to do and everyoneโ€™s full of cheer!

Sunset on 21st June 2021. Photos taken from the promenade. Such a beautiful sight.

Amazing place. Loved it. Safe family fun. Blackpool Illuminations and the 3 piers amazing. I could stay for a week but I only had one day. So worth the drive. Stop in Preston on the way thru too. Gorgeous town Everyone I met was warm and friendly and there's plenty of parking if you get there in the afternoon. Stay for the beautiful sunset and then on come the lights. Go for a drive along the full beach front. There's so much more everywhere you look is something amazing. ๐Ÿคฉ Made this Aussie very happy ๐Ÿ˜if you're English and you've never been get up there asap while the glorious weather and sunsets are still around.

I love this ...I totally fell in love with this beach ...but I was Lil unlucky because when I went that day the weather was a little cool due to that I did not enjoy it but yes the view and the pleasure we can feel ...I took a hotel which was very near to this beach so the next day I again went and spent almost 2 hours with the beach sore ...again I want to go if I get a chance.

Beach โ›ฑ๏ธ is ok . Museum Madame Tussauds lovely ๐Ÿ˜. Water Park is awesome ๐Ÿคฉ However, there are few properties in the centre that look like disaster ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Had a stunning sunset view. Perfect for a sunny summer day. Plenty of things around for every age group. Ideal for families.

Over the years the beach and surrounding areas have vastly improved. When we visit we like to take our bikes and cycle along from the south pier right to the north pier. I canโ€™t comment on the cleanliness of the actual beach or the sea water as we donโ€™t go down there, but the pedestrianised areas which we cycle and walk on are always lovely and clean. Thereโ€™s several art installations along the way and lots of street vendors selling things from kites, to snow cones. If youโ€™re wanting to ride your bikes as a family, I would recommend it.

Visited for the illuminations and firework championship on the beach. So much to see and do, I think you need more than one day to see everything.

It's alright, plenty of fast food available, the pleasure beach is where to go for the rides. Depending where you park get prepared for lots of walking or use a tram or horse and carriage. The horse and carriage does cost ยฃ20, but can seat 4 people. Lots of amusement arcades, fish and chip shops, pubs to enjoy a drink, get yer palm read or watch a show in the evening . Good for stag and hen dooz. A nice sandy beech rather than shingles. Pleasure beech shuts autumn and winter. Plenty if hotels along the sea front.

Blackpool has always been a go-to place I have been visiting since I was a child. Now that I have children I like to share the experience with them. Blackpool over the years has sadly declined and it is clear to see if you look past the beach and tower. I still enjoy visiting but it desperately needs help and support to bring it back to the heights it once was. I will still continue to visit from time to time, purely for nostalgia.

Lovely beach to visit for a amazing walk along the coast if you want a change from walking down good old British pavements however we never had the chance to swim in it as the weather wasnโ€™t to great when we visited Blackpool but a lovely walk down to pleasure beach with easy access with steps, one of UKs many coasts to visit that we just donโ€™t take full advantage of as Londoners, at night times the place just comes alive once again and itโ€™s quite simply amazing to be apart of as everyone is out having fun. Unfortunately the only problem we had with this place is a lot of drug and alcohol users are usually plotted up in hidden locations under the stairs or by the sea which includes plenty of litter that some might not want there kids to be exposed to, not that anything bad happened but can get a bit uncomfortable for people visiting that ainโ€™t used to this kind of scenery.

Unfortunately Blackpool is still abit of a hole but a fun destination if you look past the run down town. Lots of events throughout the year and lots of arcades and stalls to fleece your hard earned cash ๐Ÿ˜†. The air show in particular is always a big event, and this year after a year off and on one of the hottest days of the year was superb

It's a nice place to visit, only let down here is the prices and all the rubbish people just dump on the beach.

It's not the Maldives but it's still a good day out. Our children had lots of fun when we visited a few weeks ago. There's plenty of steps to sit on if you're not keen on the sand and its close to all the arcades, cafes, toilets etc... I just wish people looked after it more or the council provided bigger bins. There was litter everywhere! Loads of people having picnics and leaving things behind :/ bins were over flowing on the bank holiday Monday

My favourite beach that I've visited. Lovely soft sand with shops close by for an ice cream or warm drink.

A good day/weekend away. Really enjoyable for the kids during the day, with plenty of cheap hotels and guest houses. Even better when the illuminations are on.

A good old fashion sea side town. Make lots of memories here Cheap and cheerful fun to have

  • 5/5 Paula H. 1 year ago on Google
Love Blackpool beach very clean and tidy, plenty of golden sand for any child to loose themselves in digging sand castles. Donkey rides too, piers are a lovely place to have a walk on, rides are a bit pricey so beware on that score.

not the blackpool i remember as a child along the prom on the sea front looks great & obviously a lot of money has been spent, however across the road where the arcades & shops are situated its a diffrent story a lot of money & work to make that side of the road more appealing hopefully it will get done in time as Blackpool was & always be the best seaside resort in England.

Didn't see much of the sand due to high tides which are spectacular when there's a good wind blowing but what I saw looked clean
