This was our second stay at Ermitage and we loved it even more! The staff is amazing and made our stay wonderful. Special thank you to Marc-André, Lorenzo, Salvatore, Momo and the waitress who brought me sparkling water at the bar (I couldn’t see her name tag unfortunately). We will definitely come back as Ermitage has a special place in our heart.

This hotel is simply splendid. The quality of the place and the location is superb. The hotel and the rooms are tastefully decorated and the spa is just incredible and clearly worth a visit. In terms of gastronomy, the breakfast/brunch is very qualitative with a great choice and very good local food. The evening menu is a little less qualitative but it remains correct. Not to be missed if you like exceptional places and enjoy moments of relaxation in an exceptional spa.

Wow what an incredible experience staying at L'Ermitage was. Whilst the facilities and services available are incredible as everyone says...It truly is the people that will bring you back. One person in particular, was our waiter Enzo who provided incredible hospitality, knowledge on the different foods and wine pairings. The hotel even buy and use his family's olive oil (how amazing!). We looked forward to seeing him and Andrew Gasly, the host, every night after our hikes! Other people I would like to mention that made our stay so special are Dario, Jose, Karina, Mikaela and Racquelle. Food - I eat a vegan diet was nervous the full board wouldn't be suitable - the cooking team cooked me up meals with grilled tofu, and "feta" style cheese (thank you Anton!) And, thank you to Eveline who provided such gentle support on the last day when we had a minor accident. I am looking forward to returning and until I do, I will tell everyone else about it.

We spent a couple of nights here last year and weren't particularly fond of the kitchen. Gave it another chance this year, and have to say: brilliant! Everything we didn't like last time was different, and so much better. The suites are fantastic, breakfast options are vast and cover each and every wish, the lunch buffet and afternoon cake selection are great. Staff is nothing short of ingenious, we'd especially like to mention the Sommelier Mr. Grässli, who seems to be sort of the heart and soul, Vincenzo and Stella from the service crew who enlightened our stay every time we crossed their ways, Leonora who was responsible for the housekeeping on our floor and took attention to every detail, as well as of course the entire team at the reception. Can't remember all the names unfortunately, so please bear with us. Really everyone here is giving everything to make you feel not at home but in a really special place 😉 Massages were also stunning, notably from Michaela and Monika. Best anti-stress massage I ever had, thank you! Of course a stay here is no bargain, but considering all the services you get, let alone the unique location and surroundings, it's really worth it (if you're into mountains and luxury, that is). If we really had to find anything to improve: It would really help if the salad dressings at the buffet at lunch and dinner had a label/sign. There is always a choice of 2 to 4 dressings, but what they are is a matter of wild guessing (which left me with a strange banana-dressing on my salad one evening, yikes). For dog-owners: this is THE place to go! Your furry little friend is more than welcome here, our pooch was enjoying his stay so much, he's rather depressed to be at home again 🤣

I was only a guest at the spa, but it was fantastic. When I went there were almost no other people there at all, which made the experience fantastic. The warm salt water pool was quite relaxing and had nice jets, the fresh water pool was nice as well, but not what I was there for. They had many different saunas to pick from, and all of them were extremely high end and luxurious. Obviously I do not have any images of the saunas as there are no phones allowed.

Second time hear and a five star rating is too little for such beauty!!! Extremely kind staff, perfectly clean, amazing SPA with pool, perfect food and a breathtaking panoramic view to the mountains! Looking forward to come back!!

Unbeatable luxury hotel with amazing pool with jets overlooking the mountains. The bar is made of Swarovski crystals and the fine dining is exquisite. Highly recommend. Picturesque walks nearby & such a cosy and relaxing vibe.

Overall, a great place to stay!!!! Cozy, with special attention to its SPA services. The views are fantastic, the service is remarkable, the afternoon cake time is yummy, the proximity and overlooking the village is a great advantage! The rooms are quite small in size, but at least FULLY EQUIPPED ! Mainly we had a nice stay but some red flags disappointed us for a 5* hotel Pros : - The wellness area is amazing, never went to a spa that big - The bed is very confortable - Food is good Cons : - Everything is in German in the spa. I don’t understand how an hotel that big is audacious enough to not give the instruction in English - an 5* hotel should give you the possibility to make some tea in the room, and if not it is the restaurant who deliver the service for free. Here it is CHF 18 for 2 herbal tea … - Some of the staff are far away to be welcoming and tend to be a bit rude

Definitely 5☆ Food is a culinary delight. Every need is met. The pools and spa perfecto!

Classic German wellness hotel near Gstaad with the most welcoming and lovely staff. An amazing spot with incredible service.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Die Parkmöglichkeiten waren perfekt. Der Empfang und die Führung durch das Hotel waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit unser Zimmer war eine kleine Suite: es war blitzblank sauber, die Einrichtung wunderschön und der Balkon super. Das Essen und das Buffet waren bis auf einen Abend top. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein paar negative Punkte: Das Zimmer war viel zu warm das ein Schlafen kaum möglich war, die Zimmer sind für drn Preis hellhörig. Unser erstes Abendessen war nicht gut und die Pasta total versalzen das war wirklich schade. Das Wellness Angebot ist spitze! Wir kommen aber trotz dem Essen gerne wieder!!

Wir hatten 3 Nächte gebucht und waren rundum zufrieden. Bereits der Empfang war sehr herzlich und somit fühlten wir uns sofort wohl. Nach einem geführten Rundgang durch das Hotel, wurden wir zu unserem Zimmer gebracht. Das Zimmer sowie das Badezimmer war tiptop sauber und auch hier fühlten wir uns sofort wohl! Der Wellness-Bereich ist sehr modern und sauber. Hier verbringt man gerne Zeit! Das kulinarische Angebot war spitzenklasse. Frisch und einfallsreich präsentierten sich die jeweiligen Mahlzeiten. Hier steckt viel Arbeit und Engagement dahinter, was wir hautnah bei einem "Blick hinter die Kulissen" (besser gesagt, Blick in die Küche; beim so genannten Chef's table) miterleben durften. Es wäre nicht fair, einelne Mitarbeiter speziell zu erwähnen, denn in diesem Haus hatten wir wirklich das Gefühl, dass jede und jeder sein Bestes gibt, damit man sich als Gast wohl fühlt. Euch allen ein grosses Danke und macht bitte weiter so, damit wir das nächste Mal auch wieder so schöne Tage bei euch verbringen können!

An amazing service, very kind and thoughtful staff that’s always ready to help. The rooms were very clean, the view from the balcony is just incredible. A cute little gym, good pool and a great sauna with a panoramic window. Enjoyed the floating bed in a quiet room with headphones and classical music. Also really liked the smell of the soap they have, a small detail but very nice. Recommend!

Very disappointed with this place. The staff are nice, but a few of them at the reception are rude. We had to pay 100 CHF upon leaving and the change was 29 CHF. The lady at the reception assumed we don't need change. We had to mention it 3 times to her that we need our change back (she had assumed this is tip for her). A couple of times the staff would help us and stay waiting for a tip. I think granting someone tips should be up to us. We felt forced to give the staff tips as they would stare weirdly or simply not give us our change back. So so bad and would not come back here again!!

Wonderful hotel with an amazing spa. Very good service and restaurant 😋
