Such a calm, serene and hidden gem in Ahmedabad! Food quality is really authentic and genuine. Workers are responsive and very reasonably priced menu. Follow them on Instagram to know their daily menu. Offers breakfasts, lunch, high tea and dinner. Open from 8AM to 10.30PM. They don't have a parking space, but it's located on an internal street, so parking isn't much of a problem. No air conditioned space, but the coolers do a decent job. You feel like eating in the lap of nature. Very nice location to eat.

Kamla is beautiful & serene. It feels like sitting in the lap of nature. The ambience is calming, no loud noises nearby. The staff is friendly. It has great food, tastes homely and is available at affordable rates. The menu is decided on a daily basis and the ingredients are organic, sourced from local villages. One can buy seasonal fruits too. The place follows the norm of self-service. It is a good place to have a quite dinner / lunch. The seating arrangement is spacious and has adequate fans / coolers for summers. Since it is open, there are no ACs.

The food, ambience and environment was serene. Food was pure homely and with less oil. The prices are reasonable. Portion size is appropriate and taste was just perfect. The service was quick. Tables were with neat clean and fresh cloth. They sell fresh farm vegetables, fruits and pulses cereals as well. Cutting short, It's an authentic restaurant with unique idea of helping small farmers. Only loophole was heat. Lunch can be little sweaty as it's an outside restaurant with limited fans.

Friend visited Ahmedabad after long and wanted to have some Satvik food instead of visiting some fancy café or restaurant so decided to visit Kamla Seva run by SEWA (Self Employed Women Association) for lunch. It’s managed by a not for profit organization so what we pay goes to for a good cause for women empowerment. One of the most underrated places in Ahmedabad. Kamla has peaceful ambience and very well maintained. There is so greenery here. This lush green place can easily steal your heart away. This place is completely based on wood. Feels like you are in village. You can feel the calmness in the air and be in the lap of nature. Perfect place to enjoy food with friends and family. We had ordered Gujarati Thali. In thali there was Chhas, Bean Salad, Fada Ni Lapasi, Karela kaju nu shak, Bataka vatanu nu shak, Gujarati Daal, Bhaat & Fulka Roti. The Food was excellent. It was pure, homely and cooked with minimal oil and less spices. The portan sizes were just right and the prices were reasonable too. The menu changes daily so there’s something new every time you visit this place. They also sell fresh farm vegetables, fruits, bakery items, etc. Things to keep in mind: - They have self service - Parking is not available so difficult to find parking - They offer breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner - Timings: 8 AM to 10:30 PM - Location: Kamla, Gulmahor, Plot No, 444-445, Next to Rampir Mandir lane, Opp. Gurudwara, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad

Ambiance is so soothing and calm that the time you spent there is absolutely worth for it, this cafe is run by SEWA [self employed woman's association] which is a good initiative for society. Seating in between mother nature while having Gujarati thali or brunch in this beautiful place, definitely it is a reason for visit again nd again making my go to place. Talking about food here it is totally satvik, organic and freshly made and it was amazing. Everyday they change their menu nd charge 150/- [Fix Gujarati thali for Monday till Saturday] In Sunday they have unlimited thali for worth 200/- which is very economical. Seating arrangements is great and parking space is decent. Moreover kudos to this place they have maintained it very well.

So Kamla cafe was started by Ms. Kamla as a place where you can be peaceful and calm and enjoy the oxygen rich environment. This place is not known to a lot of people. Since it’s not promoted well. But I urge you to go and visit the place because it’s so beautiful in and out. Has a different vibe altogether and I am sure you will love the fact that the place is run by mostly women staff. Since this place is supported and run by SEWA Trust now. They are a not for profit cafe and whatever the earnings are shared with the women working there to help them out. They also have a wide range of snacks and muffins, all made by women from their homes. This place gives me a satisfaction of being in the greens all by myself and also the contentment of helping my fellow women. A must visit if you are in Ahmedabad. :)

Its a quiet serene place and the menu changes daily but all of the food is healthy. A really amazing place where you can just hangout and chill, sit for long hours and talk. The vibe is calm there and the taste is also good that too at a normal cost.

It is a very unique place serving Indian food with age old recipes with very basic and earthy preperation. Plus the ambiance gives very rustic vibes. The fact that it is being run by women's self help group is making it all the more interesting place. Loved the thepla and dosa thet we got to try here. Looking forward to have lunch and dinner very soon

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamla Cafe with my team, and overall, I would rate the experience 4 stars. The restaurant offered some truly authentic and delicious food, which was a definite highlight. I particularly enjoyed the flavors and traditional taste of the dishes. However, there was one minor downside - the sabji I ordered was a bit too oily for my liking. It could have been prepared with a little less oil to make it even more enjoyable. On the service front, I felt that there was room for improvement. The staff was polite, but I couldn't help but notice that their behavior towards customer inquiries could have been more attentive and responsive. Despite these minor drawbacks, I had a good time at Kamla Cafe. The restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, and the authentic food made the experience worthwhile. If they work on the oily sabji issue and enhance their service, it could easily become a top-notch dining destination in Ahmedabad. I would definitely consider visiting again in the future.

Kamala Cafe is truly a hidden gem, nestled amidst breathtaking scenic beauty. This charming eatery offers not just a meal but an experience in itself. Surrounded by nature's splendor, dining here feels like a mini-retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lush greenery and serene ambiance create a perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal. What makes this place truly special, though, is the way it effortlessly combines affordable dining with the beauty of nature. It's the perfect spot to savor a meal, take in the scenic views, and create cherished memories with loved ones. If you're looking for an affordable dining experience that is enriched by the beauty of nature, Kamala Cafe should be at the top of your list. It's a place where good food meets stunning surroundings, making it a must-visit for locals and travelers alike.

Kamala Cafe is more than just a place to have breakfast; it's an experience that allows you to connect with your family in a tranquil and natural setting. If you're looking for the best of both worlds - a delicious breakfast and a serene environment - this cafe is the perfect choice. It's a reminder that some of life's most meaningful moments happen around the breakfast table with family, and Kamala Cafe provides the ideal setting for those moments to unfold. I eagerly anticipate returning with my family for another memorable breakfast amidst the trees.

Very tasty and very good quality of food available here, either breakfast or lunch or dinner. During summer,it is bit difficult for lunch, though there is a shade but it is open so hot air make it uncomfortable. Otherwise very good. You can purchase dry snacks and bakery products and organic vegetables from their counter.

Perfect place for a relaxed outdoor dining. Kamala cafe has beautiful ambiance and is very well maintained. There is good greenery here & a crystal clear fish pond. It opens up at 08:00 am, so good for those who have early breakfast. Menu is having limited options of Sindhi, Gujarati & South Indian food. We tried Dal pakwaan, masala dosa, tea & coffee. It is self service over here.

One of the chosen few cafes in Ahmedabad which runs on the values of sustainability. Completely built in harmony with nature, people usually flock this place to eat food whose ingredients are sourced directly from farmers associated with the org. Food will be homely and dont expect for it to be tasty filled with masalas.

Kamala, a cafe-cum-nutrition training centre run by SEWA, is no run-off-the-‘meal’ place. The first thing you notice is the blackboard informing patrons that the vegetables and grains/cereals used have arrived fresh from farms of their women farmers. Place makes u feel closer to nature and food puts a big smile on face. 100/100 from my side.. 🙏
