Rooms are clean and tidy and pleasant. Owner provides friendly service and takes care of the clientele. Not a 5-star hotel, but well-managed and a good stay. I will bring my family here when they come to visit in the future.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior which is clean but obviously older. Rooms here are spotless, comfortable, and updated. I recently did some plumbing work for the owner who called because a guest mentioned a tub drain being a little slow. When I arrived I found no issue with the drain. The owner could have left it at that with no charge but insisted on having it cleaned out anyway to make sure future guests of the room wouldn’t have any problems. This is something you rarely see when dealing directly with the owner but it is obvious that he and his family take a lot of pride in their business. You really couldn’t ask for nicer folks, and you won’t find a cleaner, better cared for room anywhere else.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Red Carpet Inn in Blacksburg, hosted by Harry, and it was an exceptional experience. When our original reservation elsewhere fell through due to overbooking just four days before our trip to Virginia Tech's game against Pitt, Harry and his family stepped in to save the day. From the moment we arrived, Harry's warm and welcoming hospitality made us feel like part of his extended family. Not only did Harry ensure our comfortable stay, but he also extended his kindness and care to my entire family and friend group who were in town for the game. It's rare to find someone so genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. The Red Carpet Inn itself was a cozy and inviting place to stay. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of cheering on our team. But what truly sets this inn apart is the personal touch Harry adds to the experience, turning it from a regular hotel to a hidden gem. If you're visiting Blacksburg and want more than just a place to stay, I wholeheartedly recommend the Red Carpet Inn. It's not just a place to rest; it's a place to feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you, Harry, for making our trip unforgettable. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Blacksburg.

We stayed for 4 nights at Red carpet inn and Harry and the family provided best services to us. They are passionate about their Inn and services they offer. We ordered bunch of items online and got them delivered to the Inn, Harry made sure the items were delivered to our room, yes total red carpet services! Thank you to Harry and Bina for your excellent service.

Harry was a wonderful host during my visit to VT. The rooms were clean and comfortable; it was a short drive and a pleasant walk to campus, and the staff was accommodating. I'm looking forward to my next stay!

Extremely nice staff. We arrived late, at 10pm. One of the first things he asked was did we eat. So precious! That's one of the first things my own mother would be concerned about after I just finished a long trip and came in late. The location is excellent. The rooms are dated but great for the price in this area. My son and I felt safe and I would stay here again.

I've stayed here twice while my son attended Virginia Tech. Having connecting rooms was a big plus. Harry was very accommodating and allowed us to book during parents week and also for my son's graduation when rooms were impossible to find. We were able to get adjoining rooms at a good rate even while most hotels were sold out or charging 600% of the normal rate. I will never forget Harry's kindness and hope to visit Harry and his family the next time I am in Blacksburg.

The owner is present and cares. EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. Wonderful friendly long time customers stay here. Thank you Harry. Wish I found this my daughter's freshman year not her senior one. This is a hidden gem

I’ve been to a lot of hotels with less than stellar service, but this place really stood out. The staff was very friendly and helpful, you can smell the cleanliness as soon as my spouse and I walked into the room. For the price, can’t beat.

I booked a room for two nights at this location. The owners were so kind, friendly, and proffesional. Their facilty was so clean, it was really amazing. Their prices are reasonable, and I would recommend this facility to everyone. If you would like a really clean room to stay in, this place is for you. 10 out of 10 stars.

A hidden gem in Blacksburg! Really!!!! I've stayed at Red Carpet Inn several times while visiting my son at VT. Some might think it looks dated from the road, but I can assure you that you will not meet a more caring owner who is dedicated to his customers. He takes great pride in the look and cleanliness of his business and is slowly making improvements (the new outdoor space and flowers looked lovely last time I visited). The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable. And you can't beat the location. There aren't a lot of excess ammenities, but I've never missed them. What I do appreciate is an owner who asks about my mother every time I stay with him (he met her only once), an owner who doesn't believe in price gouging on busy football or graduation weekends, an owner who works tirelessly and cares deeply about his business -- and an owner who is committed to maintaining a safe environment for his guests. I hesitated writing a review because I didn't want it to become so popular that I couldn't get a reservation, but Harry and the Red Carpet Inn are just too good to be missed.

