What a lovely place to run, walk and cycle

My choice in trailrunning training heaven, right in the heart of Bloemfontein. Ideal for hiking, family walks, picnics, mountain biking photography, bird watching and generally enjoying nature right at our fingertips.

A great place to go hiking, biking or taking the dogs for a walk, conveniently located in the city, so you don't have to drive far. The trails are clear and easy to navigate. The trees down at the dam are beautiful and a wonderful place to go for a picnic.

Simply love taking put doggies there for walks. Its beautiful sightings make it a must visit!

Beautiful spot in Bloemfontein to have a picnic, have a relaxing walk or get some exercise in. The yearly price of getting in is very affordable but the system allows many persons without a code to enter, causing the premise to become quite busy in the afternoon. The premise is large and features many walking routes and benches to sit and take in the sights. We regular here a lot these days and have no intention of stopping anytime soon.

Favorite place to be in Bloem!

I really had a very enjoyable time. Went there for a walk with my family and the dogs. Very peaceful. The dogs were free to go for a swim and were exhausted when we got home. Such a pitty to hear from the locals that they are in a dispute to develop the land.

A great place in the heart of Bloemfontein to get some outdoor exercise such as trail running, mountain biking, or walking. Nature lovers will enjoy the various vegetation communities such as the precious Bloemfontein Karroid Shrubland, Grasslands, wetlands, and woody shrublands, which house multiple faunas.

Beautiful natural landscape BUT beware before signing up: The Christo Groenewald gate is exclusively reserved for residence of the Wild Olive Estate (WOE) due to a financial agreement between Sewe Damme conservancy and the management of WOE. So even if you stay within the immediate vicinity of the gate but not within WOE, you will not be able to access the conservancy from the Christo Groenewald gate once you pay to become a member.

Loved it! Real outdoors within the city boundaries. I have lived in Bloem for 12 years and finally went for a walk! Will be going again.

Not a bad place, but you cannot go alone. Also, be careful to take a dog with you, because some people let their dogs run loose and it can cause some problems.

Very pretty and clean.

Love walking here with our dog. We don't even live in Bloem but we became members just so that we can walk here with our dog when we travel through Bloem. Lovely safe off-leash area /for well behaved and socialised dogs) and a variety of well-maintained bridges and pathways and occasional benches. Take water!
