We
stayed
here
for
three
nights
in
late
October
and
had
a
superb
time.
Great
location
adjacent
to
several
Sauvignon
Blanc
vineyards,
and
close
to
multiple
great
Marlborough
wineries.
The
grounds
are
well-laid
out,
with
multiple
spaces
to
walk
through
or
just
sit
to
enjoy
the
mature
woods
and
stream.
Our
room
was
on
the
second
floor
and
overlooked
the
front
lawn
and
Harvest
Restaurant.
The
room
was
nicely
appointed
and
comfortable.
Several
of
the
windows
were
stained
glass,
kept
over
from
the
structure's
initial
days
as
a
convent.
That's
a
story
in
itself
--
it
was
moved
here
from
another
location,
and
they're
happy
to
show
you
the
pictures
of
the
huge
effort
required
to
move
it.
The
restaurant
is
VERY
popular
with
locals
and
tourists,
so
reservations
are
essential
(if
you're
a
guest,
as
long
as
they
know
you're
coming
that
evening
they'll
hold
a
table).
It's
popular
for
good
reason:
the
cuisine
is
excellent.
Angela,
an
owner
and
GM,
took
excellent
care
of
us,
responding
quickly
to
a
short-notice
request
for
a
wine
guide
on
a
holiday.
She
and
her
team
were
really
focused
on
providing
a
great
Marlborough
experience,
and
the
culinary
team
deserves
special
kudos
for
their
efforts
(there
appeared
to
be
five
chefs
in
the
kitchen
and
presentations
were
exceptional).
They
also
have
their
own
wine
label,
which
you
can
taste
during
your
evening
cocktails
and
canapes.
Bottles
are
also
for
sale
for
takeaway,
too.
I'd
highly
recommend
The
Marlborough
for
its
quality,
location,
staff
and
architectural
aspects.
