So disappointed .. just paid almost $20 for the most basic grilled cheese ever… it was literally a bread sandwich. The soup is the only good part. Overpriced and not worth it at all.

Not sure where to begin, in all fairness, these folks deserve a higher score and no review was going to be posted. The owner of this location made it fairly clear that I was authorized to post my honest opinion as he felt that there was nothing he could do help current, past or future loyal guests with future experiences and visits to his location(s.) Our first visit was to a location in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale FL. Service always great, open extended hours and Food is always fresh and fast. The taste is amazing and the concept is perfect. The pricing was never a huge concern, you could expect a meal for two to run $30-50 (which is fine) given the high quality ingredients and decent portion sizes and free drink refills. The issue at hand is that it's not fine dining. It's far from a flannigans or cheesecake factory. A lunch portion at a local cheesecake factory on average $17 and a beverage another $4-5 if you add taxes and a $5 tip, you are in and out at $28 or less in a matter of 45 minutes. The PRICING AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT , NEW YORK GRILLED CHEESE is out of control. A sandwich ( by itself) is $13-$17.00 or more. An order of fries can run you $8 and a fountain drink can be another $2-3. By the time you add tax and a tip, you are done with a quick meal, by yourself, and have spent $30.00+ FOR A GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH, fries and drink lunch. I attempted to chat with owner, Leor Barak, local businessman and realtor with a clean reputation for being fair, He replied to my email concerns with a nasty rather obnoxious message that stated that: they are prepared for my nonsense and that I "psycho". should get a life and that he's sure my family is super proud of being around me. Rather odd that a business owner would handle a concern and suggestion in this manner. I think that bringing back combo meal at a smaller portion and rational price would have been something to consider and maybe avoid the drama. For legal reasons, my spouse (an attorney) suggested I disclose the fact that this proprietor collected and distributed photos of me and my minor child through electronic communication without my consent. This casual spot has a good atmosphere going. The music is great and the staff is nice and welcoming. Jasmyne was an exceptional server. Her recommendations were on point and her fun personality was a joy. I think I had one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches here. The Broadway was good. I think I will always get it. The tomato bisque is something else I recommend. I am not a fan of tomatoes and I liked this soup very much. I liked everything I tried here. It tasted good. The fries here are really good and crispy lol. That is important lol. I tried the bacon dog, omg I want more. I had a great experience trying this new place. It was easy to do find. I will probably be back soon.

The food was awesome. The waitress was awesome. She kept coming to the table to make sure that we did not need refills. What sucks here is the manager. I see that several other people have mentioned it too and I witnessed it first hand. He was yelling at his waitress. Over something trivial in front of customers. If this location wants to keep doing business it needs New Management. I can see why there was only one other person in here with us during what should have been a peak time of the evening for dinner. At least the wait staff was friendly and the chef knew how to cook. Otherwise I would have also given it one star.

Incredible experience and food. Service was excellent Austin and Athena took great care of my family and I. The Manhattan and New York fries have been my go to for years. Love this place.

Love them. Love everything about them. Best grilled cheese in the WORLD. My go-to comfort food for sure. High quality ingredients, best tomato bisque ever, best fries ever, best staff, convenient location… there’s nothing I don’t like about NY Grilled Cheese. My favorite is the Manhattan on sourdough bread with a NY Fry. Genius owner came up with the craziest flavor combos. I love Ny Grilled Cheese!

A guy at Loch Bar said this was one of his favorite places, and I have been wanting to go here for awhile. New York Grilled Cheese has a phenomenal menu of every type of grilled cheese melt you could imagine. I asked the Assistant Manager what the best seller was and which one was his favorite. Brooklyn Porkster was the answer to both questions so that is the one I ordered. It lived up to his hype. This comes with American cheese and the sandwich was huge. The pulled pork was tender & tantalizing. The BBQ sauce, the carmelized onions and the dill pickles really took it up a notch. The sandwich came with a cup of tomato basil bisque soup which was tangy & delicious. To top it off, they offer gluten free bacon & beef franks as well as vegan items. I'll come back to try their waffle fries and the Meat Packing District melt. Bring your appetite ...highly recommend!

(4/30/22 visit) Got the SoHo Sweet Cheese. No complaints, all praises. The caramelized onions, Applewood bacon and brie cheese complement each other greatly! Bacon and oatmeal wheat bun were crispy. The sweet potato fries with marshmallow fluff sauce was icing on the cake. The customer service was great. They were very professional and polite.

