My wife and I recently stayed at The Marlborough as part of our honeymoon trip in New Zealand. This bed and breakfast is amazing. The staff is so nice and highly accommodating (shout out to Angela and Rob). The rooms are very nice, the restaurant has really good food, and the estate is beautiful which includes a garden, pond, vineyard, pool, and outdoor fire pit. The location is also quite close to the vineyards around Marlborough. If you are ever in this part of New Zealand, I certainly recommend visiting The Marlborough to enjoy a very fine experience.

Outstanding accommodation with amazing views and fantastic food, the lamb shoulder was full of wonderful flavours, although the hugest shoulder which we couldn’t finish, delicious.

(Would rate 4.5 if I could. Now known as Harvest Restaurant) They've just reopened with new staff and new menu but we were impressed. My grilled butterfish was 10/10. Husband's steak was 8/10. (Could have done with more char on that charcoal oven) Wonderful atmosphere and gorgeous surroundings. Friendly, personalised service and very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely garden setting Refined dining, meal sizes as expected. A lovely Old building in large garden setting, not too far out of Blenheim. Attentive staff. Meals are of high quality and plenty of flavour. Doesn't matter how you want your steak cooked, you will get it as cheif decides. This establishment is at the upper end of the Marlborough offering. Meal price is very reasonable for the setting.

The lodge is a beautiful restored building with gardens to match. We did not stay just had dinner. The food was a good standard and service attentive, it lacked the finesse of fine dinning, whilst the meal was nice, a side choice of silver beat, salad and or chips was not what I would expect with fine dinning. There was an extensive list of drinks available, prices high but not outrageous, The meal was also on the high side of pricing, again we expected this, however when paying these high prices we also expect a level of service and a menu reflective of a high end restaurant.

Central location in the Marlborough area, beautiful grounds that include gardens, ponds, a creek, and of course a vineyard. The food is exquisite at The Harvest restaurant, the staff give great personal service and atmosphere perfectly relaxing.

We recently stayed at this stunning boutique hotel and would rate higher than 5/5 if possible. Only 10 guest rooms and in a great location close to all the vineyards. Gorgeous comfortable rooms with a huge bathroom and extra comfy beds. From the friendly and helpful staff who checked us in, Rob the GM and the delightful Grace who served us breakfast nothing we asked for was any trouble….a big thank you! The Canapés served by the amazing Chef Wieland at 6pm each night in the cute Chapel with a bar were delicious. We very much enjoyed all our meals throughout our stay. Wieland coming into the dining room at dinner and checking with each table that they were enjoying their meal was a really lovely touch. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

Well manicured garden. Restaraunt had friendly service. Food was good but not great. Didn't see the rooms.

We stayed here for three nights in late October and had a superb time. Great location adjacent to several Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, and close to multiple great Marlborough wineries. The grounds are well-laid out, with multiple spaces to walk through or just sit to enjoy the mature woods and stream. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the front lawn and Harvest Restaurant. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Several of the windows were stained glass, kept over from the structure's initial days as a convent. That's a story in itself -- it was moved here from another location, and they're happy to show you the pictures of the huge effort required to move it. The restaurant is VERY popular with locals and tourists, so reservations are essential (if you're a guest, as long as they know you're coming that evening they'll hold a table). It's popular for good reason: the cuisine is excellent. Angela, an owner and GM, took excellent care of us, responding quickly to a short-notice request for a wine guide on a holiday. She and her team were really focused on providing a great Marlborough experience, and the culinary team deserves special kudos for their efforts (there appeared to be five chefs in the kitchen and presentations were exceptional). They also have their own wine label, which you can taste during your evening cocktails and canapes. Bottles are also for sale for takeaway, too. I'd highly recommend The Marlborough for its quality, location, staff and architectural aspects.
