I've visited Gordhan Thal several times in the past, including my most recent visit just a few days ago. I must say, their ambiance, service, and seating arrangements are truly excellent. I'd easily give them a solid 5/5 for those aspects. The variety of food they offer is impressive, and while I found the taste to be above average, it didn't quite reach the level of exceptional. That said, I would still rate their food at a respectable 3.5 or 4/5. However, one major drawback of Gordhan Thal is the parking situation. Finding a parking space nearby can be an arduous task, and for that reason alone, I'm compelled to rate this place at a maximum of 2.5 or 3. If parking were more convenient, my rating would easily be higher, at 3.5 or 4/5."

The food at Gordhan Thal will definitely bring joy to your day. I have had Gujarati food at many places in Ahmedabad and I don’t think there can be any high appraise for this place, that saying that in spite of going there multiple times I have never felt anything less then happiness. The staff and management are doing a brilliant job at maintaining the authenticity and consistency in flavour, of all the dishes. I personally find the pricing, just right. No complaints here. If I had to nitpick then I would say that the decor feels like it needs a refurb. I would like to see the interiors keep up with the times so they feel bright and airy. An important thing to consider, if you are visiting this place for lunch, is that you would not see some of the famous Gujarati food icons such as the Bhakri, Thepla’s and even Khichdi. They are serving approx 20 varieties including 3 chutney in Unlimited Gujarati Thali. Everything was having such a balanced taste, not too much spicy and sweets were not too much sweet. 2 sabjis were little sweet. Ambiance is 10/10. I liked the food, its worth the money

Awesome experience. We went there for lunch, waited for 1 hour and finally entered for food. Ambience is great, ethenic look. Service is rapid. The only drawback was the food was slightly sweet, even the dal and the curries had element of sweetness. We had a sumptuous meal and were contented with the service. As of 20-12-2023 the price of unlimited Gujarati Thali lunch is Rs 375 per adult. Everything is satisfactory. I found the man at billing counter bit rude for reason only he can explain. There's so much food that most normal people would never be able to eat beyond certain limit.

Not only they serve one of the best meals in Ahemdabad, also no place can beat their hospitality, warmth and affinity. They make you feel like guests not mere customers. Staff is very hospitable and polite, they have a unique way of communicating through snap and fingers to make sure you don't stay unattended even for a moment. However the tradition of one holding the metallic dish while you wash your hands is something I don't support. Also, the guests should avoid wastage of food.

“GORDHAN THAAL” I love the places that serves Gujarati Thaali and this is place is one of them but the only reason I gave 4 stars to this place is because of the servers. I don’t know why all the servers are in so much hurry that you can’t even understand or ask them what they’re serving you. You can’t enjoy and relax while you are eating. The food is really good, always there is lot of waiting even on a weekday. It’s really hard to find 🅿️ as they have only 3 spots for parking and then you have find roadside space to park and sometimes it’s really hard to find one. Happy Eating : )

The cost of the thaali is 375₹. On weekends, there is a rush. It is advisable to reach before peak hours, else there's waiting time. It is situated at a prime location, so parking may be an issue. There is limited parking space in front of the restaurant but there is paid parking (30₹) on the road. Eat to your heart's content!

Very good food and lots of variety of dishes ranging from North Indian, East Indian and South Indian. If you are planning to visit on weekends please be ready to wait in line for 1-2 hours. There’s huge crowd on weekends. Better to plan your weekdays for visiting this place. Also parking is an issue so better to come via taxi. If you are bringing your own car good luck finding a parking spot near the restaurant. The waiters are respectful and are proactively asking for any additional items you require. Ambience and hygiene is also very good. Good place for family or group parties.

I have been to other similar places that charge over ₹1000 per person but nothing beats this place in terms of pricing, taste, ambience, and service. As soon as you go, they start serving with amazing dishes like- undhiyu, puri, dhokla, roti, dal, moong daal halwa, utappam, chutney, paneer sabzi, chaney, salad, buttermilk etc. There is no delay in service and the place is extremely hygienic with a good staff. One piece of advice would be to avoid going on weekends because there is minimum 30mins waiting since everybody wants to taste these delicious dishes! P.S. the location is very prime and easy to find. Parking can be an issue during rush hours for sure.

Great experience ! I like the way, they SERVE. Total 'moghera Mehman' feeling (It feels like you are special guest). Food is amazing. Menu is fixed type 'UNLiMited' and have 4 kind of sabji, 1 liquid sweet 1 solid sweet, some starters, Chapati or puri or bhakhri, Dal-rice or kadhi-khichdi. Nice ambience. Great food. An excellent place to try the Gujarati Thali. However the way the staff serve you food, you feel so highly pressured. They don't let you enjoy the food leisurely. At one point in time, there were nearly 4 people serving items at the same time, even though we were only a party of 5 people. And there were also times when we had to repeatedly request for an item or two. The staff seem extremely disconnected and detached, almost making you feel an unwelcome guest. Not at all an example of the famed Gujarati Hospitality. And, if you are new here, please instruct them to clearly ask the staff to identify and explain the item being served, before placing it in your Gujarati Thali. They just want to do their formality of placing the item on your plate and move away even before you can comprehend what happened. Maybe, they have misinterpreted what fast service means.