Hidden gem for sure. Wasn’t expecting a nice stay at all but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. Mattress were very comfy and clean with very nice sheets, room and bathroom were extremely clean and smelled great, and the staff treated us like family. It was so refreshing to experience such kindness from owners who clearly care so much about the quality of their hotel and their guests. Even offered to drive us to the stadium for a game. Overall, great experience and would 100% stay again!

Excellent accommodations. The owner is friendly, hospitable, and takes pride in his business. I am always beyond satisfied whenever I stay at Red Carpet Inn. The rooms are always exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well sized. The environment is quiet, right on the bus route, and within short walking distance to several great local restaurants and other amenities. I’m very happy with the service, cleanliness, and value of this hotel.

We consider the Red Carpet Inn our "home away from home". When severe weather threatens the area we live in (2 hours from Blacksburg where I am employed) we call and request a room. While the Red Carpet Inn is not new or fancy, it is always clean, quiet and conveniently located and we can count on a good nights sleep. The staff truly make us feel welcome. They are good honest delightful people.

This place is tiny and old. But nothing but credits to the owner/operators. The place is clean, the rooms neat and cared for. Instant service when the remote didn't work. I can't and won't complain one bit! Save the dollars and stay here. And say hello to the owners. Their a nice hard working family.

My daughter and I stayed here for the Blacksburg Softball Super Regional. Harry was warm and welcoming. He was very friendly. This is a no frills hotel but it absolutely one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The owners take such pride in their place and it shows. He even welcomed us back a second night at a cheaper rate than what was available online. We will definitely stay here again, should we find ourselves back in Blacksburg Thanks Again Harry for being so kind..

I have been staying here for over 20 years for every Virginia Tech home football game. Harry and his staff are very friendly and accomodating. He knows most of his guests as most of us are repeat customers. He always asks about our families. The hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and all rooms include TV, refrigerator, and microwave. Last weekend, I walked out and forgot my laptop and some papers I had been working on. Harry called my cell phone immediately upon finding it to let me know I had left it and he had secured it. He shipped it to me and I had it the next day. That is outstanding customer service and that is why I stay there. The prices are reasonable. This is the best kept secret in Blacksburg-don't tell anybody else!! LOL!!

I have stayed several times at this hotel, with close proximity to Virginia Tech and have such wonderful personal service from the family running this hotel. They are extremely helpful and friendly, giving good advice for local places to eat, as well as good attention to service. A great place to stay!

i had a job interview in blacksburg, and needed a place to stay. i heard many many positive reviews and comments regarding the red carpet inn, their prices, and about harry in particular, especially from my friends that are currently at virginia tech, so i figured why not give them a try? right from the beginning, i was greeted with an absolute warm welcome and a "it's late in the afternoon! i hope you ate a nice lunch!" from the man at the front desk, who later on i discovered was harry himself. check in process was very nice and speedy, and i got a room on the ground floor as i requested. he was even nice enough to help me with my bags and bring them with me to my room for me! the room was very clean and very comfortable, especially the beds, i had a very good sleep that night. throughout the day, i was even checked on a few times via phone and was asked if there was anything i needed. if you're in blacksburg and need a place to stay, red carpet inn and harry have just the place for you to stay!

Best kept secret in Blacksburg. Extremely clean, comfortable and most importantly affordable accommodations. Less than .5 miles from Our Daily Bread. Mattresses seemed new, super comfortable. Room featured fridge with separate freezer, and microwave. Great hosts. Family run local business. Don’t overlook this gem.

All we need for a football game weekend. Clean, nice refrigerator with a freezer in the room as well as a microwave. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Large TV, desk area and vanity area outside the bathroom. There is a porch area where we pre-gamed a bit. You can walk to the stadium... get your steps in. Owner and wife very friendly and always available to you for any of your needs. Good coffee in the morning too. We will stay again.

Harry and staff are so pleasant and caring. From check-in through checkout they are respectful and generous. The motel is aging and dated but the staff maintain what they have with pride and care. The beds and bedding appear new and upgraded. Making it a great place for resting. I will be staying here again when there's vacancy.

Great location near Virginia Tech and downtown Blacksburg. Management and staff have all been very kind, helpful and available whenever I have needed them. The rooms are nice and clean with basic amenities such as a microwave, mini fridge, wi-fi, flatscreen with cable etc. I have stayed at the Red Carpet several times now, usually during the week and it has always been nice and quiet. Great value for the money and I would definitely recommend!
