From the moment you enter the property your senses are overwhelmed by amazing indigenous flora, precious birdlife and the smells of lavender and fresh grasses. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and interesting with all forms of art placed strategically for your viewing pleasure. The service was outstanding, friendly and professional. This is such a peace filled and leisurely environment. From the moment you drive in, you can sense that the proprietors have very intentionally crafted an experience that is designed to help you relax and unwind. I loved the olive plantation and the cattle as you drive in. This definitely helped to break the feeling of being in a city. A lovely location and venue.

A real hidden treasure- the gardens and decor are just so wonderfully curated. The indigenous gardens are textural and colourful attracting a wide range of birds and butterflies. The rooms are compact but more than adequate for a short stay. They are tastefully and comfortably finished making them feel luxurious and inviting. Worth noting, the bedroom/bathroom is open plan which may be a consideration.

What a special place! The gardens and grounds were stunning and filed with wildlife and birdsong. Such a treat to have a refreshing dip in the pool whilst enjoying the surroundings. The reception/dinning area were beautiful and a great space to enjoy the delightful breakfast and the room was equally lovely and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - as a solo traveller from the UK even a short tour of the local area was provided to make the most of my trip! A must stay if you are in the area. My only complaint is that my stay was too short!

This is our home away from home in Bloemfontein. The Management and staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I add the pictures of the sunset this past Thursday, as this is the perfect picture to describe our lovely stay.

Once you enter the property, it really feels like a sanctuary. Covered in trees and plants. The bedroom are comfortable - no furniture is look alike but all harmonized well. Staff are friendly and considerate, they are attention to detail. I choose vegetarian option for breakfast and they baked scones just for us! Really sweet. The swimming pool is great for midnight dip. One of the best part was sitting by The Wall under the stars. The light shines to the brick wall mural that has different words in English and Afrikaans, it bring so much peace just looking at it. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful place, extremely helpful hosts, lovely modern, spacious, very cozy rooms filled with natural light, spectacular garden, delicious breakfast and coffee! Delicate and unique design that blends with the natural environment. Lots of lovely and practical details for travellers - spacious bathrooms, comfy beds, coffee making facilities and a microwave oven, fresh fruit from the farm. One of the best lodgings out there.

Wow wow and just wow! Myself and my son went there for a few nights and it was just absolutely lovely. The rooms were gorgeous, people and staff friendly. The small finer details to make you feel at home and special. It was so amazing and peaceful there as well, haven’t slept so well away from home. A very big thank you to all of you there for the wonderful hospitality! Will definitely be back!

I enjoyed the privilege of staying for two nights thanks to a friend who booked me due to his doctoral inauguration. The name “Liedjiesbos” is most accurate, thanks to the choir of birds 🐦 🎶 😃My room was spacious with a bathroom that provided the option for bathing or showering. I appreciated the finer touches such as mebos and biscuits, coffee machine and quality soap and body cream. The indigenous garden is a feast for the eyes and whilst I did not swim due to the rain, it looked inviting. Joyce, a member of staff, is most helpful and the gift shop ensured I walked away with Christmas purchases. I Thank you!

What a wonderful stopover location! Personal service, free coffee on arrival. A lot of art and beautiful decor, in all the rooms. Attention to detail everywhere. Fireplace and warm electric blankets, with crisp linen, in our unit. We had a kitchen with Nespresso coffeemaker. A home from home. Wish we could have stayed longer.

What a delightful place! So tranquil, beautiful decor and scenary. I enjoyed the chirping birds, watching the frogs diving into the pond, the luscious food garden, the vast variety of indigenous plants and the endless rows of olive trees. There is literally something in every corner! And there are awesome collectable items you can buy in the reception area, as well as their distinctive hand lotion and body wash. It has a spicy, woody scent, so homey, warm and reminiscent. The room I stayed in was cozy, unpretentious and clean. The attention to detail had me in awe. The staff was hospitable and very friendly. I absolutely loved the lemon verbena tea! So crisp and refreshing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away for a few days. You'll leave renewed and revived.

Little gem out of town. Overnight at Liedjiesbos on our way to Rosenville. We were welcomed by Tsego when we parked at reception. She took us to our room and explain everything to us. While we went to go and parked the car in our parking spot next to our room, Tsego surprised us with complimentary cheesecake and cupacinos. The room is well equipped with al the basics you will need. Comfortable beds and good quility linen there was an electric blanked fit to the bed for the cold nights. The bathroom is lovely with a very nice stone basin. We like the welcoming letter with the olive branch on top of the letter. The place have a beautiful garden and a nice shop.

It is a magical, special place where the word hospitality is being redefined every day. The atmosphere is tranquil and restfull rejuvinating the weariest of travellers. The natural beauty of the garden and olive groves is finely complimented by a very interesting art collection, highlighting the very best of what South African art is offering. Every small detail and comfort is well thought out and presented in a modern, yet eclectic style, that truly enchantes the most demanding of guests. You do not even have to leave the premises to do some shopping. For the wine lover a selection of excellent wines is also available. Breakfast is a veritable feast and a wonderfull cup of coffee is always readily available. I visit for work, but leave as a friend, well rested and thoroughly spoiled. Well wort a visit.
