We had a nice dinner. Food was good and tasty, not great. We ordered drinks and tried a few apps. Apps came right away and drinks took a while. We also got the wrong appetizers, on top what we ordered. The restaurant was nice to say the wrong one was on the house. But it was a lot of food to start with. Service was just a tad off. However is not a reflection of food. Dinner portions are substantial. Save your appetite. Waiters don't fully explain the menu , which is not easy to follow . Inspite of all this, we still enjoyed our meal. Recommend a visit here.

I travel for work and eat all over the country. I've eaten at alot of really good places and Guacho's is one of the best. The offerings are unique and authentic but recognizable and well explained. Prices are moderate but quality and serving size EASILY outpace the bill. Family owned and operated, the owners have always been there working during my visits. The bartender was excellent and makes the best Caipirinha I've ever had. You haven't lived life until you've tried one. In a time when "good help is hard to find" Guacho's has an unfair surplus. The place was packed and everyone was helpful, friendly and efficient. But mostly it stands out that they smile and interact well with patrons. They actually look like they want to be there. Great food and incredible service. This review does not do Gauchos justice.

We always enjoy eating at Groucho's. Its expensive so its just for celebrations, but I could not imagine a better place to go for your money. The quality is through the roof! Its not often that I am willing to drop 100 on a dinner for two but Gaucho's is worth every penny. From the food to the atmosphere to the service its truly a fine dining experience! My husband got a la carte steak, sausage an zucchini and I got the steak estrogonouff both were out of this world delicious. Paired with some interesting drinks Gaucho's really makes for a meal to remember!

Blacksburg’s greatest hidden gem has so much to offer. The menu brings a taste of Brazil to the NRV. An unsuspecting staple in the roster of Blacksburg restaurants, Gaucho breeds a wonderful experience through amazing food, service, and atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Estrogonofe, which contains creamy beef stroganoff, the most delicious, salty rice I’ve ever tried, and super satisfying potato crisps. You will not regret visiting!!

First visit to Gaucho Brazilian Grille to celebrate my birthday with my husband and son. We absolutely loved the atmosphere. Food was fresh and delicious. The quality of service that we received was excellent. Definitely did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Will return in future when visiting Blacksburg. 😁

The food was good, but I can't say about service the same. Getting a water refill was a little difficult, and asking a question, the waitress went to check and never came back.

Excellent grilled meats. Sear was great as well as the doneness. Meats were great quality as well. Pricey but worth it.

I was a bit disappointed with this "Brazilian Restaurant". I love Brazilian Restaurants, for their great meat and great service. I ordered a picanha and ribeye steak. Both were undercooked and I had to send them back twice. The server's attitude could have been better, especially handling the undercooked meat. It's still probably the best Brazilian restaurant in a 100 mile radius... But also the only one. I won't be back.

Delicious!!! Family owned and run and you really can taste the love in the meal and preparation. Menu is a bit overwhelming at first but waiter was helpful snd I simply picked my protein and ordered a plate. Steak grilled to perfection, fresh greens salad, seasoned rice snd a black bean stew. Yum! Everything delicious! Tasted the chicken- wow! And plantains a must! Atmosphere clean, bright, new with air filters for environment. Drinks a bit pricy but oh so good and strong. Yes, I highly recommend! We will be back

Love the picanha steak, crunchy rice, plantains and garlic bread. Expensive but some of the best steak I’ve ever had and a great atmosphere for eating out

Only issue with this place is the slow service from the staff serving food. Food is really really good. Steaks are amazing, you can custom it really good with sides and other stuff. Ambience inside is pretty lit. Location of the place is a bit weird with not too many signs on where it is, have to rely on maps to guide you there.

Had an absolutely amazing dinner here! The menu is ALOT to take in but once you get your bearings, order fearlessly, it's ALL good. Had an appetizer, full course and drink. It's not cheap, but for the quantity and quality it is WELL worth the price of admission. Best tostones I've ever had!! The steak was top 5 I've ever had!

Love the ambience- quiet and calm. Good spot for romantic dining. The menu is little confusing. We had 4-5 chicken and pork dishes and everything was good. Their persimmon juice was good too. I don’t know the names of the dishes they put there. Over all I recommend this place. Our waitress was wonderful 🙂.

Great food, great service! The flavors were so amazing, I knew there must be real Brazilians in the kitchen. I was right! This husband wife team are the owners and the wife came to our table to personally welcome us. Nice experience.

Consistently some of the most flavorful and well seasoned food in town. I never hesitate to recommend this spot to folks and always enjoy my experience. Even when it’s busy I’m happy to see them doing business - get a drink and some tapas and settle in! Tonight I had a caipirinha, coxinha tapas with Chimichurri (stuffed fritter) and then a square meal with the chicken thighs, which is my go-to. Better parking than downtown and the wood fired grill right next to the dining room adds some nice ambiance. Quality, family run spot with from scratch cooking - a big win for Blacksburg.

If you want fresh food and not the half frozen pre-packaged stuff you get at the chain restaurants, this is the place to visit. It was my first experience with Brazilian food and I absolutely loved it. But it is not just about the food, everyone that works there was genuinely friendly and ready to answer all of my questions about the menu. Meat is cooked to order on the grill inside the restaurant and you can actually see it being prepared by the owner of the place. I do not know the names of the menu items I had but I know the appetizers I had came in threes in a basket with a choice of sauce. I liked them all, especially plantains and this one bite that he Gorgonzola in the middle of it. Salad was fresh in a homemade dressing, chicken was juicy and flavorful with a wonderful hint of open fire flame. I also had flan and churros which are all made there and taste delicious. I’m f you like coffee go for iced cinnamon coffee which will tickle your taste buds and be the perfect ending to your meal. Oh, and if you are legal to drink, don’t miss out on the cosmopolitan! Absolutely delightful with addition of Cointreau, maple syrup and slice of an orange. I would get it again and again. Been there twice and will be coming back again next time I am in Blacksburg.

Outstanding food! This is my first experience with Brazilian food outside of a churrasqueria and it was amazing. Service was also excellent (Thanks Matt!) The only downside was that the menu is a mess. It's like the written version of one of Charlie Brown's teachers talking. Big ups to Matt for helping us making sense of it.

Don't be fooled by the unimpressive storefront in a strip mall. This is food of the highest quality, and unlike anything I've ever tasted - and for a surprisingly reasonable price. Everything was delicious and full of layered flavors, including the Brazilian cocktails. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Food was good, and nice atmosphere. Our waiter needs a bit more training. Pricing not on point for this place, especially being in pretty much a strip mall. When your spending nearly $200 for dinner for 5 and they charge you $2 for ketchup is ridiculous. Fogo de Chao it isn’t. $9 for a pint of just ok beer. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Been here many times. The friendly owners are the cooks so it's very consistent. The food is excellent, if perhaps a little salty for our tastes. The menu is a giant multilingual jumble of words, so the easy way is to go straight to the Square Meals, or get the creamy estrogonofe with the terrific potato sticks, and pair it with a beto caipirinha. The steaks are a little expensive, but they are worth it.
