This gym is a joke. It has been overcrowded for months with not enough equipment to service all members who come during peak hours. They finally acquired new squat racks which alleviated the problem, but just posted signs saying that during peak hours they are reserved for members who pay for the extra alpha class.

Used to be an amazing gym. Though they changed 1 of the basketball courts into a Pickle Ball court… terrible decision. Hardly anyone plays compared to when it was a basketball court. Been annoyed with the “upgrades” over the past few years… I would argue that this gym was a BETTER gym 10 years ago than it is now. We may cancel 🤷‍♂️

Definitely not worth the membership costs. Almost all the equipment for strength training needs to be replaced and need to add more within the empty space. Literally has one strength training machine for each work out and they're old and musty. Even some of the cardio equipment is old and should be replaced since the membership dues are so expensive. Just saw the basketball court memo where it's closed for guests several hours of the day. You should probably discount your membership if you're not going to be open 24 hours and take away different parts of the gym to get additional revenue at the expense of your guests time. At this point I would not recommend anyone to join. Maybe 20 years ago at $60 a month this would have been a good deal since everything was new. Now it's double the price for less hours and equipment that's 10 to 20 years old.

I highly wouldn’t recommend this gym to any serious weightlifting bodybuilders. People on the floor love to complain if they see you break a sweat. Basically a bunch of Karen’s on Vegan diets looking to complain if they see you working hard. Pattie in Management who doesn’t know how to communicate with her community. Susie Decoste who scams her clients in the hair salon. For the price you pay your better off going somewhere else where you can mind your business.

BEWARE: Do not join this gym! The staff are incredibly irresponsible for what they communicate in person vs over the phone. Context: I had spoken to a staff member at Lifetime about setting up a one month membership. Knowing I was moving the next month, I explicitly noted this. I then signed up over the app for this one month per the staff members recommendation. I then canceled online knowing I was leaving soon and they said I could not cancel for 30 days. When all staff are not on the same page and one says misinformation this happens. I then spoke with the location, then to corporate, then back to the location. Through my conversations with the location, they noted how this is my fault and were not taking responsibility for their own staff. This is a management issue, do not sign up for this gym or listen to what their own staff are communicating.

I was robbed in this lifetime. The owner Jason showed no remorse for the incident. They allowed a nonmember to enter the gym. He is a danger to my kids and my family in here. Several people got robbed 10/04/23 . I was robbed for over 17,000 dollars and a omega watch Lifetime refused to pay this having to sue them. I would be very careful in this gym as it happens a lot and they do not care. The pretended to help just to have. A month pass and tell me they are not liable after they literally left a guy inside the building that is not a member. I have picture sod police report and guy. I would not come to this gym or trust in having my kids come here. They do not care at all. Read their clauses it all on you. A premium gym worse than L.A. fitness Huge premiums for no security.

Not only is this gym overcrowded. A staff member of this gym that sees me here many times with my kids and boyfriend went out of her way to message my boyfriend on social media to ask him on a date. And admitted to seeing him around the gym with us. He’s My now ex boyfriend & only came to this gym WITH me. So she clearly knew he was in a relationship. V and her father both work for lifetime. I can’t make this stuff up. Lol

Lifetime has made the arbitrary decision without a member survey (at least I didn't see one) to take away one of the basketball courts for pickle ball. Since they installed the pickle ball court pickle ball participation has been mediocre at best. There are plenty of other areas in lifetime that they could have installed pickleball courts with such low participation. As a 15 year loyal member Im considering canceling my membership

After being a member for over 10 years - would not recommend. Terrible new management running the lifetime brand into the ground. Save yourself the time and money and go workout at a private gym or a comparable commercial gym for half the price.

It’s a good gym but why are you guys still charging $80 and *not* open 24/7? You guys don’t even offer the 2 big rooms anymore and close it off just so you don’t have to setup which seems lazy coming from a high reputable gym. *edit: seen they don’t really care how many reviews they get on the #1 complaint of not being open 24/7…especially considering its 2022 and nothing has been done. Xsport is OPEN 24/7 and cheaper so will be changing gyms. Lifetime really has nothing different to offer so it’s just like la fitness at this point.

I wanted to write this review to praise one of the massage therapists Noel! Being in the personal training profession I was able to inform her of all my problem areas and she was able to show me a few stretches and also identified other areas I can work on to help address the issues I was having! This was my first positive experience in a long time and wanted to give a shout-out to her! Please recognize her in any way possible!

This club is not cool. Whatever locker rooms issues they are having, far as remodeling. I just finished my workout an wanted to use the family locker room to shower so I can go to work because then mens shower is not working. They refuse to let me in, what's the point of me being a loyal member. I'm not gonna say the whole staff but they pick an choose who they want to be nice with. So now I have to go to a hotel to get a room just so I can take a shower. This is ridiculous and I'm very upset I have to pay for a membership and can't use a available shower. But if I was another another race or someone else, they would have let me use the shower in the family room.

I froze my membership during the winter because I wasnt going as much for a few reasons. One huge reason was that this club still hasnt gone back to 24 hour operations. We are now in May 2022 and I just heard from a friend who goes to this club that apparently there is no plan to return to 24 hour operation. What am I paying so much for if one of the most appealing features that made me sign up is not there anymore. I have expressed my concerns on this before and the sales staff really just tries to divert your attention and frustration. Im on the fence if I even want to unfreeze my membership at this point and just cancel instead. This place is a joke.

