Daibutsu-the great Buddha statue at Bodhgaya. It is a big statue of lord Buddha constructed by using stone.Local people say it 80 feet lord Buddha statue. The statue is 64 feet tall on 6 feet locus .The height of pedestal is 10 feet .It is constructed in 4 years.Main statue is constructed by pink chunar sandstone, the lotus is constructed by yellow chunar sand stone and pedestal is constructed by red granite. The main statue is sorrounded by statue of 10 disciples of lord Buddha. The people who come to visit Bodhgaya visit this statue. But the space adjacent to statue is not maintained.Nothing is done to beautify the landed space .Some big tree are in the ground without any maintenance. If landed space is maintained and its garden area is maintained it will be more attractive for the visitors. Its gate needs to be made free from beggers.

The Statue is great but it's too crowded a place. But it is one of the most popular Buddhist Pilgrimage Place located at Bodh Gaya. The Great Buddha as it is called is around 64 feet high representing the Buddha seated in a meditation pose on a lotus flower known as Dhyana Mudra.

The Great Buddha statue, popularly known as 80 fit Buddha, is one of the popular destinations in Bodh Gaya for tourists and the Buddhist pilgrimage. The tall status representing the Buddha seated in a meditation pose, on a lotus in the open air. Presently, some black spots could be seen on the face of Buddha, don’t know why, may be needing some better maintenance. The Great Buddha statue is located in a garden at the end of Temple Street and is surrounded by smaller sculptures of Buddha's ten principal disciples, five on each side. The entire complex is neatly maintained. Avoid visit in the summer afternoon, as the marble flooring becomes very hot and impossible to walk barefooted near the statue. Several souvenir / snacks & ice-cream stalls are available just outside the complex.

A place significant to Buddhism, you can really feel at peace here, even in 100+ degree weather. Sitting under the Bodhi tree (3rd generation), listening to the initiation of monk children, climbing up to Pragbodhi Caves, and visiting one of the 4 Great Buddha Statues.

Budha Statue is about 80 feet high , unveiled in 1989, is perfectly looking beautiful from all sides. 10 more statues in standing postures were installed in 1996 also enhance the beauty of statue.

Bodh Gaya is a small town near Gaya, Bihar. It is considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, it's dominated by the ancient brick Mahabodhi Temple Complex, built to mark the site where the Buddha attained enlightenment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree. The place attracts a lot of tourists from different parts of India, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Myanmar, China and Sri Lanka. The place is usually busy. You are not allowed to take your phone inside the premises You will find real peace at this place.

October 2023 The place is a crowded as it is one of the main attractions after the mahabodhi Temple. The Great Buddha statue, popularly known as 80 ft Buddha, is one of the popular destinations in Bodh Gaya for tourists and the Buddhist pilgrimage. The tall status representing the Buddha seated in a meditation pose, on a lotus in the open air. The only issue around there is parking. The place is congested buses going and the tuk-tuk going to and froze, some parked.

This is one of the amazing place and Buddhist site of Bodhgaya. One can reach to this site either by walking or commutation by public or private vehicle. This place is approximately 2 km away from Bodhi tree and can be seen from very far because of the giant stature of Lord Buddha statue. Bike and car can be parked outside the campus of this statue and need to walk at least for 100 meters to reach near this statue from main gate of campus. There is also a breakout period of 12 to 2 pm during which no one is allowed to go inside the campus so plan your visit accordingly. The statue is approximately 80 ft high and lord Buddha is seated on a lotus in open air. It was unveiled in 1989 and made up of sand stone and ignite which makes it durable and air resistant.

Daijokyo spent seven years on construction of the Great Buddha Statue in Bodhgaya. It is nicknamed "the 80-foot" (25-meter) Buddha Statue. The statue of Buddha is considered to be a mascot for the Buddhist faith. Since ancient times, people have held awe & reverence for meditation and source of inspiration. In Buddhism, it is a symbol of enlightenment, which can be attained by conquering egoism and the wants of the material world.

The Buddha here is seen seated in dhyana mudra-meditation pose , on a lotus in the open. The temple was consecrated by the Dalai lama in late last century. The temple premises is neatly maintained with green shrubbery, the towering statue at the open beyond the pathway lined by the shrubbery. There are many buildings and statues, prominent being the s tatues of the ten disciples of Buddha. , standing in five in a row on either side. A serene location for a serene Buddha. NYC Place for visitors ????

Bodh gaya is the well known religious place in the world. It is famous for baudh dharam. There are so many attractive beautiful places in the Bodh gaya and the giant Buddha statue is one Among Them. The Great Buddha Statue also known as 80 feet statue is in Bodhgaya. The unveiling and consecration of the Great Buddha Statue took place on 18 November 1989. The consecration ceremony was attended by the XIVth Dalai Lama, who blessed the 25-meter statue, the first great Buddha ever built in the history of India. The Statue is now a symbol of the holy place Bodhgaya, next to Mahabohdi Temple which is a World Heritage site, and enjoys constant visits of pilgrims from all over the world. Among local people, it is nicknamed "the 80-foot (25-meter) Buddha Statue." Under the slogan "Spread Buddha's rays to the Whole World," Daijokyo spent seven years on construction of the Great Buddha Statue, mobilizing 120,000 masons in total. The greatest driving force for this massive project was the pure heart of people, who wish for further expansion of Buddhism from the holy place Bodhgaya, as well as for the realization of world peace. We Daijokyo believers shall never forget this fact.

This is a must-visit place when you are in Bodh Gaya. This place is located within walking distance of the Mahabodhi temple. To my surprise, it was very clean and too peaceful. The Lord Buddha is in meditating pose, you can’t visit the actual statue as there are some barricades installed and you can click pictures from a distance. Make sure to visit this place before 5.

Neat provisions were made for keeping your shoes. take 10 to 15 steps and you could see Buddha sitting Majestically with a smile in his lips and mercy in his face..

The landmark of Bodhgaya! This temple was constructed by the Daijokyo Buddhist Community in Kamakura style. This 80 feet high stone sculpture of lord Buddha at 'meditation' pose is one of the landmark of Bodhgaya. The statue was constructed in the year 1989 and since then attracts the tourists visiting Bodhgaya. Situated on a Street with few other temples at a corner of the small town, this is also not far away from the Mahabodhi Temple and a must see for all.

Budha Statue is about 80 feet high , unveiled in 1989, is perfectly looking beautiful from all sides. 10 more statues of great students of Budha in standing postures were installed in 1996. These also enhance the beauty of statue.

Huge statue of the Buddha in Bodh Gaya. Entry is free, and the place is well maintained. The statue is 80 Feet in height, and was the largest Buddha statue in India when it was made. It was consecrated by the Dalai Lama in 1989.

The Great Buddha Statue is one of the popular stops on the Buddhist Pilgrimage. The statue is 19.5 m high representing the Buddha seated in a Dhyana Mudra, on a lotus in the open air. The Statues of Ten Great Disciples of Buddha stand on either side of the Great Buddha, as if protecting or following him. All over it was nice Experience 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

The place is greatly calm and peaceful. The statue is tall enough to attract you even from long distances. As you approach closer, you can see the statue is made up of small pieces of rocks bricked together. However, the statue could have been cleaned as there were bird droppings over the face and some parts of the statue. Also there is a lucky pot placed in front of the statue, you can take a coin and make a wish then try to drop the coin over the pot, it's a belief that if coin doesn't fall down the pot your wish will be successful.
