Great workout options but paying the extra per month if you are interested in tanning or red light, save your money. The beds literally do nothing. They said the bulbs were changed “a month ago” but they are either fibbing or the beds are junk. Red light booth is too weak as well. I’ve done red light other places and the Blue Springs booth isn’t right. I’m more than happy to pay extra for red light and tanning but they need to work properly. I think I’m going down to the basic membership and go somewhere else to tan. UPDATE: So the reply from PF is to "visit another location"...REALLY??? Wouldn't it be better for EVERYONE to FIX the issue since I joined the one closest to me and is why I go there? I should not have to go to another location! That is a very ridiculous reply and I will just cancel my membership all together. Also, maybe the responder/owner(?) should "reach out to the management team with the concerns"? And actually, I have...that is when I was told "they were changed about a month ago", so they don't care either. Just lost a member.

Used to be nice until they decided to let high school students work out for free. The place is crowded and I can’t get access to the machines I normally could. Also, they let people come in with dogs. The customer wasn’t blind but they allowed it. Seriously!?!? Management needs to acquire standards and consideration for paying customers.

The most confusing hours. I assume this mean: 24 hr Monday-Thursday Friday till 9 And 7-7 Saturday and Sunday? Literally the worst hours our of and PF I've been to and I travel all over the country. Very disappointed, but overall disappointed in this whole city. Cheap fuel and cigs... that's about it.

I like the atmosphere here, lots of tv's and channels if you want to watch while on a treadmill. I like the circuit machine area...it's a good spot to get a full 30-minute body workout. I feel like there are enough machines for the people. My only complaint is there are never enough free weights. It always seems to be crowded and I end up skipping.

Getting accosted because my mask is down when transferring to a new workout...really people, Planet Fitness has lost another membership due to their nonsensical policies.

The manager at this location is incredibly rude, flat out lied to my face and told me she was unable to put me in a tanning bed without having the bar code on my phone through the app. I explained to her that I was in a hurry, I did not have the app downloaded and asked her she could put me in a tanning bed for the time being. She repeated over and over that there was no way for her do that, that if I did not have the app or my phone I would not be tanning. After this happened, I called 5 other locations to “fact check” this, and they all were very friendly and told me that they could put me into a tanning bed with or without the barcode on the app. Her name was “Lisa” and this wasn’t my first unpleasant experience with her. Dealing with people like her makes me not even want to come to this location.

I was asked to leave to gym for not wearing a mask. I had forgotten my mask as I drove a different vehicle than I normally drive. When I came in the gym I placed my shirt over my nose and mouth. Marcus then told me to leave or purchase a mask. I just walked off as to not verbally fight. He then called his manager Lisa who told him to escalate the situation and call the cops. The cops came and after a lengthy conversation, they left. I stayed and completed my workout. When I came back a few days later to discuss the issue with Lisa and ask for a little customer service, she accused me of several things and then begrudgingly rolled her eyes as she snarkily apologized. Horrible customer service. And even though she wasn’t here to see the situation the first time, escalated the situation to the cops being called for a shirt as a mask. I recommend the other gym in Blue Springs. I’m now cancelling my membership and heading there! Great thing about capitalism, choices, and mine was helped by poor leadership at the Blue Springs Planet Fitness.

I enjoy going there. It’s always clean. Staff is very friendly. The only issue I have is that lately more equipment has been out of service and it’s taking longer to get it fixed. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

Planet Fitness is a nice and affordable gym, they'll be even better when the open 24 hours during the week again... I wouldn’t might going to the gym late. on nights I'm up at 12 or 1 in the morning.

Love working out here very chill glad old staff is gone including Lisa! My only complaint would be I wish they would get some different equipment and do away with other equipment but other than that the free take you’re kid until August 31st was a great thing for me and my kid allowed her to be more active!

Manager is very rude and they have hidden fees.

Called to inquire about the Annual Fees that are charged without warning. The desk gal that took my call was RUDE! The $42.35 charged annually wouldn't be so painful if all area's of the gym were useful. The tanning beds are a waste of time because the bulbs are never changed. When I made these comments, she hung up on me!

Love this gym and the people that work there . Very clean, great atmosphere and Lisa the manager and Peanut are amazing and I love them to pieces.

