👍👍 Great food (and plenty of it!) and great staff. Prices seem reasonable, especially for what you get. What it lacks in ambience, it makes up everywhere else. I'll definitely be back! People often mention good, great, Sandy', chicken, service, staff, special, breakfast, home, sandwich,

Drive an hour to try this place. The salad was soggy, boiled shrimp was half cooked. Menu said Saturday special (shrimp) was 10.99 got the bill it was $16.99. If you like mediocre food and service with bait and switch prices this is your place!

We enjoyed two different visits this week w family who have a long history with Sandy. The staff are great, food was hot & filling! I’d suggest changing the sign at front to “Welcome, find an open seat!” People stand waiting for acknowledgement longer than necessary. Staff making a point of welcoming people at the door right away- can make a huge difference- especially for good food!

We are new to the area and have been looking for some good home cooking.... Sandy's did not disappoint! The fried chicken was cooked to order and delicious! The club sandwich was HUGE, and my personal favorite. We looked forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The giant tenderloin is only only thing we have ordered there. That is why I go there is for the tenderloin. A small side salad needs a lot of help. Either a larger bowl or small plate. It's so packed into a small bowl it's hard to eat. No big issues. I over heard a table next to us, order the chicken livers and when there order came I heard the lady tell the waitress that it was mixed livers and gizzard. Waitress was really nice and offered customer if she wanted something else and the customer said, "no this is fine.". Waitress handled it really well. I highly recommend Sandy's.

Great place to eat with your family and friends. Lots of menu items. The staff was attentive and polite. The food was fresh and hot, and delicious. I had eaten at Sandy's restaurant when it was on 291 south of 24 Hiway in Independence. I'm glad she opened up this place in Blue Springs. I went to school with her at Fort Osage, and was very sad to hear she has passed away. Her daughter is keeping her dream alive, doing it so he right way. This will be a place we visit often, and you should as well. Sandy was a great person and it shows in her restaurant.

Good food, good service. The chicken fried chicken dinner used to come with a side salad, doesn't anymore, disappointing. Now have to pay an additional $3.99 not to mention the additional charge if you use a credit card. All said and done, 2 sodas, 1 entree, 2 side salads and tip $34.00. Our once great country has changed and Sandy's has fallen inline!

This place is awesome. Great, locally-owned joint. I've eaten dinner there in the past. Tenderloin sandwich is excellent. This was the first time we ate breakfast there. The Nashville hot chicken and waffles was PHENOMENAL! Best chicken-n-waffles I've ever had. The portion size is plenty big enough to split between 2 or take 1/2 home. Warms up great in the oven. They run a daily special for takeout fried chicken. That's next on our radar to try. Believing it will be as good as everything else we've had. Can't recommend highly enough!!!

Came in for breakfast, and was taken care of by Jessica. I had the Big County Breakfast, and it did not disappoint! The biscuits & gravy were incredible. Had blueberries in my huge pancake, both bacon & sausage, and 4 eggs. Plenty of seating, and relaxing atmosphere.

Very disappointed! Waited over an hour for undercooked salmon patties. Barely cooked on the outside cold mushy and raw in the middle. I could not eat them. I told the waitress and she returned with another 2 patties which was worse. I did not eat those either. I did not order anymore or anything else. The other couple that was with us ordered chicken gizzards and country fried chicken that was overcooked and burned with too much breading. We had to track down our waitress to get drink refills while we were waiting so long. The two other tables that came after us got their food and was done eating. My friend that was with us just happens to be a cook and she even tried the salmon patties and confirmed they were raw both times. I don't think I will be back to eat again and we used to eat at Sandy's quite often!

My now husband and I had our wedding her August 12th. Bobby assisted us with everything, he and the staff when above and beyond to make our day stress free and special. They set us tables and chairs while we were all eating in the restaurant so we could go back in the banquet room to cut our cake. They made our special day so much easier and I can not thank them enough. Absolutely recommend! Bobby even helped my family set up before the wedding and only asked that we pay for the food we were severing.

