I was excited to share a theater experience with my daughter who is home from college on spring break, and so when I learned that the 25th anniversary of Chicago the Musical was at IU Auditorium, it fit the bill. I had not been to a show at this venue before and willl not go back. The parking experience really overrides everything else. You have to park very far away, and especially if the weather is not good, it is not walkable. They do provide bus shuttles from the parking garages to the theater. Let’s talk about that. Getting from the parking to theater was not a direct route but included a few stops and so it took 15-20 minutes to go what should have taken 5. Plan to go well in advance of your start time. But the worst part was getting back to the parking garage after the show. We had to wait outside in freezing weather in a very long line of people for about a half hour while we waited for a bus. Any warm feelings I had from watching the show were completely gone by this point. So not worth it. The show itself was good - Chicago is a classic after all. That is l, the part of it I was able to see. I paid for floor level Orchestra level seats - section A, row 14, seats 9 and 10. But I could not see the left half of the stage, where it seemed much of the action occurred. Next time I want to see a production like this, it will not be here.

Lolz it's an auditorium. If you're giving auditoriums 5-star reviews, you need to get out more 😊

Loved the acoustics. Plenty of refreshments. A Shuttle came quickly to pick us up and drop us off. The BLK VLN is a must see!

Comfortable, mid-size venue for seeing various productions. My only complaint is that acoustics make make it difficult to hear solos against a full orchestra, especially for those artists with relatively weaker voices or those at extremely high ranges (sopranos and first tenors). Acoustics are better after renovations. The building itself, built during the FDR era, houses historic Thomas Hart Benton murals, works of Regionalism Indiana commissioned for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair.

Attending a show at the IU Auditorium is always enjoyable. They offer free parking at two parking garages with shuttle services to and from the auditorium. The shuttles run very often, and there are helpers at each stop. Once at the auditorium, their are plenty of ushers to help you find your seat or anything else you may need. The acoustics are great. We have seen concerts, stage plays, and stand up comedy, and they all sound very good.

Terrific place to see a show, right in the middle of the most beautiful campus in the world. Saw Justin Willman and he was fantastic.

The theater is amazing, and the shuttle buses for the parking lots were wonderful. My only concern is that there isn't an easy way to get to the seating if you have difficulty with stairs. There are ample seating arrangements for wheelchair patrons, but far too many stairs for people who are not wheelchair bound.

Great experience! The events here are so professional and perfect each time. The staffing is very knowledgeable on processes and help the entire way if you are unfamiliar. There is limited parking outside the auditorium, but most visitors take the IU shuttle. Info on their webpage. Arrive a but early to get seating and go through concessions.

Very nice auditorium. We drove from central Ohio to see Ray Lamontagne. I would deffinatly drive to watch another concert/musician there. Very easy to park and the concession prices were very good compared to arenas ive been to. This place has some very awesome acoustics. My advice would be to get seats in the center of the auditorium. Great sound.

Great place to hold graduation events. Could use more signage to easily locate the entrance due it's location from the parking garage. I had trouble finding the exact entrance.

Where do I start? Erin and Maria were the best to work with last weekend for a wedding! I couldn't have described or imagined two better people to work with at the venue as they were 200% amazing. The entire staff was friendly, punctual, accommodating and overall a joy to work with. For weddings they truly understand that all vendors are apart of a team and they are there to assist as anything arrises they can help with. The Hall of Murals is so breathtaking as well! Having your wedding here and with this team is a dream come true. Thank you again for all of your help and being amazing to work with last weekend! -Dom Designs by Dom LLC

Very great experience. We went for Straight No Chaser. Great show and the sound was great. The auditorium was gorgeous and very comfortable. The staff at the event was amazing and when we had an issue they resolved it quickly and even gave us a free concession. I didn't ask for it but it was so kind of the staff. The paintings inside and overall decor was top notch. I'd go back for another show for sure.

Nice atmosphere. Refreshments were high way robbery. 5 dollars for standard bottle of water. Absolutely ridiculous.

Saw Ron White here during his final tour and it was great! Seating was nice, I was up in the orchestra pit. Parking was easy, entry easy. Only thing that could have been better was the food selection but I wouldn’t let that affect me returning to see other shows here.