I have already had two of my friends who work there get horrible service when it comes to problems. A manager hung up in one of their faces. The other friend is just trying to end their subscription at that gym Bc the lack of professionalism. This is a gym for crying out loud, why arnt the workers doing their job. I can’t imagine it being too hard to work in a facility where regular people just go there to work out.

So, I like it, but this is the only place I've gone without my family lately, and now I have covid. Hmm. Still, I like that you can go in, do your thing, and leave, all with whatever level of interaction you want. The Black Card massage chairs, water bed thing, and red light chamber are really nice. I have a bad sacroiliac joint, and the aqua massage really helps it. The full body is fun! I have no idea if it's doing anything (and I have my suspicions that small, warm, unventilated rooms just MAY be a great place to get covid) but I enjoy it anyway. Just make sure you sanitize equipment well before and after, and maintain social distance, if you're into that kind of thing. Oh! Hannah is really nice and helpful!

I love my Black Card Membership at Planet Fitness. I get to tan, work out, and then use the massage bed to relax.

Staff seems to be attentive to their clients, I always see staff wiping down equipment. The only issue that's been ongoing at this location is no hot water for the mens showers for at least 3 to 4 weeks.

The team here has my respect. I love coming in to see their smiling faces. They always have the best greetings and goodbyes.

I always enjoy going to the gym here. The employees in the early morning are awesome.

The friendly staff is the best part of the gym. The gym has installed new cleaning stations that have solved the lack of attention to them. The lack of gym etiquette blocking all the Smith machines has resolved, so workouts are pleasant and timely again. We get in, we work hard, we get out. The gym has improved the overhead music as well. For which, I am MOOOOOST grateful.

I have the black card membership and I absolutely will never change health clubs… Planet fitness is the best and I especially love my blue Springs home club… The folks at the front desk are awesome and the place is always clean never too crowded

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness - Blue Springs for about 9 years. It is always clean, and the restrooms smell good too. They have a variety of cardio equipment along with weight machines or free weights. They have a 30 minute workout area too.

I always had good service and the staff has always treated me politely.

No judgement,friendly and helpful staff. Just one thing they need to check every equiptmemt. Seen people’s earbuds,gloves etc. so I took it and brought it to the desk.Overall I love the gym and its cleanliness….

You cannot use the hydromassage or the tanning bed as a guest. So after our workout, I am expected to just sit there while the cardholder uses the extra amenities. Had that been made clear when we came in the first time, obviously I would have just paid a dollar for the first month’s membership. At this point, I didn’t feel that that guy at the front was the least bit friendly so I’m over it.

If you want to bring a guest make sure they have their first born to give as an offering to the IPad on the counter. If you want a job here, I'm assuming you need cleaning experience and a want to be a undercover security gaurd. Other than that. The weights lift. Bring hand chalk for the pull up bars. They are made of KY!

Had a membership that I had for a year or two and had called in to the Blue Springs location (home club) to cancel my membership. The guy on the phone asked me for my information and proceeded to tell me that my account was cancelled. The next month, I was charged. I called and repeated the process of cancelling my account. This month I was charged once again but this time I was charged $35.04. I just called to ask what it may be about and I was told that my account was never cancelled because they “don’t cancel over the phone” and that I now owe them $50 and as soon as I pay this, my account will be terminated. I asked if there was an option to put my account on hold so I would not be charged again since I’m not using my membership and haven’t been for the past several months, and there was no help offered to me. Now I am stuck having to pay for a membership that I was told was cancelled. If you are looking to get a membership, I would highly recommend you keeping track of your statements due to overcharging and unnecessary charges they will put on your account.

So I travel for work and visit many different planet fitness locations and I would say this is the worse one I've been to. Not cold but freezing ice cold showers

You will get what you would expect from a McGym.

Planet Fitness has done a great job keeping social distance guidelines and communicating with customers when changes were taking place.

Good place to go for a workout. They open pretty early. The only downside is it does cost money. However if you go with someone who already is signed up you can go as a guest and its free!

I appreciate the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Being close to home and having many locations is a blessing as well if I ever needed to pop in at another spot. Praise God!

Staff is great and it isn't overcrowded. The rowers need some tuning, and that's the only reason for they loose a star.

I travel all over the country for my husbands work. I depend on being able to find a PF near our hotel so I can continue workouts to keep me healthy. I am looking forward to comparing the different states and areas. The Blue Springs team did a great job reviewing the equipment and touring the facility.
