Was a nice place for the price point. Felt clean. Was conveniently located near the interstate and the airport and not far from downtown. The outdoor pool was a huge hit with the kids, and also very well kept. Overall a very pleasant place. That being said, the real star of the show is the night clerk, Zack (or possibly Zach?). I was in need of some linens for a pull-out bed in our room for my grandson so I called down to the front desk to ask for some. Zack answered and said he'd have some delivered to the room. I waited about 10 minutes, got impatient and decided to walk down to the front desk to see if I could get them myself. I'm not proud to say that I had an attitude when Zack asked if he could help me with something and I said that I was "still waiting for sheets for the pull-out bed in my room" and instead of clapping back Zack maintained a professional demeanor and explained that he was the only one on staff that night and that he would have to go to the basement to retrieve them. He brought them to my room with a smile. Total professionalism on his part. Kudos.

One of the best hotels ever stayed at! Tracy, GM, was super friendly at check in despite FD inspection. Even had a personalized note in room welcoming us, some candy and bottle of water. They even made fresh cookies in evening. Very comfortable bed, slept great! 5 minutes from airport and off hwy but no noise! If flying in/out of Boise, this is place to stay.

This place is right off the freeway so I wasn't expecting much but when I went inside I was so impressed. They really have cleaned up the place since the Shilo was here. But the best part was the check in process and the local knowledge the assistant manager had. I'm considering moving here and I was given her day trip highlights. And everywhere I went was amazing! Nobody else at the desk knew the area at all so if it is local information you need ask for Delila!! Her customer service was the only one that didn't seem forced it was real and that's important. Give this girl a raise.

I wanted to personally shout out the night manager Dave. I had my flight cancelled by Delta due to weather and they put me here and I could not have been happier with how it turned out. Dave especially was a huge help. Got me into a room I liked after an hour of searching for it and he was super hospitable. The room was clean and spacious with a wonderful atmosphere. The only thing I could possibly say against it was the breakfast. Hotels aren't known for 5 star breakfasts but just some additional entree items would go a long way (Grits, hashbrowns, maybe even some country ham wouldve improved the selection) Overall an immaculate stay, and one last shout out to Dave, he should get a pay raise.

The hotel was clean and modern in appearance. The staff were helpful and friendly! The room was amazing! It was spacious and well decorated for a hotel room. I was surprised at how tall the mini fridge was and how much food it could hold. The bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well, despite the highway noise. There was an ample amount of lighting. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely stay again in the future. I still can’t believe this hotel used to be a Red Lion hotel!

The pros who staff this motel are unique in my experience. They were all so welcoming at the end of my very tiring driving trip. Check in was fast & easy. I used a luggage cart to unload & move my many bags & sacks. Prices are reasonable compared with the large chains! And talk about service--the lobby has a convenience store selling frozen dinners, ice cream, drinks & other treats. I enjoyed every minute of my 2 days.

The late check in was great and the front desk staff was very courteous. The rooms looked like the pictures on their site. The room was clean, huge and the shower was great. The water pressure was strong and the hot was hot… to answer all the reviews about there being no hot water was that they opened the water valve all the way to the left… the issue was that it’s backwards to most shower valves. With the showers, you only have to barely turn it from on from the off position to get strong water pressure and very hot water. I would stay there again if I was close to another and would stay at another Hotel 28 somewhere else again! This was the first stay on a one week cross country road trip where we were moving to the east coast. I will look for them again on the east coast during my travels.

Not a good experience. Didn’t have the room we reserved. Have us what they considered upgrade, but wasn’t. Had a giant space in the room where a couch usually goes. Waited half an hour for eggs at breakfast and finally left cause they never came. Notified the front desk people have been waiting a long time for eggs. After I left he made a snide comment under his breath to the other staff member it was only 15 minutes. Which it was much longer. Waited another ten minutes and decided to leave with no eggs. Bad experience. Won’t return.

