We booked and paid for a specific room almost 2 months before our attempted stay. On arrival they apparently have a self check in system, whereupon we discovered that we were allocated a different room, which didn’t meet our needs. They only have one room which met our needs. When we called to ask what the problem was, we were told that the current guests in this Love room had extended their stay and thus we were being allocated the smaller (cheaper) room, again not fit for purpose. They were not prepared to move the guests in our room. All we were offered was apologies and offers to assist booking accommodation elsewhere, none which met our needs. So after a long day of driving with a child and a toddler, all of us tired and irritable, we had to spend an hour ringing around frantically trying to find a suitable place to stay, which we eventually did at Monte Bello. To say that we were upset and disappointed is an understatement. Why could they not have let us know beforehand? Then we had to struggle to get a refund, which we eventually got. Shame on you Figberry.

The rooms are stunning, clean and modern. They smell delicious and are well equipped. We had power outage and generator kicked in. Close to a lovely shopping centre for food and supplies. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Nice Guesthouse situated on the outskirts of Bloemfontein. Quite , Tranquil & Cozy . Great Value for money. We booked here as a stop over on our trip to Cape Town, & I would recommend this place as a resting leg of your trip. Rooms equipped with WiFi & AirConditioning. Friendly Staff & Well Kept gardens around the house. Kids also have a play area.

Had the most wonderful stay at figberry. Rooms are top class, well decorated and super clean. Room even had a nespresso machine! Crisp linnen and very comfortable bed. Safe parking behind gates. Easy check in and check out procedures. Shout out to jono for helping us with our trailer.

This accommodation can win prizes for how stylish and well-designed it is! Very impressive indeed! We stopped over for one night only, but could have stayed longer. It felt like such a treat...comfortable beds, wonderful shower and delightful decor. Lovely host too! Will gladly stop here again.

We always stay here on our way back from Cape Town to Middelburg. All the rooms are so beautiful and clean. They have a braai outside which is perfect to relax after a day on the road. You will enjoy your stay at Figberry!!!

Well equipped and clean rooms, six sleeper has small kitchenette. Although not far out of town it is quite dark driving in the surrounding area at night. Close to the N1. Pet friendly but pets stay in the room, so keep in mind if you'd like to go out during your stay. All round very pleasant experience.

Tranquil neat and clean. Perfect stopover. The best breakfast and amazing people.

Lovely, peaceful setting, a little way from town so you feel like you are in the country. If you are just stopping for the night on the road I would suggest buying food at your last stop to heat up (there is a microwave in the room) when you get there. Secured parking gave us such peace of mind as we had a car full of stuff.

Figberry Guardhouse is just Beautiful. Each room is uniquely styled with such attention to detail. We had a magical stay on route back from the Eastern Cape. I would HIGHLY recommend this guesthouse. Carmen’s attention to detail and personal touch was like home away from home. Thank you again for such a lovely stay.

We arrived, it was cold & wanted to braai. Offered indoor braai area, provided meat packs, made salad, braaibroodjies & set the table. Play area, big lawn & swimmingpool where children can run & play. Rooms tastefully decorated. Eveything provided for self catering. Highly recommended for weary travellers, peaceful safe & quiet.

Great place to stop over for the night in Bloem. Clean and quiet and the room had aircon which is a bonus in summer. Just note that very few restaurants deliver to the accommodation, but there are plenty of options within 10 to 15min of the accommodation.

Lovely place to stop over! The area is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and ours had a kettle, fridge and microwave. The rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard, that our little dog really enjoyed sniffing around. We were particularly impressed by their COVID procedures, which gave us a lot of comfort. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family, and stopping there again.

Stunning rooms, beautiful, quiet environment. Loved the fact that this beautiful accommodation is not in the centre of town.
