We went on a three-day bike trip in the Ruhr area on May 1st and stayed overnight at Monika's for the first time. The reception was super friendly and she offered us the “you” straight away. We were able to park the bikes in the garage. We had a large room and in the morning she conjured up a breakfast that was second to none. A dream !!! She was very warm and always wanted to fulfill every wish. When the weather is nice, breakfast is served in the garden. The guesthouse is located about 500m from the railway line. Went to a B&B for a weekend in Bochum. The rooms are very nicely and comfortably furnished and Monika is a very personable, friendly host. She is happy to give tips for excursions and restaurants. When you have breakfast with her and the other guests, you feel like you are at home with friends. We felt very comfortable.