Overall I like the gym. I enjoy taking the classes. Otherwise I don’t really have time to enjoy any other parts of the gym because I’m a mom of two young children and run on a tight schedule. One time my 2 year old was in the child care center (I love all the instructors / teachers there) but this one incident left an impression. My son was bit and no one told me about until I got home and bathed him to find a huge bite mark on his wrist. They are supposed to alert you to incidents like this when they happen. I had to call (no response), email 3 times (no response) and finally go back into the childcare to raise my concerns. I was hesitant on bringing him back because I don’t want him being hurt by other kids. I understand kids are kids. I’m just glad the bite didn’t break skin. And just would appreciate being told if there is an incident instead of finding out by inspecting his body.

This gym is no longer 24/7, the staff are lazy and gym equipment is outdated or broken. I used to love this gym. Will be canceling my membership and join xsports insted

Lifetime Bloomingdale used to be clean and a great spot 10 years ago. Weigh room is out dated. Machines are always broke. You slip and slide on the outdated flooring. Not worth the membership cost no more. Sad sad

I have been coming to this gym for awhile and it’s great! I play badminton and I would love to see if there would be something for that one day, since not many other places have the proper nets for the game :)

Very nice people they're glad when you walk in they actually say hello to you good experience good equipment and very considerate customers also not like the one in Schaumburg the Schaumburg one is kind of low class it's gone downhill mostly just with the people and there's a few employees that are overrated they think they're all that but they're not get realistic it's just a gym it's not rocket science

Best gym in the area. I went using my friends guest pass. I like the pools, but if they have the aquatic sound bath, that would be awesome! I will definitely become a member if they have that Service. I mean nowadays you can do most of the exercises at home. If they can add some value to their pools, it's a way to attract health aware customers. Great if shower room can be cleaned more frequently.

Love this gym, been wanting to join it and was finally able, absolutely no regrets on this decision. Staff is friendly and kind. Front desk is always so sweet specially the older lady with pink hair (can’t remember her name) love seeing her. Paul the trainer is awesome, always greets me with a big smile. Piera & all the other yoga and Pilates instructors are amazing, I love joining their classes. I did Arora aqua for the first time and the instructor was Angela and wow! I just gotta say my inner child was so happy that I took this class with her. My son enjoys playing basketball and working out here as well. Facilities are clean & the environment is enjoyable. Definitely worth it.

This LT location is really great. The employees keep the gym clean, safe, and fun. The amenities are great and pay for themselves. Now that the outdoor pool is open there’s even more to do and more fun to be had. 5/5 would recommend this gym over others in the area.

My experience is pretty good. It would be nice if the drinking fountains by the indoor pool area were updated. Both fountains are rusty and the water never gets cold. Not pleasant at all.

I’ve been a Lifetime member for years but haven’t been to this location in a while. The only, really negative thing I have to say is about their bathrooms. Way too few for way too many people. Two urinals and two toilets for the entire locker room and when they’re available, they’re usually gross. Not sure why such a huge, prestige gym would have such poor bathroom facilities. Please add better restrooms. Other minor complaint - prices in the food area seem to increase and are outrageous for what you get. I’ll never spend a dollar on food/ drinks/ smoothies. Although I’m a member of Lifetime’s highest level membership and can afford it, as we all probably can, it’s the principle behind it. If the prices were reasonable, I’d get myself a smoothie every single day. I will say that the bathroom issues and food prices are the same across all locations - whether it’s at the Bloomingdale, Vernon Hills, Oakbrook, wherever. I’m writing about Bloomingdale today because I accidentally walked into a stall that wasn’t locked and found a man sitting on the toilet just cutting his toenails. He remained in there for about another ten minutes while men gathered to use the bathroom. Other than that - nice gym. I love the pool and hot tubs. A+ in these two areas. To Lifetime - I highly doubt you’ll make the food/ drink/ smoothie prices more reasonable, even though membership fees continue to go up, but please fix your bathroom situations.

Coming here from last 15 years great place for work out but missing 24 hours timings. Started $50 PM now paying $80 which is still not bad.

I love working out here is a nice gym, however, my two starts go towards the cleanliness of this facility. The ladies bathroom are usually dirty , they smell bad because they are not clean as much. The disposal boxes for tampons are always full they are coming out of the box. Sometimes is difficult to find disinfectant spray in my workout area and not as clean as it was before. Is expensive, so please keep it clean for us.

I originally went to planet fitness and my friend told me about this gym. It’s a big change! You have a lot more machines here and everyone is super friendly. It’s more expensive than planet fitness but worth it. And if you decide to go for a personal trainer go to Troy! He’s amazing and will help you achieve the goal you want.

Never leave your child who is under 1 years old to there daycare. For the First time I ended up staying and talked with the daycare lady and telling her how I’m pregnant and all too so this is a great help even if it’s for 20 mins because they always call me in 20 minutes. I was thinking maybe she is growing up and she knows people now. But for the first time I saw how kids are over there. Literally hit my the lid of the blocks straight to my daughters head. Funny thing I understand the girl is 2 years old who hit her but the lady telling me that she didn’t even see it hither and then trying to convince me that I thought it went on the side . no honey it was straight at her and her forehead was red. She have her 5 years old son there too who came and was very hands on started tapping my head. The lady should have handle the situation better instead of convincing me that oh it nothing. When my daughter is crying and her forehead is red. Again I never stay there always have left after dropping her off. But today I noted how they ladies are like can you take her and she was feeling it. When anyone leaves their child to any daycare they want their child to be taken care off. There was no one there just that 2 years old girl was there. This should be a rule how can you have 11 months with 2 years and 5 years old. I wasn’t feeling safe after how that 2 years old girl throwing toying at my daughter and then she throw it at me too. Infants should be handle with care and not just be ok with other kids hitting them. What happened today made me cancel my daycare for her. I’m glad I stayed and saw what really happens there.
