Very short hike to the Devil's table, but it is uphill and several flights of stairs. There are trails surrounding the area, but we only went as far as the Devil's Kitchen then turned around. There is a parking lot at the beginning of the trail, but it can get full quickly. We ended up having to park downhill and walk up. There is a playground close to the parking lot, but it was closed off when we went. However, there is a small play area with sand in front of the restaurant, which was also closed. Kid friendly hike. My 2 year old had no problem navigating the stairs, but we did put him in the hiking carrier once we reached the Devil's Table and continued with the hike.

Beautiful rock formation. Free. A lot of paths to hike. No restroom around or open stores. We saw only one small shop with cool old stuff, that's all. There is a huge kids slide, but closed now.

This hike is very short (and fairly steep) from the parking lot. There are trails that extend past Devil's Table if you want to keep hiking. There are boulders surrounding Devil's Table that kids and adults were climbing and playing on. There is a nice path on the way up but then there are stairs to get up to the rocks. We went on a Sunday with perfect weather and it was definitely busy, but still worth it. We went back in May 2022. We ate at the Biergarten at the bottom while the kids played at the park. The park behind the Biergarten is SO fun!

Visited in may during pandemic restrictions: beautiful stone arrangement, short walk from the parking lot, good for families with kids, you can also take a longer hiking route with lots of sights

It was a very short hike up and tons of parking provided. (They do have a parking meter and it only takes euro) The park at the entrance was closed due to Covid. Besides that, once on top, the views are exceptional. My kids did get bored fairly quickly, so we snapped some photos, had some snacks and left. It was still worth seeing and I’m so glad we stopped here.

Picturesque. We traveled from Kaiserslautern to Hinterwiedenthal via train. And then hiked our way upto to this beauty. It was probably a bad decision to wash my hair a day before, but it gets really windy with flying sand near the monument. We could not find any cafe's near by but this small village is just gorgeous to be at.

Nice routes to get to the top, from a short option with parking spaces to round trip hiking ways up to approx. 10 kilometers. Nice view and a great little escape from the regular routine.

Exceptional natural monument. The whole region consits of red sandstone, which is washed away easily by wind and rain. But this rock formation is different to the other rocks in the region - it's higher, it consists of various parts which seem to be piled up and balanced. From the parking it's a short walk uphill to the stone formation. Up there you can walk around the rocks and enjoy the view. About 200m away, you can see the hell's kitchen, another, smaller rock formation. So, get some picknick stuff, friends and dog and enjoy a good afternoon there.

Great little hike to a cool rock formation. It was easy for our four year old to hike up and there's a park to play at down below as well.

Very special and spectacular! It’s so amazing how the natural made this giant β€ž table β€ž and keeps its own perfect balance!

This is a beautiful place to hike. The Devil's Table is really interesting. My kids loved coming here. There are quite a few steps but its not a problem. There is a fantastic playground here with a huge slide. The hike to the devil's table doesn't take very long, but there are a lot of hiking trails in the area if you want to go further.

It's worth checking out if you're in the area. Nice playground nearby if you have young kids.

We got there at 8:40am, and the carpark opens are 9:00. It's a short (though trying) climb but if you get there early enough you get it all to yourself. There seems to be a wheelchair accessible path. The visit was free asides from parking, which I believe was very cheap, and from what I could understand from the giftshop person, the giftshop/ restaurant opens are about 10:30. There are public toilets once the wheelchair accessible path opens. Lovely woodland surround, and though the rock has been vandalised, it was great. A good view from the top. An odd but neat bench on the way up.

Wheelchair accessible but it would be some work to push to the view point and you may not be able to go around it. Really nice hike with some playgrounds and mini golf near the parking. The view points and the table itself are really beautiful.

Easy hike to the top, several trails to choose from. There is a nice playarea for the kid's especially the long slide which is equally exciting for the adults.

Only a small amount of money to pay for the parking, ideal for hikers and with kids

Great area to go hike, play, or enjoy the nature. The trails are plenty and with alot of stuff to see. Once you are done you can grab a quick bite to eat or something refreshing to drink down at the cafes.

You can see this from the highway but it’s better to see it up close! what a wonder!

One of my favorite hikes in the area. A mixture of complexities with great rock formations.

Really nice place, short walk to the spot. Also an option for a lovely path in the forest. Big play ground for kids. Good for families

Easy 700m hike from the parking-lot, and definitely worth seeing. There are also longer hike trails to choose from.