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! On 3/15/22 I was so excited to find New York Grilled Cheese in Boca Raton, FL. I just left a massage appointment and felt great until I went here. Not only was I completely ignored for about 5 mins when I walked in and they weren’t busy, the supposedly ASSISTED MANAGER TAVARIS and I say supposedly because he argued with me about giving me his name multiple times, then asking me for my name. He only gave me his name when I asked for the manager and he refused to give me anyones info who is above him because he knows he was dead wrong! I didn’t even take a bite of my Mac n Cheese to find a hair on top. (That wasn’t even the problem! The biggest problem was his horrible attitude!!!) I showed him and he said it was cheese!!! I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and showed him a couple of different times, then with the fork and he argued with me about it! I couldn’t believe it! I was never rude I just showed him. I cannot believe this company would have someone like this working for them because it looked like the company does take pride. From the moment I walked in he treated me like he didn’t want me there like I was at his house begging for some free food and I was a huge burden to him. He put my meal to go then called me to the counter to pick it up when I ordered only the Mac n cheese to go and he walked every one else’s food to them. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work around this person. He definitely shouldn’t be in charge of anyone or in any kind of customer service job. I wouldn’t even want him flipping burgers in the back of McDonald’s. I didn’t have any interactions with any other employee, unfortunately just him. He has completely ruined this restaurant for me and I will never go back. I have never been treated like this! I hardly write reviews and bad ones at that! I hope the management will take this seriously and watch the video and/or use undercover people to go in there to see how badly they need a new employee. He is the most unprofessional person I have ever met!

The food is awesome for what it is,rivals other restaurants of similar menu's across all of South Florida. Unique options, great service, friendly staff familiar with the menu items great suggestions, casually comfy.highly recommended

New York Grilled Cheese is probably one of my favorite places to eat! I’m not a huge grilled cheese fan, but I never knew what I was missing until I came here. I order my regular Times Square pizza melt with empire waffle fries. Our server Alana was friendly as she handled the busy crowd. I always enjoy the playlist at New York Grilled Cheese, and parking is never a hassle. I recommend anyone to stop by and try out their grilled cheese options when in Boca.

This was my first time coming here and I absolutely loved it! The food was hot and fresh. Everything was juicy and full of flavor. The fries were to absolute die for. The place is also extremely clean. It even smelled clean. I will definitely be returning. I’ll be sure to leave room for dessert next time. 5/5!

Look. This is the BEST grilled cheese on earth. I’ve been coming here for years. The quality remained superb, the employees are always super friendly, and it’s always clean. However, I used to pay around $10 for their grilled cheeses…. The same order last week cost me $18!!!! The only downside of this place is the ridiculous prices they’ve hiked up. Not sure how much longer I’ll be a customer here unfortunately.

The Broadway Classic was delicious!! The vegan poutine was okay. I was not a fan of vegan cheese or the sauce thing it came with but is just personal preference, I guess.

The food they create there is so delicious my mouth is watering just thinking about it. OMG, the brisket, and that pinkish color soup is out of this world. And the staff is great.

Waitress was great. The chicken fingers boat was the best one I have ever eaten, tender and delicious. The crispy outside incredible, and the delicious sauce that accompanied the plate fit perfectly with the chicken.

Food was incredible Jasmyne was out serve A+ customer service Restaurant was super clean as well and I’ll definitely be back Great vibe awesome food!!

i ate here again for the first time in a while. Alana was my server and she made it a very pleasant and welcoming experience. will definitely be back. lost a star for being overpriced. nothing to do with my server.

To be fair the food was good. As with everything these days it is a bit pricey. One thing that was unacceptable was the server. To say she was uninterested in her job would be an understatement. She was curt, to the point that it ruined the atmosphere. She seemed to have an active disdain for us and her job. There was a man who took an active role there and he was pleasant. If your waiter/waitress is awful it, the establishment can't be rated well. Good help is hard to find but try harder.

Amazing food! Excellent twist on the classic grilled cheese, I will be coming here again anytime I pass through Boca. Additionally, my experience here was especially standout as the restaurant was totally slammed and the only server, Sarah, provided amazing service! She waited on something like 40 customers all by herself with excellence and grace. Extremely impressed with her customer service skills and bright personality. She was so sweet and helpful the entire time. Thank you Sarah!
