Poor service, foods cold at best and chips are stale. Gave this place a few try’s but the staff just seems to cop an attitude when you ask for another drink or try to order. Seems it’s too much to ask to get minimal service here. Last time, lots of other options with better service and drink menus. So long Anna!

We went there for dinner. Understand being busy but waited 15 mins and ended up going to the the bar and ordering our drinks from the bartender. Waitress finally showed up after we got our drinks and said she'd be right back to get our food order. Another 30 mins later she never returned so we paid our bar tab of only one drink each and left. Sorry folks, you guys lost good customers. This was the second time in a row so we won't be back.

Hooligans has changed a lot with new ownership and mostly for the better. They have a lot more organization that has brought in a more respectful crowd. The food is better than you'd think, and the mixed drinks are surprisingly good. The best part for us is they are within walking distance of our home. This was the first place we took our son for some adult fun when he turned 21. Fun memories.

I had high hopes for Hooligan’s especially after hearing about how awesome their burgers are. However I found this sport bar pretty average. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad in any way at all but it wasn’t exceptionally memorable either. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered a PBR ($3.00) and cranberry vodka ($6.00), respectively. For grub, we chose Nachos ($9.00/half order, $16.00 for full) with beer cheese (+$2.00) and chicken (+$3.00), and the highly acclaimed Hooligan’s Burger (locally-raised, grass-fed beef with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato on an Acme brioche bun with fries, $13.00) with American cheese. The price is just right for the great quality of the food. The nachos were fantastic – they were extremely generous with the toppings which were all fresh. I couldn’t really tell a difference in the cheese. The burger was cooked just pink enough (which is default, you have to tell them if you’d like it more well done). But it wasn’t much more than another pub burger. Again, I am not saying it wasn’t great. It just didn’t stand out in my long, long list of fantastic burgers the Treasure Valley offers. Fries were yummy! I would definitely return for the great priced drinks.

Apart from the cold beer at a fair price the food is awesome. Great place for lunch if alcohol isn't on your menu.

The only reason this is getting two stars instead of one is because of the bartender, Danika, who was super pleasant. This bar is dingy and so is the clientele. Food was disgusting too. Greasy onion rings dripped grease when you bit in and probably the worst French dip ever; small and dry. The worst part is that they allow smoking on their patio, so not only can you not enjoy a nice day outside (although the patio has zero ambiance to invite this), but every time they open the door to go to the patio, nasty smoke wafts into the bar. A definite one and done for my friend and me.

I used to go in for drinks, food, and good times. I still do, I just don’t drink anymore. Zero pressure to order booze and they always have something n/a to hand me. Great staff, great atmosphere, and always a great time.

We went here last night for trivia. They had an lengthy drink selection with really awesome service. We go to trivia all over town but this location has the questions on the TVs all around the bar!! We’ll never have to ask the host to repeat the questions again! On a more serious note, we recognized some pretty amazing actions by the bar’s owner. There was a large group of people wearing matching Proud Boy uniforms having drinks. We all felt very uncomfortable sharing space with people who are so vocal about their horrific ideologies. We then noticed the bar owner respectfully asked them to leave. My friends and I really appreciated Hooligan’s commitment to saftey and keeping their space free of hate. We will absolutely be back based on that action alone.

I had never been here but my experience was amazing. I found it to be incredibly well renovated with lots of space inside. The staff was awesome and so much fun. They do make very good drinks. The food, wow, I did not know a bar could make such a variety of foods for all kinds of people. This includes vegetarians, vegans, and all meat eaters. When I come back I am going to update and post pictures and a menu just as I usually do. I hope you all enjoy visiting this place!

Servers are amazing and the atmosphere is super nice and positive. My partner and I are vegan, and although hooligans is not a vegan restaurant, the chef makes sure there are some awesome vegan options. We've had the flatbread, and it is extraordinary. We tried a special as well, and it was delicious. We definitely look forward to the next time we return for a meal.

Really like the vibe here but there is one person behind the bar that has absolutely no personality, seems more like a bouncer than a bartender or bar back. No smiles. No conversation. Just not what you would expect from someone behind the bar. Also not working most of the time. On his phone more than helping the Bartender. The bartender was awesome tho. Maybe he should be a bouncer besides be behind the bar. Obviously just advice. Cheers.

