Great donuts at a cozy yet modern interior. It has a bit of the 70s retro feel but they pull it off in a contemporary way. The store is on the 2nd floor of the City Center plaza that is connected to the Marriott. It's sad to see most storefront empty or shut down but Cardigan is running strong. The donuts are fresh and soft. They pull off all the fundamental types well: the old fashioned, cake, as well as the glazed. With great dough, you really can't go wrong regardless of the format. The donuts themselves are not too sweet which is awesome. And yes, those with the bacon bits on top somehow meld well with the rest of the cream and bread. Overall, an all-rounder A-level shop. I wouldn't consider this the absolute very best donuts. But definitely 5 stars based on price, atmosphere, and the value they provide.

Heard the donuts is hands down one of the best . So, we purposely drove there to try it. Have a good first impression. As you can see all the beautiful and variety display donuts shown in the pictures. Customers service is not good. We picked 5 different types of donuts. The lady who packed is horrible. Packed and stacked all the donuts in one paper bags. We order these donuts in sequence…Blueberries donuts, Apple Toasted Old Fashion, Glazed donut, Cream Filled Bismak, and lastly an Old Fashioned donut. The lady just packed all these in one bag. Seriously? No thinking and care for the customer at all? Once I opened the bag, all the beautiful donuts look like trash and messy and smashed. Really unappetizing. How do you expect me to share with someone or give to someone? I should have taken pictures of the mashed donuts. Is this what I get after paying for such expensive donuts? Such a not caring how the customer see the donut. Worth for the trip to there? NOPE Worth for the price? NOPE

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. I was staying nearby. First day they had 2 different types of vanilla frosted donuts. I was going to get the denser ones until I saw the big fluffy ones and I asked what they were and the server said those are our fluffier ones. Wow so good. Great choice. Wish I bought 2. Went back the next day and they only had the dense ones. I asked about the fluffier ones and she said these were the fluffiest ones they had. Well they weren’t… but she was super nice so I wasn’t going to argue with her. So I just got glazed. They weren’t bad but not the same. I also wish you didn’t have to walk through a maze of an indoor mall to find this place. Be better if they were located out on a street storefront.

Great prices and the best donuts in the area. The old fashion donuts are definitely my favorite. Their creations are unique and the staff is super friendly. Get the donut holes as they will melt in your mouth.

Truly the best donuts I have ever eaten. I can’t eat any other old fashioned donuts because I just compare them to Cardigan Donuts old fashioned 😅 I’m moving to another country soon and wish I could take the whole store with me. Visit here if you love great quality donuts!!

Really great place with plenty of donut options. We took Vanilla Cream Coconut Bar Donut and Butterscotch Latte. The donut was really good with lightly sweet cream and non-chewy dough. I was really surprised with the latte which went well with the donut. We would definitely visit again!

Delicious donuts, even the one that I had left two days later still tasted fresh and delicious. Fun selection and the free coffee with two donuts is a nice touch. For anyone unfamiliar with its location, it is on the 2nd floor of the shopping center inside the Marriott. Took us a minute to figure out where in the building it was but the effort was worth it.

Wow! One of my favorite donut shops now after my first time here and I LOVED the coffee cake donut the most! I also really liked the chocolate iced sprinkled cake donut and the caramel delight. They had four pans of donuts left when I arrived in the mid afternoon, but still plenty of variety which I appreciated a lot. The place was very clean and the barista/ cashier did an excellent job making my drink and was very friendly and welcoming. I’ve already recommended this place to multiple friends and relatives!

Visiting from Texas we came across this Jewel. The service was outstanding everyone was so friendly. And the donuts just melt in your mouth you can taste the Love

I have been meaning to try Cardigan Donuts for quite some time, but every time I am about to order, I stop myself. Today I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a dozen for delivery, and oh man am I happy I did. So far I've tried the caramel delight, and the pumpkin pie old fashioned, both of which were absolutely stupendous! The apple pie and apple fritter/cinnamon sugar ones are beautiful looking, and the basic raised glazed/glazed old fashioned/boston cream donuts looks remarkable as well. These may be the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I'm really impressed. It's a bit pricey (roughly $29 for a dozen donuts), but you get what you pay for, so I thought it was totally worth it. I strongly suggest giving them a try, and I will definitely order again (just not too often or I'll get even fatter than I already am!!).

Super light yeasted donut(raised bar) with a soft flour+sugar+milk frosting holding the abundance of sprinkles. Standard old fashion (sour cream) has the perfect hint of tang and is well balanced with moistness and sweetness. Monday special seems hard to refuse (free coffee with 2 donut purchase).

Very quiet in the morning with amazing, fresh donuts (super large selection too!). Both novelty and classic options. Maybe the most amazing latte I've ever had in a long time with the most amazing, fluffy foam

Placed an online order with ease and the staff were incredibly friendly when I picked it up. Their store is quite spacious with modern aesthetics which I enjoyed. Plenty of space for dining inside and so many different donut flavor varieties. The pumpkin pie cruller was absolutely divine! Every other donut I got for my family was also delicious, and we plan to come again when in Minneapolis.

A friend recommended this donut shop when we visited the Twin Cities, and man, am I glad we checked them out. Their cake donuts were some of the most moist and flavorful we have ever had. Their coffee was also perfectly made. It's a good thing I don't live near by or I would buy a half dozen weekly.

I love this place! The donuts are all spectacular. The staff are really friendly. I’ve only had the drip coffee but it was good, and I love that there’s a bar to add your own lil flavorings to your cup (see photo).

Cardigan has my favorite donut in Minnesota (their old fashioned). It's a must try! They also catered donuts to our recent wedding and made it super easy. They delivered the donuts straight to our venue and added them to our donut wall. So many guests commented on how good the donuts were! Highly recommend visiting them or their delivery/catering options.

Truly wonderful donuts, and oatmeal bowls. We come here every time we visit Minneapolis, and will continue to do so as long as we are able. I love the Birthday donut with it's chocolate filling and chocolate frosting - sweet, but not too sweet. Oh how I wish they were closer! (I'm from Madison WI)

Excellent assortment for my birthday! (Thanks mom) even a long john with the text "happy birthday"the fresh, airy, filling, and flavor was all perfect i going to have to make my own stop out there soon. My personal favorite has to be the jelly filled iced roll!

Jake was unbelievably kind and helpful. He is engaging and very knowledgeable of the menu and baking process. Any business would be lucky to have him as an employee. The maple bars are the best I’ve ever had and the glazed donuts are excellent as well.
