5 star vegan food that you wouldn’t know is vegan. Friendly service to boot! Add the bar in the middle of the food court for a perfect place to eat and drink!

We came to Boise for a competition and Googled Vegan restaurants. This was the first place to pop up!! When I say this play does NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Let me tell you!! The flavors blend together and gives the food the right amount of crunch and spice!! I ordered the 3 side Chic Meal with Mac and cheese, collards and brussel sprouts. Crunchy, savory and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My daughter order the Chic Sandwich and she did not put it down until she was finished!! So, if you are ever in Boise, Idaho stop in the Chow Market and see Ms. May at Vegan Soul!!

10/10! Wish I could give it 100/100 because it’s THAT good. Whether you’re vegan or not, this food doesn’t disappoint in flavor, portion size, and even cost per serving. It’s perfectly seasoned, delicious, and full of tasty soul food classics; but vegan!

Very tasty southern vegan food. The bbq was fabulous. Mac ‘cheese was good down home cookin’ (though don’t expect gooey cheesy- it is a totally different, tasty experience). Burger was great and roasted Brussels sprouts were good though a bit salty. Fries were fantastic. I’d back off the salt just a smidge on the seasonings to make it a perfect 5! The place is a stand in a food hall with a bar in the center, so it was nice to grab a beer to go with dinner.

I have been traveling the country for 6 years and trying vegan food wherever I go. This is some of THE best vegan food I have ever had. Highly recommend!!

I'd like to write a more thorough review later but for now I just want to say this place is so delicious and I love eating here! It's part of my weekly friends lunch rotation ❤️ I often end up getting a full platter of sides and still wishing I could eat more of the menu 😅 I recommend Vegan Soul to everyone!

Got “Chicken” and collard greens. Seasoning was absolutely amazing and very prominent. This will be my go to stop each time I’m up in Boise. Very very impressed and super friendly 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 bless it be

I was excited to try this place and I was not let down. The chik'n meal was well seasoned and the batter was crisp and held up well. The collared greens were on point. The Mac and cheese was the best vegan Mac and cheese I have had. Every single dish was well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

The Mac and cheese was delicious. I got the jerk chicken sandwich and I didn’t know it was going to be that spicy. It was extremely spicy and I could only eat half of it. I wish the menu said “very spicy” next to it, to warn me so I could order something else. Or they could have asked when I ordered it to make sure that level of spice was ok. A child took my order and I didn’t know to ask about spice.

Delicious ALL vegan food, even my omnivore partner enjoyed! Devoured the oyster mushroom po-boy. The owner/chef made us feel at home, so sweet and accommodating Thank you Vegan Soul!

Came with family after hearing great things about this restaurant. I was completely blown away. The “chicken” sandwich & chicken meal with brussel sprouts and peach cobbler were amazing, 10/10. Definitely worth the wait.

First time having vegan food, and soul food vegan food at that. I was pleasantly surprised that all the items on my plate maintained the integrity of the soul food flavors, crunchiness, and deliciousness. I had the chicken with collard greens and mac n cheese. The vegan fried chicken looked like chicken, had the texture of chicken, crunchiness of chicken and above all the flavor of fried chicken! The mac and cheese was amazing, and the collard greens deserve a chefs kiss! 10/10 Would definitely recommend for vegan and non-vegan foodies!

I wish I could give this more stars. The food is amazing, it took me back to the amazing food I had living in the south. When I went vegan, I didn't think I would have this good of food again, but it checked boxes I didn't even know I had. The fried chicken had an amazing crisp and the breading was to die for. The coleslaw was cruchy and fresh and absolutely amazing. And the biscuit I had tops any others I've tried. I grew up on baked mac and cheese, and what she served me blew that out of the water. The owner is one of the sweetest ladies I've met. You can taste the love and effort she put into crafting a fantastic meal. Even though I was in a public place, I felt like I was sitting at her dining room table getting served one of the best meals Ive had. Anytime im within an hour of Boise, I will be stopping by. This is a meal that can be loved by anyone, no matter their food restrictions. I couldnt recommend this place more. Its food like this that makes traveling for work away from my family worth it.

I finally was able to recently visit Vegan Soul in Boise, Idaho and was blown away by the delicious, plant-based cuisine. I was so excited when they announced they’d be located at Edwards Spectrum, making it much more convenient to enjoy their awesome food. Their menu is diverse and has something for everyone, whether you're a vegan or just looking to try something new. Overall, Vegan Soul exceeded all of my expectations. If you're in Boise and looking for a delicious and compassionate dining experience, I highly recommend checking out Vegan Soul.

My chicken sandwich was crunchy, crispy, and tasty. The sides were limited, so I got the biscuit. The mac and cheese sounded good and maybe the route to go. When I approached, I did not see a worker, so I ended up at the place next door. They were friendly and told me to ring the bell. It worked. She appeared and took my order. I would rate higher but the price was 20$ for my sandwich and biscuit.

I'd been wanting to try out Oh Vegan Soul for some time, and we finally made it tonight. Holy yum, talk about tasty! My carnivore son said the "chicken" sandwich was right up there with the best he'd ever had, and my po' boy was amazing! We sat at the bar and had some tasty drinks with our food. Even if it's a 30 minute drive for you like it is for us, it's worth it. Great night out.

Phenomenal food. Our favorites are the chicken sandwich, po boy, and fried pickles (ask for extra sauce). The soul rice is pretty delicious too.

Holy cow! This is absolutely incredible food! So often vegan food misses the mark for flavor, but she nailed it! We couldn’t stop eating it! Can’t wait to go back here! My fiancé is not vegan and she said it was amazing! Highly recommend! 10/10