Held my daughters small (55 people) wedding in the Banquet room in August of 2023 and the staff and food was simply amazing! They not only set up a beautiful buffet for the reception but even put out table cloths and centerpieces and let us use the dining room while they swapped out chairs for tables & chairs to have the cake in the banquet room. I encourage everyone to support this business!!

They are proud of their pie. $5 for one slice that I wouldn’t have paid $2 for. The food was very good though but the pie price is ridiculous. Probably won’t go back just because that. $15 for 3 pieces. I left them on the table. Didn’t even have real whipping cream.

Great food and wonderful service! Hanna was very friendly and laughed with me when I realized the group that I thought I was there to meet wasn't set to there till NEXT WEEK. LOL I Will definitely will be back and bring a few friends with me. 😁😏😉

The food was definitely not worth what they are charging. The menu states off the griddle, but when I ordered waffles they were pre packaged! Waffles from a bag! Gross! Won't be back. Server was nice.

My party and I had a great breakfast Saturday morning. Our waitress worked her tail of keeping our coffee cups full. I do not know how much she gets paid, but she deserves a raise! Our orders were super yum as well! I cannot wait to come back again. :)

Our server was fantastic. But we waited a long time for the food to come out and one plate came much later. We were getting impatient, but our server quickly brought it out when it was ready and even comped that plate. The food was great, as it normally is. It was an ok experience, but our server turned it into a great experience just with her attitude and willingness to correct the problem without being asked.

This not the place for atmosphere, but if you want a bit of home in your meal this be good. I had the tenderloin. While they need to offer a 1/2 tenderloin sandwich it was good. It would be in my top 3, my #1 very best is Smith’s in Clinton, MO and Boliver. So since they are a real trip that makes Sandy’s #1 locally

The only place in the Kansas City Metro area that has liver and onions on their menu! It was so good just like my moms. The service was great, the food was outstanding. Good home cooking here!

A delightfully spacious diner with casual breakfast/lunch/dinner fare and good service. Nothing special, food-wise, but it was the traditional diner fare done well. I had the chili cheese dog and it was the best I've had in Missouri to date. Will definitely be back to try the pie.

Sandy's is always great. I got the Turkey special and while good I was expecting more of a sliced turkey dinner but this was the mashed potatoes and stuffing on the bottom with shredded turkey and gravy on top. More like a turkey bowl. Not my favorite way to eat turkey.

We just had the BEST experience here. We drove from Sedalia for the all you can eat crab leg special and it was definitely worth the drive. We were greeted with a happy waitress and the crab legs were hot and delicious and they keep them coming the whole time. Thank you to the guy who sent us home with a slice of pie to enjoy for later, that was so sweet of him, we will definitely be back!!!

My cousin took me here twice for breakfast while I was visiting from California. He frequents Sandy's often. The service and food were great both times. Liked the old school diner vibe. I only visit the area twice a year, but will be stopping by for breakfast every trip from now on.

Sandy's Restaurant was a recommendation thru a friend. I'm so glad to have acted upon that recommendation. This place for those that are craving down home cooking like grandma always made. I had the ham steak and my better half had the liver and gizzards. We were both very satisfied with our choices and decided to endulge into dessert. The lemon pie was absolutely divine. The staff were kind and courteous. Our table was very clean. And as a result we were both very happy. So if you're just not in the mood for Chinese, Mexican, or fast food, give this place a try.

This place is as good as folks say. My husband said his chicken fried steak was the best he's ever eaten. The gravy is really good and the cooks can do a over medium egg perfectly! No runny whites! That's hard to find. The women who work there were so friendly. Oh! The coffee is super smooth. We enjoyed ourselves.

Well I got the tenderloin sandwich. I paid about 15 bucks. It is LARGE, so for $15.00 it is worth it. O did I tell you it taste good as H.E double hockey stick. And the picture with the sandwich with the lettuce is only half of a whole sandwich.
