Amazing tour! Jax is friendly and entertaining. Good at corralling a large group in crowded places. We got a fantastic overview of Munichs history with a nice walk through the old town. This tour is very very worth it to get your bearings. Tip well people!! This is a free tour and the guide depends on your tips.

I had 5 hours to spend in Munich before my flight back and this experience was probably the best decision to take. I was a part of the bigger group, led by Patrick-a super talented, young guide that makes any history fact fun. Thank you for the experience once again!

I really enjoyed my tour of Munich yesterday morning (5/7/23). I'm somewhat embarrassed that I cannot remember the guide's name (sorry 😔), but he was very good. Very informative, with quite a bit of humour thrown in and he even managed to include the two kids (that were there with their parents) in a bit of role play to make them feel included as well! I would definitely recommend this local tour group.

We enjoy doing a walking tour when we travel, and we chose Heart of Munich tours based on their reviews and also that they are an independent company. We do not regret our choice! We had a tour with Brett, who was very knowledgeable about the city but was entertaining at the same time. I lived in Munich for a year and even I learnt a lot about the city during the tour. Brett also was very informative about suggestions about where to try in the city. The whole tour had a very laid back vibe but with a lot of information, which we really enjoyed. We would strongly recommend using this company (although I still disagree with Brett that the Glockenspiel is tacky).

We decided to join this guided tour even we thought that we have seen most of the attractions after 2 days in Munich. After walking with our guide Charlie for about 1.5 hours, we’re so glad we made the right decision! Charlie is very knowledgeable in Bavaria history and extremely familiar with the streets around Marienplatz. He showed us lots of places we missed, and told us lots of stories we could never know without hearing from him. Unfortunately, we had to drop off a little earlier to catch the flight. I’m sure the remaining tour would be as interesting as the 1st half. I highly recommend the Heart of Munich tour if you want to learn the most about Munich with limited time.

Me and my friends went for the Heart of Munich tours and had a really good experience. The tour offered a good introduction into Bavarian culture and the vibe of the city of Munich. This is the perfect way to start your stay in Munich. Charlie made many good recommendations at the end of the tour and also was entertaining during the tour. Munich has many cool stories and it felt like we got quite a bit in those 2 and a half hour on the tour. You start at the beginning location and end up in the same location where you started. Charlie, if you ever come and visit Bucharest, do not hesitate to contact me, promise to give you a nice tour in the city.

We joined the free walking tour on a busy Saturday in July 2023, booked beforehand to secure us a spot - which is highly recommended. Our guide Brett was very welcoming and chatty immediately, he was super knowledgeable about many aspects of the city and very passionate about beer culture in Munich! We didn’t see so many sights but learned a lot of unexpected facts, some more, some less useful. It unfortunately started raining during the tour but Brett was flexible and found us some cover and lectured us a bit on historical stuff about Munich, which was great! Totally can recommend this tour, rain or shine!

One of the best tour I ever had! It is like a friend is guiding you into the city. The tour is well prepared, interactive and with some visual aid from a tablet which I find a good idea. You'll learn a bit of history and fun fact of the city walking through the main center spots. We took this tour in October. I've taken 30+ walking tours throughout Europe and the trouble is always finding a guide who is not only knowledgeable and interesting, but is also clear and easy to understand. Last weekend we were fortunate to have 2 private tours with Heart of Munich Tours. Day 1 saw us head off to Dachau with Matthew. He managed to make a difficult subject engaging and his approach was respectful and honest. We were astounded at his in depth knowledge of not just the history of WW II but of Germany as well. Day 2 saw Jax himself also pick us up promptly from our hotel and head off on the train Neuschwanstein Castle. Jax too is friendly and engaging, and he slowly revealed the very intriguing story of the castle. We really enjoyed his easy going manner and patience as we took all of the information in. Both days were really great, we felt well taken care of and both guides unpacked the history of the day in such a wsy thst we could retain what we had learnt. We loved all the food and sightseeing recommendations, we did follow their advice and it was right on the money. When in Munich again, we will definitely be booking Jax for another tour!

You just won’t regret this tour. I did it on the first day and then spent the rest of my stay noticing details of the city Jax had explained to us . ( and noticing other tourist completely miss things as they blindly walked past ) Great storyteller , great info and ending up at the food market .
