***warning stay away!**** This place is NOT a regular inexpensive motel. It is not anywhere near the quality of a motel 6. We were in the room for 10 minutes before leaving. My husband and I were so uncomfortable and put off we didn't even complain, we just got a room at the Semiahmoo Resort (closest place that wasn't a crack den) and were so happy to feel safe. To begin with it looked "off" when we drove up. Bikes and other non-motel objects were in windows and locked to railings. The curtains in all the room windows were different. Our door didn't open, we had to get the front desk woman to help us (apparently you need to know the trick?). Inside it smelled like someone had smoked in there for 10 years and they tried to cover it up with the strongest floral room deodorizer ever. The lamp shades still had the plastic on but we're obviously 30 years old. the walls were paper thin. Everything felt dirty, not simply old, but dirty. I felt like we would have bed bugs if we stayed there. We didn't even look in the bathroom. the lights hardly lit the room and one of them flickered. It felt very post-apocalyptic. The motel was $75, the resort 15 minutes down the road was $129. As far as value per dollar, you couldn't have paid me $75 to stay at the bay side motor inn, I WOULD have paid $250 to stay at the resort if that is what they charged. I also would have slept in my car if I had to choose between the motel and the car. We thought it would save boarder crossing time to be nearby in the morning...worst idea ever! When I returned the key in the morning I explained why we hadn't stayed and I asked if they would like to give us a refund. The Man at the desk seemed unconcerned and explained to me that people always compliment how nice the rooms are. I can't imagine ANYONE saying that. I am also shocked that he was unconcerned that the motel was so dirty and scary that we paid AGAIN to stay at another place. I have never even thought of doing such a thing before. Truly a traumatizing experience.

Dose not deserve the one star. Absolutely never stay here. So dirty. Horrible management. Monthly prices are over 1000$ and nothing worked in the room. It was so dirty and smelled. The air makes you sick. If you are wanting a place to ever stay do not make it here. This place should be demolished;!!

Good location along the coast, and just a short walk to the Peace Arch border. Area is quiet and calm. Staff were extremely friendly (even when I called at a very inconvenient time). Checking in and out was a breeze. The room and was well stocked. The linens were also clean and debris-free. Overall a very pleasant experience, and will definitely stay here if I visit Blaine again.

We had reserved a room at the Anchor Inn, and found when we arrived in Blaine, they had messed up our reservation and did not have the double queen room we had reserved. They said all they had was a room with a king size, and wanted to charge us more for a that room than the one we had reserved. That was not suitable for our party to we went to The Bayside Motor Inn a block away. We went to the Bayside Motor Inn and were in an awful hurry as we had to get to the airport in Vancouver, BC to pick up a dependent passenger arriving at 10pm. Patti was on the desk, booked us into a room quickly, was very pleasant, very easy to deal with and got us checked in, in record time so i could leave for the airport. The room was clean, tidy, not fancy at all; but but had wonderful memory foam mattresses and pillows and clean soft linens and bedspreads; and was quiet and cool. Cassie was also on staff, very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. We had a bit of an issue getting locked out of the room and no one at the front desk or on the phone to help us get in early the next morning. There is a push lock on the door that prevents entry with a key; but no sign explaining that to motel guests, and we inadvertently locked ourselves out for several hours in the morning. Patti gave us a late check-out to apologize. The staff does housekeeing duties at another motel nearby apparently, so they were very good given the circumstances and what is expected of them by the management; but they need a beeper or cell phone if they have to work off the premises in another motel nearby - management's fault though not Patti or Cassie. Patti and Cassie were so nice and helpful and kind we would return to stay, but there needs to be a sign in the rooms NOT to use the doorknob push-lock! I would completely avoid The Anchor Inn and the Northwoods Motel in Blaine.

The worst motel I have ever stepped foot in. There were pee stains on the mattress, it smelled awful, the pictures show how disgusting it is. I went to the office and got my money back and went over to the Anchor Inn.

I would not recommend staying here! Very old and out dated not very clean or nice on the inside of the rooms. Bathroom has a crappy paint job and stinks! The lobby smells of cigarette smoke.

Would not recommend staying here, it was the worst motel I have a ever stayed at! The room was outdated and dirty. The bed was hard, not comfortable and felt dirty (we didn't even get under the sheets). We noticed when the toilet was flushed it backed up into the kitchenette sink (totally disgusting). I don't usually write reviews but don't want someone else to pay to stay here without knowing what they are getting themselves into. I know we will never come back! This place doesn't even deserve the one star!!!

The Sheets had nasty spots on them, our room smelled like wet dog and Body Odor, Towels were super thin, there was no place to park.

My "star" rating system is not related to the general hotel rating. When we qualify a product or a service, we generally use a reference point. In this case I use my previous night motel stay in a facility few blocks away where I paid exact the same price but got few times lesser quality. This place gave me a good experience, when combined with a walk at the nearby ocean park, it was worth every penny. Can sense the care for quality even this is an old building. At least they put effort to keep it up to the standard. Clean and quiet. You might get annoyed by the seagulls, but consider that you are next to the ocean. Good neighborhood. Shower works well, better than in the average hotels.

Clean room, King sized bed, tv, free WiFi, microwave, etc. Didn't have shampoo, but there was soap. They are pet friendly. The view in this area is really nice and the place is nice and cozy.

Older hotel with cosmetic problems with paint and wallpaper but for price and location I was happy. The room was clean the bed was nice. I will stay here again.

You NEED to do something about your tenants who continue to leave their trash and belongings sprawled outside along the street. They own both the red SUV and green SUV and every other week they leave an immense amount of trash outside in overflowing trailers and just laying on the ground. You know who I am referring to because you have scolded them for leaving things lying directly outside of their apartment. Please, please do something.