Fun place to play pool, shuffle board and darts. They have a trivia night some nights as well. People here have all been nice and fun high energy. Drinks haven't been the best and glasses taste soapy but still will go back for the games and environment

Went there because of good reviews. Got there and seated ourselves, waitress came by 5 minutes later and she would be right with us. In the meantime no water no menus or place settings. So another 5 minutes, we got are own menus.. still no water or when are order might be taken. An another 10 minutes went by....we left. Wasn't that busy either, about 60% full at about 1:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday

Best Bar in town. Its a no bushit kind of place, Great regulars, good drinks. Great quality good. Bunch of TVs for football season. If you want a bar to feel at home everytime you walk in that door, Jay did great in creating that environment.

So I show up and meet some friends for a few drinks. Things are all good till we go out on the patio and take a nicotine break. Our waitress comes out to check on us and takes our order and is casually conversing with us, (nothing outside small talk) then boom a new waitress demands our card for a tab thats clearly already been started. She was nothing but rude and states that it's policy and our previous waitress forgot. Mind you 4 drinks have been ordered between two people. So to my understanding this new waitress has our drink order from the first waitress. She then brings back my card and only 1 of 2 drinks. She was very short worded and very unpleasant to deal with. Then we try to tell her why we're confused by what happened. Immediately after we try and address our issues with what has happened with no warning, she gets very loud, irritated, and disrespectful. Saying "I'm not gonna do this, I don't need your advice", all while using hand gestures. Then I say "we are just reciprocating the same energy you're giving us." Then magically She meets the first waitress in the door clearly within ear shot stating we are being so rude to her. Keep in mind we were just trying to figure out as to why we switched waitresses. After she came back out the second drink came out with the closed tab that I asked for when she said "I'm not gonna do this." I'm definitely not impressed as a boise local and this is not how I wanted to interact with her but will not be bullied when I'm a paying customer. This was my second time at hooligans and it's very questionable if I'll ever go back. Such a shame.....

This place gets packed and not a lot of seating room. Drink prices are a bit high. Friendly staff and fast workers. x2 Pool tables are always full. Not my preferred go to but it's a decent place

Going away party for some coworkers here and with some heads up we were very well accommodated and well taken care of. Food was great and prompt and our waitress Alyssa ensured everything went great with a party of over 20 at one point. Great atmosphere here and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Great food options. Tried their BLT & Chicken Sandwich, both were great. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

Showed up at 758pm. They stop serving food at 8pm. Was told they started closing a couple minutes earlier. The bartender said...."we are more of a bar then a restaurant." And btw....I called to verify when the grill closed. And was told on the phone....8pm. Sad world we live in.

This place is gem in Boise. From the excellent service to the extremely reasonable prices to the availability of shuffleboard, pool, and TVs, this is the perfect neighborhood bar to hang out at. The owner has done a great job at keeping this place in shape and maintaining the friendly neighborhood vibes. Will be back!

Wonderful place for an easy bite to eat or drink. I've been coming here since the old owner had it run down, the new owner has made this an awesome joint for sure.

Great place with a busy atmosphere. Much better since they updated their menu a couple years back. Can be a little bit cramped during busy times but overall a fun place to chill.

After our initial feeling of being ignored for 8 minutes, our server did come & get our drink order. Drink was very tasty! Beer was ice cold & yummy. We were there for an hour or more having drinks & saw all kinds of delicious food brought by us until we couldn’t take it any more and ordered! Nachos & garlic Parmesan cauliflower. It was the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten! We took a couple bites of both dishes & couldn’t eat anymore. When our server asked us about the food we told her how much we disliked it, she didn’t really respond. She took the full dishes back to the kitchen without an apology. What surprised me the most was that there was no mention of a discount or subtraction of the cost of the food! We paid full price for food we couldn’t eat, without so much as an apology! Very saddening! I doubt if we’ll ever bother to try food here again.

I have gone there at least twice a week for two months. Not once has the owner said hello or recognized me. I even had a $100 square for betting on the super bowl. He didn’t even thank me for that. Their prices are HIGH. Not real friendly atmosphere. Go elsewhere

Issues happened with some friends while my husband and I were there. The manager and employees didn't blame us and were still professional and didn't kick us out. Which is great. Drinks are cold, food is always amazing. Employees are awesome. Highly recommend.

Some staff very cordial. some not so much. Big difference who your waitress or bartender is. Cooler about 5 degrees to hot but they put some beers in a tub of ice. The draft and other drinks are served a little warm . Food looks great. and the smell from the kitchen is so good. It's a liquor bar now and they make nice looking cocktails.

I love this place. Laid back but fun as heck. Great music, vibe and service and pool and shuffle board. What's not to like? They also have a famous person working for them.