A couple of years ago we stayed when it was still the Red Lion. It is the same location and building but now Hotel 28. Super happy. Rooms are clean and had everything we need. Outdoor pool is very nice as well as the lounging area inside and the hot tub. The pool is outdoor only. I would recommend getting at least 2 more umbrellas for the other outdoor lounging areas. Also would be good to repaint the steel/iron braces of the umbrella a different color than the floor because that’s a pretty big safety hazard since they are about 4 inches off the ground. Big time trip hazard or toe stubbing and foot cutting. Gym is great exactly what you need to keep up the consistency. When we were last here was pandemic so had a bad sack lunch, looking forward to the breakfast this time around! HUGE value for the price. Great price. Great location. Gas station/food literally in the parking lot. And pretty much everything is 10-15 mins away. This will be our local stay when we visit Boise. They also have ice machines and a laundry area.

The customer service here was excellent, friendly and kind staff. Breakfast options were one of the best we had as we traveled a lot for this trip. We had a suite and were supposed to have a sofa, but there was just a big open space (not a big deal). Unfortunately, there was mold in the bathroom, this is my biggest complaint. The alarm went off very early (we didn't set it) and non of the buttons worked, could not shut it off, finally got it unplugged from a very sleep deprived state. Vanity light quit working as we were trying to get ready to leave, I just let the front desk know on our way out because i didn't have time to wait for someone to fix it.

Wow what amazing staff! Everyone from Front Desk to Housekeeping. Great energy with the aviation decor, They have a whole new look. Location is perfect for anything you need to do in the treasure valley.

Firstly, if it’s important to you, please be aware that this hotel directly adjoins a very large truck stop. Otherwise: the front desk concierge was polite, and there was a nice, personalized card in our room. Those were the high points. Unfortunately, even at the price point, the room was not up to expected standards. The bedding was strongly suspect of not having been changed, showing clear indentations from prior occupants of the room, and the mattress itself was old and uncomfortable, it’s best days long behind it. The pillows were small but serviceable. The toilet and shower also showed signs of poor housekeeping, my wife feeling the need to clean the former before using it. At least one of the provided bottles of body wash showed signs of tampering (the lid was not screwed on correctly). The bathtub itself creaked and flexed as if not properly supported. Some fixtures are updated, but cheaply, and many older touches remain. Walls and floors are not very soundproof and noise could be heard from all around all night long. Overall, this one was a miss for me.

We were a group of 23 teenagers and adults in town for a sporting event. The staff was amazing and treated our kids so well. The rooms were nice and clean and beds were comfy. The best part of our stay was how helpful Junior, at the front desk, was in getting us rooms for our group that were close together and would fit all our kids. He even gave us a group rate that was better than the price listed online! Thank you!

This was my first stay at this hotel and it definitely won't be my last! Amazing front desk service. Very quick to resolve any issues we had within minutes. First night our refrigerator wasn't working. A gentleman brought us another one within minutes. We needed a shower chair, and they brought us one immediately! The room was very clean, very spacious and perfect for my mom who's currently in a wheelchair. It's right next to the interstate, however the noise was so minimal that I was actually surprised. Beds were cozy. Only a 10 minute drive or so to Saint Al's Hospital for my mom's surgery. All in all would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful hotel! We stayed for 2 nights dues to personal circumstances and when it came time to get some sleep, it was quiet, calm and relaxing! The biggest surprise was being so close to the airport, its was neigh unto impossible to head any aircraft landing or taking off! If you need a quiet and comfortable hotel to stay in, Hotel 28 is the one to pick!!!!

I had to stay here twice and both times had good experiences. They have clean rooms, hot tub, gym, possibly a couple other things I just didn't have the time to see everything. The continental breakfast was decent as well. The area seems pretty safe, and it's right by a truck stop that has restaurants, pool table, and arcade in it. They have a shuttle as well. The only gripe I have about my stays is that both times I had to wait in the lobby for a while before getting checked in, and the second time was about 20-25 minutes. But it was later in the evening, so I just gave them the benefit of the doubt. They did have great customer service though, both times. Definitely recommend.
