I highly recommend visiting while in Belgium. The history of this building and the area is fascinating. The owner is very passionate about explaining every room. There are interactive displays and an iPad with additional information available. The beer and local liqueur and also fantastic. Service was very quick and the snacks were great. The house is small so it can fill up quickly, stay and make sure you take a look around.

Spent a couple of hours in Blankenberge so popped in. A fascinating cafe-cum-museum in an old fisherman's cottage. On arrival you order what you want (we only stopped for a coffee), you're given an i-pad presentation of the history of the house and then you're free to wander round. We were thankful that Peter, the owner, spoke English. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to tell us really interesting details about the place and the objects it contained. It was great coffee too.

Very warm and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended for a unique local experience. The owner is warm, cheerful and enthusiastic about telling every interesting detail of this hundreds of years old ancestral house. We didn't need to book a table and found an interesting tiny space where everything was well organised to the minute details. Unique things to see - the kitchen, old pulley system to serve drinks, old paintings. Things to try- kervel pintje.

You feel like a sailor who is about to set sail. The entire interior is equipped with all sorts of things that have to do with the sea. It is quite cramped inside. A charming little museum/café.

It's a very nice place to visit, if you want to have a look at the history of Blankenberge. This small house resembles the life of the fisherman from the past very good. The people are very friendly.

Beautiful unusual fishing house museum in the most random of places! The owner was so enthusiastic, so keen for us to learn the history. A real gem, wish we could have stayed longer.

We were impressed with the owner, who was very helpful, and enthusiastic about local history. We learned a lot and had excellent coffee at a good price. The building is both beautiful and very interesting. The owners have taken great care to show their love of the place and welcome guests.

At first sight there is not much to do or see, but the longer you are there, the more you discover. The owner is a very passionate speaker , but even the tables have their stories to tell. Sit down, relax and take a trip in history.

Excellent historical fishermans house with a small bar/cafe. Various historical artifacts related to the town and fishermen. Admission included in cost of a drink. Well worth a visit.

Perfect! Cozy!! A must visit if in Bruge or around. I really liked this place. It's small original museum of the oldest fisherman in Belgium. Is also very nice to see small house in a street compering it to what is around. It is also a restorant! I had a lovely, tasty, really home made soup. While eating owner told a story about a house and also showed photos of fisherman story. Food is not too expensive so definitely worth to eat or at least snack. Also buy a fridge magnet to support this wonderful place.

😠 After coming to this beach for the last few years, today will be the last time we will ever come here. We had to listen to loud music that some other people were listening to. We asked them to turn it down but they refused, then we asked a beach attendant to tell them to turn it down. The attendant’...
